I think it was a month ago? While I passed through a tiktok of Cleo De Nile from monster high, I thought that Chloe Bourgeois and Cleo De Nile had very similar backgrounds. The only difference is that Cleo had friends who tells her what she was doing wrong and also pulls her out her pit of darkness while Chloe did not. Both Cleo and Chloe also had nerdy side kicks, Ghoulia and Sabrina. Both are also queen bee's, rich, and both have trash fams though Cleo had more development.
She could've been such a good character and the fact that when pointing out how her character development was thrown in the trash, the writer answers that fans shouldn't have been expecting a redemption arc for her?? Maybe that's what they expected it because that' s how good writing works??

It's sad because he doesn't percieve Chloe as a genuine character that people are inspired by and relate to but as an object he can manipulate to fit fantasies that are no longer tolerated by the MLB community

With all the other antagonists the show has, I was hoping Chole got a redemption arc. She was so close, too! Lila could be filling the same role they have Chloe in now.
I got this idea forever ago that, after Chloe lost the bee miraculous, she actually had character growth where she saw the faults in her actions and started to realize through Ladybug talking to her that her mom was terrible. After some time later when she starts to be aware of the mean girl act that she’s always played, Ladybug comes back to her in the midst of a battle and gives her not the bee miraculous, but the bull miraculous. See, as Queen Bee, she mostly just tried to replicate Ladybug with her suit and her weapon and such, so the idea of her growing into her own completely original, completely different version of herself once she’s had more growth seems really cool.
I've never heard the full version of this song and _wow_ It's so much better than I realised, and this animatic worked amazingly with it! I love it when people take songs about being mistreated by a lover and turn it into being mistreated by a parent since I can relate to that and the lyrics give me ideas of things I might say if I'm ever not terrified of my dad lol
This would've been a great scene in canon where Chloe calls out Audrey on her crap and been a great empowering moment (Audrey wouldn't register any of it because she's Audrey, but still). Sadly, we have to make do with fan works of the show because the fans have more love for it than the actual freaking writers.

This just made me realise that how much Chloe was going through underneath. MLB's storyline and fanbase declined after she was neglected and her redemption arc went to trash. MLB would seriously have been much, much more liked right now had THIS been the story.
Chloe would make a great future hawk month instead of Lila cause Lila just does bad thing cause who knows yet maybe for the hell of it... but Chloe already has reason and depth into why she would be the next hawk month. I wish the show had a better overarching story where we could see Chloe develop, it would really give a better message than Thomas just wanting to insert a character based on someone he hated.
I really thought she was gonna be a good person, like a redemption arc but she never got it. She just got more mean with clearer intentions and goals. Even if she wins, she’ll never give the miraculouses to shadowmoth she’ll probably learn that it can grant a wish and she’ll use it for her own personal gain.
Imagine you gotta act a certain way to get your mother's attention and your father neglects you unless you demand things , people hate you because the only way to get your parents attention is annoying and hurtful to others but you don't know to change or what to change into to also make friends because no one will give you a chance, you finally start learning how tho slow of course but then you slip up while improving once and your annoyingness doesn't help so you've lost everything... again . Then comes your sister out of nowhere who isn't even related to your dad but your dad actually takes care of her and tries to teach her things , you tried to become friends with her in the only way you know how but that fails. She then takes everything you've ever wanted, she has a loving father , friends and super powers in all in an extremely short amount of time . All you have left is the abusive mother you gotta act like a clown for .
Chloe is the best character in the whole show She is the most complex and well written character Compared to the other characters who are shallow If I compair her to marinette she is much better Marinnete for a protaginist Is selfish,delusional,obsessive and shes an awful hero Chloe may be a bad person But she has an excuse to why she is a bad person She has been neglected and abused by her mother And the first friend Chloe ever had was adrien That's why Chloe fell in love with adrien in the first place She is an amazing character and i love her so much. I think Astruc is being petty, childish and partial. What he did to this character accomplishes nothing against his old bully. And if he made her have a sad backstory, that means he must have considered the possibility that the bully also had her own problems, and yet, he doesn't have the empathy to care. Astruc is a pathetic, emotionally unbalanced shallow manchild. And that reflects in both the main characters and plot.
Well I kinda agree calling him these things are harsh considering it is his work but here is the problem this work he is presenting it to people When I watch anything I expect from the people who worked on it to have a respect for my time and to not treat me like an idiot However here with chloe ( I won't say her redemption arc was even completed or even amazing and I think they should have taken chloe 's redemption arc more seriously but she still had alot of potential and she was actually the only character from the side characters to have that much focus and episodes for her alone) we were treated like idiots and they wanted to piss the audience off by giving her development an interesting backstory and character depth but abandoning it all afterwards. They also forced us to hate chloe and like zoe Zoe feels less than a character and more like a glorified plot device.
