Hey, this is with genuine interest, I ask, and I'm hoping for some sort of response, if not from you, from someone else who is more into this than I am, but genuinely I'm so confused. Lets get it out of the way, bullying and deplatforming for no reason is bad, but is that really the case when someone is outwardly promoting and glorifying something well known to be centered around the sexualization of children, or minimally individuals who are purposely made to look underage. "Loli is a body type", yes, a body type meant to look like that of a child, and the idea of sexualizing a child-like appearance is never ok in any sane mind. I don't care if they are 10 thousand years old, if they look and/or act like a child, which seems to be the case for the whole video this stems from, it's disgusting and I don't see how something that is actively sexualizing children is not pedo bait. Trying to act like because its drawn, that its entirely different is like saying it wouldn't be wrong to AI generate pedophilic content because it's "not actually a child". Its also not like its well know that a lot of this content is produced in Japan where they dony just LOOK underage, but with the character outright saying they are. I'm sorry, but as genuinely as I can say this, none of this makes sense to me, and just sound like the classic excuse that people use of "they look and act like a child, but they aren't so it's fine". If that's the culture, the anime/manga/hen culture, which outwardly and obviously has major issues with sexualizing underage/child-like individuals, I don't see in what world being fine with, or in this case, become more "accepting of the culture" is OK.

Then there are people in this comment section minority of them who is Braindead to think it seems convenient. Bro this is one of the most genuine apologies I seen and I seen many typical ones. This one is one of those stand outs.

Vedal also is the realest dude, seems to be immune for drama and is just a good dude who doesn't play up a persona (expect being a bad father, especially to Evil). As for bigger content creator, no need to go far, I can give an example that probably as nothing to do with this, I saw a discussion in asmongold stream about streaming being easy or not, and he said you think it's easy, go stream, prove to yourself that is easy, and not long after, another discussion started about farming drama, and he said, I sometime have to mush fun farming these ppl, if they continue with this, I'm gonna farm the hell out of this drama, and there's a lot of imature ppl in chat that don't think, but still put 1+1 and think, in gonna start streaming as vtuber and farm drama, now how to start some drama to farm?.... It's OK to farm drama as long you are not part of the problem.....

I think she started off in the VRChat space. It isn't totally crazy that she would go the VTuber route to stick with the avatar-based content creation while allowing her to play normal games.

That is something I am questioning as well. I mean, it's good for her that she understands and loves the anime culture now, but why get into it in the first place if you didn't know it anything about it?

People like this have to get started in it somehow, so it makes sense that there would be an explanation of what caused her to get into it. In light of the obviously genuine apology, and the fact that she was not seeking to shift blame to them, we must take the "a friend gave me advice" comment as genuine as well. And boy if I'm not intricately aware of how much harm can be caused by trusting the wrong person. People forget that "bad people", people with incredibly harmful views, opinions, and actions, can be just as good in other aspects of their life. Someone bigoted against the LGBT crowd could absolutely be a genuine sweetheart to straight and cis people, because they view them as human, but others as less-than. So when you see a person being a sweetheart to everyone you know, and then being very aggressive toward people you don't, it's actually difficult NOT to come to the conclusion that the people being criticized deserve it. Because "a good person" strongly believes they do. That's the danger of forgetting nuance exists. Basically, what seems to have happened is that Camila went through something at least similar to my above example, and then when she started to meet the people she was taught to attack, she realized they were real people instead of subhuman monsters, and reacted accordingly.

yep i normally avoid drama youtubers. if they're just doing news stuff like rev and false, i'll watch that, but most the drama stuff is just like a continuous bruh moment to me.

@@Harkz0r I can only speculate as to her reasoning but I do know that the other streamer at that time had basically one of the largest influence in the VRC community and was the top of that category at the time. She was still finding herself and trying to catch her break in streaming, so maybe that had something to do with it. I also don't know that I would call her "weak" per-say since she did actually end up breaking off into her own thing during that community's peak as she did more as Camila. Either way, I think she has learned and grown and is a much better person now, and that's what really matters imo.

@@Michylawhty Exactly, that is very telling. Usually the apology is like what described in my first reply, or worse they point fingers and try to shift the blame.

I have seen many apologies over the years on the internet and most of them were only made to minimize backlash. The amount of genuine guilt feeling apologies are extremely rare to come by. I have a good eye for these things. I really do think she means what she says here. I didn't watch her until recently the past couple of months. She really does come across as genuine with her opinions. She was definitely dumb and unaware of how she reacted towards people with different opinions. Perhaps it's the way she was raised or she went to college. Whatever it was seems like she grew out of it and matured for the better.

Everyone who knows about her already knew she was a tourist hack, she didn't admit to anything, lmfao.

I mean alot of alot vtuber are not into anime but use camoflage as vtuber model to milk people. Me I dont understand why those people watch vtuber that is not into anime or manga. Then again vtuber simps or enjoy are different breed specialy western audience. Then again you keep it seperate as avatar > anime because those people just can be weird as hell for being a vtuberfans.
