Here in Brazil, we consume a lot of eggplant; It is used to make stews, juices, and even eggplant lasagna. In addition to being tasty, it has many health benefits.
Thai eggplants are one of my favorite plants to grow from seed and to cook. They are great to grow in 5-gallon buckets, with sweet and hot peppers, herbs, and tomatoes. I generally put five gallon buckets of lavender, pink carnations, pinks, and geraniums about in the vegetable garden. It increases yields. Eggplant leaves are fuzzy and large on the plants. They are really quite beautiful to look at and yield a lot of fruit.

As familiar with Thailand to have stayed there a few times, you really have a favorable climate for the garden. Great idea for balconies or even fences surrounding backyards. It would even be better to shade the containers from the sun as they dry out 10 times quicker than planted in the ground. I would put more of those containers on the bottom rung beneath the eggplants and on the other side overhanging and the greenery that grows from the bottom ones will shade the eggplant containers and give more veggies.
I agree, great advice. I live in one of the hottest city in Indonesia, so I will definitely need that (unless I keep moving them to other parts of my house/fence accordingly), or else my poor plants will be burned in a matter of days...
So I gather that he cuts any foliage that doesn't get sun so as to redirect the energy into the fruit. Just the leaves on the underside. I once heard that with regard to Camellia trees. When all the buds appear, if you want your flowers to grow larger, just pick half the buds off and the energy that would have gone into growing all the flowers is now redirected into only the remaining buds making each one larger.

This is the truth. Holding informations isn't a great idea of being a successful RU-vidr. Because the more communicative (albeit written) and informative the videos, the more views, supports, and subscribers they will actually get. Unlike other non-education businesses, sharing knowledge and experiences will be more profitable in the long term... I hope he reads these constructive criticism with big heart so we (his subscribers) can learn how to be more like him, and in return he can make more money. Otherwise, it feels kinda like another show-off/brag videos of his amazing green thumb...
