In the EU I think a 911 997.1 is around €55,000 very expensive now I see why many in eu do bmw as it’s a much more affordable option I mean if the cars are that price I dread to think of the price of parts for a overhaul on a Porsche 😧

I never said not to buy anything that’s down to you to make up your mind with what you want to buy just I won’t be buying anymore BMWs not at peoples crazy prices. £500 yes I will give that for them but not £2000 or £3000 to me they ain’t worth it for resale.

@BMWDoctor 100% agree with you fella. It's getting to the point where I'm thinking of breaking it if i had the storage space, the stupid offers I've gotten. And I'd double what my asking price is if I broke it and only sold the engine roof and wheels🤦🏻‍♂️ They don't seem to realise thay it's a 18 year old daily driver, if you're giving your savings for it, you ain't never gonna keep it when it breaks. Thats how I got my 520d. A mate paid 2500, 3 months later 2 front arms spat the bushes out, egr cooler was leaking gases, the starter packed in along with the wiper relay and the instrument cluster. I took it off his hands, and now just have the cluster, egr cooler to remove and blank, and a couple of other pieces to sort.

I really don’t get bored of Porsche trust me bro. I mean have you ever seen me strip and entire car apart on this channel with a bmw ? Have you ever seen me take a bmw engine out ? But you have on a Porsche and would I do it again in a heartbeat I would! To the point I can’t wait for to put this one back together and take out my boxster engine but I wouldn’t do that for a bmw. I have that ambition and drive with Porsche where I don’t with BMW because the rewards are not great and doesn’t drive your ambition to do that to them. I think me taking the engine out on this Porsche and overhauling it front to back shows already how ambitious and passionate I am for that brand compared to bmw. But I won’t get bored and if I do the next thing for me is a 911 turbo or a TVR cebera but there is no going back for me for bmw.

these days they are designed to last till about 80K and they soon give problems thereafter thats why bmw cut back on their warranty for there cars due to knowing the life spans of the cars and engines are getting shorter

So BMW 6 cylinders or M cars aint real cars....

I have said it before and will say it again. BMW don’t make sport cars and never will and never have they are luxury executive cars designed for carrying passengers for cruising and the highway. And they are real cars of course but never In Porsches league and never will be M cars there is nothing special about them Porsche always wins with the 911 and as for the 6 cylinders the N52 is a good engine well I think anyway don’t care what others think but if your going to tell me a 6 cylinder diesel is anything in Porsches league or you think that’s a fast car you have never driven anything else. I can tell you right now I had my M5 and my Porsche and the Porsche was faster by a mile M cars are not track or race cars. Porsche is better build and is better quality all over inside and out and you find more people restoring Porsches and more and more RU-vidrs buying Porsches then bmw. Porsche know how to sell a car they know how to make their cars hold value and continuously rise in value by limiting supply just like the 911 ST right now and the GT3 and GT2 bmw have no clue how to sell a car and no clue how to make a car hold its value strongly they dish their cars out to anyone who wants them hence why they don’t hold value and so many people can buy them. You can’t compare a luxury sedan to purpose built track cars not even in the same league. Porsches are a investment bmw is a burden that’s the difference you see it all over people restoring pumping unlimited amounts into Porsches you don’t see the same with BMWs. And as time goes on people will become more wise and buy more and more Porsches soon RU-vid will be riddled in them you see people getting rid of lambo and mclarens for Porsches why ? Because Porsches hold value from the get go other cars depreciate year upon year. So if your asking if bmw is a real car then in practise yeah it’s a real car but not the same car as a Porsche and never will be not even close in the league of a porsche. BMW have no race or track record Porsche have and still have today where are bmw ? Porsche are known for track and there is no car better hence why I laugh at people taking BMWs to a track they can only wish that to be something it ain’t. Porsche is a real sports car bmw is a luxury executive car people dress them up with cheap parts trying to turn them into something they are not and look like clowns even when I’m in the Porsche at stop lights and a bmw driver stops next to me they are always eyeing my car up I don’t even give them the time of day like when they want to fly off like they have something great when the reality is they are jealous they are driving a £3000 car that’s falling apart and won’t ever be more then £3000 where us Porsche guys don’t need to make a point if we wanted to embarrass them we could very easily.

Everyone can chose what they like, but my view is, for 911 money, you can get way faster BMW. For what it’s worth, 911 are holding their values better because there’s fewer of them. BMW are mass produced compared to 911. It’s not the brand only, but rather the scarcity and some weird fame that the 911 has. As a proof, look at Cayenne - you can get it for peanuts and it is a Porsche… At the end of the day, they are all just cars - some valued more, some less.

No one anywhere on the planet would ever say porsche is a bad car. Ill admit Porsche make the best all round sports car the 9/11 a car that can run a quarter of a mile in 10 seconds and you could daily drive it. But porsche and bmw are at different ends of the market and the prices of the cars reflect that. Of course an M5 is not going to out perform a 9/11 its a heavy 4 four door saloon its not meant to. But just because porsche is good im not just going to turn around and say BMW is crap because thats not true. BMW 6 cylinder engines are brilliant and their M cars are magnificent. No one is stopping and staring at a boxter a honda s2000 would get the same looks. A 9/11 yes as you dont see them around everyday. If I pull up at traffic lights in a M8, M6 or even the brand new 7 series its going to get its fair share of looks aswell. Bmw certainly do make sports cars thats what the M cars are. BMW has a fantastic racing history. E30 M3 the most successful touring car of all time. BMW has the Record for the most BTCC titles being the only manufacturer in its 63 year history to win 6 in a row. BMW victory at Le Mans with the BMW v12 LMR. Yes Porsche are brilliant and do make better track cars than BMW but BMW make some fantastic stuff too

Is that so well I think you need to go do your research my friend regarding Porsche and bmw. Clearly you have been mis informed bmw don’t even sit anywhere in the league of road racing gt racing and off road racing. Unfortunately I know more about Porsches racing history then bmw and being a solid and loyal member to the Porsche clubs and community I can tell you now bmw ain’t even in Porsches league Porsche set the bar for what track and race cars are meant to be remember bmw started life as a luxury executive car Porsche started on a race track let’s not forget that. And sorry to tell you a a M6 or M8 does not get my attention 😂 it looks like your ordinary 8 series same as a 6 series with the M6 no different. And I would beg to differ on that question as my boxster attracts a lot of attention let’s not forget the 987 , 997 look the same at the front and nobody knows what it is until you see the rear. And just to answer your own question about bmw being the greatest car here it is for you Porsche is always a force to be reckoned with This is exemplified by no less than 19 overall Le Mans 24-hour victories, more than any other manufacturer ever. So there is your answer where is bmw ? Nowhere 😂 and never will be I have said it before and I will say it again Porsche set the bar for other manufacturers and they can’t beat it everytime they try too Porsche release another car that’s blows the other party’s out the water again! Let’s face it the 911 turbo s is still killing all the newer BMWs even today and let’s face it that car is now 17 years old but will still hammer a 2023 bmw m3 😁 listen I know my history very well and bmw are nowhere let’s face it they couldn’t even stay in formula 1 long enough Porsche still exist and are part of competitions even today. And please don’t compare a cayenne to a Porsche a cayenne is not a real Porsche neither Isit a track car that was a failure by Porsche and they knew it they only made that to take the sales off bmw and Mercedes and to enter the competition but that isn’t even considered in the Porsche community a porsche neither Isit desire able. When you talk about Porsche it’s 911 the heritage behind a 911 is far greater then any bmw to exist.
