The hell let loose team absolutely nailed that ww2 atmosphere, the maps are very detailed specially the building interiors. Also we were playing on 100 player servers and I had the same if not better framerate as in post scriptum running only 80 players per server. On the negative side the game has a lot of desync issues. Almost every round turns into a meat grinder over the middle objective. Many of the sounds and effects are very flat and underwhelming. It is still limited in terms of content with only 2 maps. For now I'd say keep an eye on it but hold on to your wallets until it comes out of closed beta and theres more information. Overall, I really enjoyed my time playing but I need to see more before I can recommend it.
@08:50 .. talking with the dead guy made me remember the car drive in "sin city" with the dead baddy having his gun barrel stuck in the forehead changing (imagined) voice as he was ragdolling around ...
RPG-7 is the same way. Idiots in the Middle East will take the safety caps off all their rockets every time they go out. All they have to do is DROP one on the nose and it'll go off.
@@waltervoidbringer4491 the basic PG-7 and other early grenades didint have any arming distance. Modern rounds do. Btw you can fire with safety cap on, or so i was told, the grenade should smash it on impact and detonate.
yeah , but this is what war actually is , or was to be exact . Making war politicaly correct is only a fact of modern time , before that , they slaughter whoever was in front of them with everything that explode they can hang on .
0Turbox if enough shrapnel hit him it could blow limbs off so it’s not that unrealistic think about the shockwave and shrapnel of a HE around blowing up literally 5-6 feet from you
@@0Turbox Uhm...You never seen how a living being reacts to being hit by HE? Me neither but my brother. And he accidentaly shot some sheep with sharp ammuntion during training in Grafenwöhr...With a Marder. *Which has a 20mm BMK and the sheep just turned into blood, foam and blood foam.* HE is no joke mate. Why do you think NATO MBTs dont use HE? To prevent any kind of big ass warcrimes LUL
@@tramachi7027 Did you guys watched the video? I was talking about a 75mm he lands several meters away from a soldier. Not about a 20mm direct hit or a 500 pound bomb.
You don't "become" Band of Brothers flashbacks... Which would mean you actually transform into Band of Brothers feedbacks... You "get" Band of Brothers Flashbacks... Get this right please my German friends... A Swiss German friend of mine would always say that he "became" an Email and I always crinched so hard thinking , no dude, you didn't actually transform into an email, you received or got an email :D
@@andrewcarpinella1217 Actually the series and the book follow the company from their training in 43 to the end of the war in Germany in 45. This looks to be set during the days following the landing in Normandy, june 44
Interiors have way more "life" into it About sound effects : i'm not concerned, this is a beta, things will evolve Gameplay seems fun and developped with the community inputs Optimization seems very fine Gore : well, it give that "plus" for immersion Tank gameplay seems pretty well developped with variable armor values for tanks I will certainly enjoy this game way more than PS because optimization and gameplay focus Devs seems to have found the right way !
The tank armor is not finished yet, as of now it's a pretty simple HP system with more damage from side and rear, and a health pool for the turret and tracks. They have planned to include a realistic damage model though.
@@davekerryvane3015 fair enough. But if you're worried about the PTSD. They probably shouldn't be risking it by playing these games in the first place.
Didn't realize Red Orchestra 2 was getting a graphics update after all these years and a western front update too! (This looks absolutely amazing holy shit)
Oh God this dosent look good for Post Scriptum love the dev's and squad dev's but this game look incredible they made the right call by not releasing it early to compete with PS and instead kept developing it and it looks fantastic the addition of gore is just that touch PS needed
The artillery, the dead bodies and remains is frightening to see. It adds so much to the typical ragdoll. You begin to feel sorry for the enemy....almost.
@@Chironex_Fleckeri yea I agree completely about mechanics being more important that's why I loved project reality, but the issue is that visuals sell games to the majority of consumers and with out sales you can keep developing a game...
0:15 Ray are u seriously T-bagging those guys? 0:20 and then throwing a grenade at their corpses? for shame Ray for shame. XD 0:25 *HOOOOREEEEEY SHIIIIIIIIT*
I love how Nano sounds when he says, “dude” with his accent. “Come on, dewde!” I can listen to him all day, especially when he’s bashing on the legend, Ray!
Straight out of Saving Private Ryan! Only instead of a gurgling throat shot and writhing on the floor, his wounded buddy is striking up casual conversation looking like he's trying to take a nap.
actually bought the game today after seeing some of your videos. it feels damn good. I'm not a social gamer, so I don't normally like using my headseat. but since the first match in Hell Let Loose I've been an avid talker. and it makes it much more enjoyable. thanks, dude :)
@@AlexSDU According to google- Janky is a slang term for something run down, of poor quality, or unreliable. It can also be used for someone considered undesirable in some way.
it looks like an worse version of Post Scriptum but better version than day of infamy xD i like it | Edit(1 min later): Nevermind just saw an Graphic Comparison .... im stupid | 5 mins later.... just checked the Homepage ... i will never write anything not-good about Hell let loose ....
@@dustinboyd3284 i dont have it but yea you are right ... i first thought like a few weeks ago ... that post scriptum has the nicest graphics and buildings ,Mechanics/gameplay and shit like that but now ... nah man ... Hell let loose is much better in all of that as i saw
WerRolf chill big guy the game isn’t even finished yet, obviously the game with better graphics would be played more, because games can be updated giving it better mechanics whereas in PS they would have to redesign a lot of the game basically making a new game, and for what? Better graphics. Seems like a waste of time.
@@Отличнокоммунист See there is ur fail. U have totaly 0 knowledge and just say ur opinion. Ur opinion is fine, u prefer HLL. BUt dont talk that Shit today, Graphics are easier than good gameplay. If u have ever programmed u know it but its ok. Both are important, thats for sure, but u can upgrade both easy.
bro that intro clip was brutal.. like the grenade part looked a bit cheesy but him shooting those dudes damn near looked/sounded real, especially if you got rid of all the game GUI's and stuff. Crazy realism in this game. Can't wait for it to come out!
Stef Maes I’m not 100% sure, but I think any tank shells fired directly at infantry is a crime. It’s not about the pain the soldier goes through but rather the fact that the family of the man would have to live knowing that he was killed in such a horrific way, plus having no real body to bury. Also it’s just super overkill, and a waste of ammunition
I stand corrected. All explosive shells are a crime to shoot directly at soldiers. The m377 is a canister shell, a non-explosive shell that kinda turns a tank turret into a giant slug shotgun.
The Geneva Conventions don't cover any of this. They cover treatment of prisoners, wounded, non-combatants and shipwrecked sailors. War crimes under Geneva are things like executing POWs, attacking marked hospitals, etc. Most people confuse Geneva with the first of two Hague Conventions. The first, 1899 prohibited using poison gas or bullets designed to expand or firing explosive projectiles from balloons "or analogous means". Fun fact; the US never signed this one, so we can issue hollow point ammunition to our hearts' content. The second one, 1907, covers legalities like captured ships, declarations of war and things like that. There is some overlap between the Hagues and Geneva, mostly in treatment of prisoners and non-combatants. But they're all different. And no, it's not a war crime to use HE in a direct fire capacity.
Good to see bigger RU-vidrs covering hell let loose as well it's definitely my favourite World War II game currently. See you in the next test. 2 weeks.
Bro it really makes me mad that the enemy cant hear us now. I love that in insurgency. But i guess people are too soft to take a little banter. But killing people isnt a issue. How weird.
Ok, so it's no Post Scriptum (not even close). But it still looks damn good! We'll see if they can iron out some of the gameplay issues. Looking forward to this project!
