My month is down over 40% from last year same month....same listing habits and quality of items. I went and got a janitor job as ebay is unsustainable to pay my mortgage.
I focus on listing & shipping my store has low cost item & premium items. I list list list & surpassed 4300 items & ship daily at 3:00 pm. I price @ 90% of value & charge calculated shipping my sales this month are up 12 %
I’ve noticed through the years that sells always slow down on presidential election years. The uncertainty of not knowing how the country is going to be run causes people to grip their wallets. It will pick back up a couple months after the election. Side note, thanks again for the advice on employee uniforms. I use to pass them up. Now I can’t keep them in stock. Even sold a 7-11 top overseas.
Average selling 10 items a day this month But I’m damn near have to give them away. Cash flow is just not there. A very low profit. People just aren’t on the platforms buying. Have a ton of Carhartt shorts all with tags, barely selling any.
I don’t know what it is with the sales. I’ve been on eBay since 2001 and I was a flight attendant back then and couldn’t list everyday. There was no scheduling. So I’d list like 4 days a week and man sales were booming. But now it’s ridiculous how slow things are. I work out of my home but I’m chronically ill and it helps. I have my e-commerce and book editing business all run out of my office. So, that way I do separate my home life from work life. I use the office only for work. If there’s a family situation we go talk and chill in the living room. But I get that it doesn’t work for everyone and some need a completely separate location. Blessings on your business.
I list everyday, 20 to 30 a day and I don’t currently cross list but when I did I used vendoo. I’m currently delisting with auto posher. I think vendoo was better but the verdict isn’t in yet.
I think promotions has something to do with it. People that increased their promotion % initially got a spike in traffic and sales then eventually normalized as others raised their %. Sellers are then compelled to raise again just to be competitive and it doesn’t stop until EBay takes most of your margins. Oh, and don’t even think about lowering your promo rate. Unless you have highly desirable items, it’s going to be tough going forward.
On autoposher are you paying for the delisting feature? I think you have to make sure delisting is ticked on in account settings and then you gotta verify the rows.
I'm kind of new. 3 months. I thought i was doing well since I just do it to fill in my time. I'm right at $1000 per month but this last week I only had 3 orders. The last order was for ski pants😂😂😂 im gonna stick with it though. Working on my death pile 😊
I think that with folks personal economies gasping for air that people are just trying to find clothing that isn't ripping their wallets. Everything fluctuates, so we keep fluctuating with it.
My sales are sucking but I'm doing an inventory clean out so It's expected. I pulled out about 1/3 of my inventory to sell elsewhere. I like to sweep up the dead meat before 4th
My sales seem a little slower, but when I compare the numbers to last July, it's actually about the same. How do your numbers compare to last year? Sometimes, when we have a big markdown or move several higher dollar items, it makes the normal seem abnormal.
@DixonsPickins Right. I forgot you were listing a lot more, plus I don't think your markdowns were as drastic. I think it will even out eventually, but if not, you go back to the drawing board, maybe retrace your steps, & if necessary, figure out another way.
Sales have been terrible , past four weeks. Not sure what has happened again. Still listing items though each day. Glad you are at least doing well. For the rodent, there are always two, so hope the landlord takes care of it immediately as those vermin will start eating the boxes then your inventory items.
@DixonsPickins peanut butter is good but you also want to try and mix it up. Grab a slim jim and use little cuts of that. That is my go to bait when trapping mice. Overall the best way to get rid of them for good is to find where they are coming from. Also keep an eye on your inventory boxes that you dont/haven't been in much. Mice make nests where things aren't disrupted much. Boxes of clothing are a perfect place for them to nest. Let me know if you have any questions
@@beorbeorian150 I’m not accepting those kinds of offers on Levi’s unless I’m desperate! I’ve been selling them for about 16-20 though. I’ve been selling items all over the place though
@@DixonsPickins Like I always say you are my lucky guy. Always say give a thumbs up and you will get a sale withing in 24 hours. Once again it worked not a big sale but I will take $7.00 on a $.50 item. Always sending love to you to succeed. Thanks. It is bleeding down to me.
Man I went from 10k a month gross average to 3k this month, and I sell everything so its not just clothes. Its been horrible....i did $27 today.....I think yesterday $18 lol Ever since july 13th its just really almost died out for me
@DixonsPickins I think it's a mix of things. Hopefully it'll start to smooth out a bit soon. I've been hiting my death pile, and listing survival/camping gear. Anything prepper related and it's getting alot of traffic
This is me exactly, went from 9k a month average for years straight and then all of a sudden June 24th all traffic started dropping and am now struggling to hit 4k a month. I am scrambling to find a job to pay my new mortgage.
@theganglandlegacy I hear ya! Gotta do what you gotta do 💯 I finally sat down on my desktop, and did a complete overhaul of my store. I'm still on pace to break my highest annual net, but I'm gonna have to have a really strong 4th quarter. Keep your head up though! You got this
I live right up against a huge mountain so we definitely see our fair share of mice to mountain lions. I do catch and release with mice. It's not all the time maybe once or twice a year I'll catch one in my garage.
@@hangingtrends640 I understand the mindset people have but I can’t be worried about upsetting a couple viewers when it’s not their problem to deal with
@@DixonsPickins What is your method of taking pics of the clothing. I see resellers who take pics on a leaning type board. I have clothes but no type setup yet.
