He never disappointed me concerning his Christian standards in every aspect of his life. Pat Boone made a lasting impression. In 1968-1969 I was stationed in Tokyo (USAF), and I attended a little church just off the Air Base. One of the officers found out Pat Boone and his family were in Tokyo for something. Here is a very famous singer and actor with all his family. They are meeting contractual obligations and trying to have a family vacation. It was Sunday night in an incredibly large city. They got separated, but Pat and two daughters made it to the little church. He made such an effort (during the era of the Vietnam War) just to encourage everyone. Other than his dedication to just encouraging the people of God, Pat got nothing out of the effort; his wife and he were separated in a big city in a country they may not have visited before. I know that he also served on an important board at Pepperdine University for decades. I would see him from a distance (because I vowed never to impose on someone like him), at a Pepperdine event, a place where I would spend 30 of my 35 years of college teaching. I have great respect for Pat Boone and his whole family. Perhaps I will meet them in the Heavenly realm. :)

Dear Sweet Pat, my husband and I grew up listening to your songs and watching your movies. We married when I was only 18 and he was 20. We had almost 54 years together before he died on August 9th of this past year. He was the love of my life, just as your Shirley was to you. We will see them both again some day, but the waiting is the hardest thing I have ever had to do. God Bless you for your courage in telling your story so soon after losing Shirley. My parents were married 62 years. My Dad held on until 2:30 am on May 29th 2016 their anniversary. They loved each other and my Mom went to see Jesus and reunite with my Dad in 2017. I take comfort in knowing I will see them in Heaven one day♥️🙏♥️🙏

I was pat’s limousine driver in Jacksonville, fl I the 1970’s. He stayed at the hotel I was also working on the front desk. I can say he was the most perfect person I have ever met. I had him for two days in the front seat and I really enjoyed him. He was on a concert here. Beautiful person. He’s just like you know him in the movies and on stage. I have a large picture of us in my bed room at the air port. We are close to the same age. And he was a Gentleman. I would love to see him again. Thank you Pat.

Grief comes in waves. I’ve found that when you have grief continuously, you have lots of regret. If you’ve done everything you knew to do for the loved one you’ve lost you don’t have as much grief. I lost my brother suddenly when he was 25. I learned that lesson then. When he stepped on to a plane to return to his home in Texas, we never dreamed that would be it. I would advise anyone to not leave things unsaid. Undone.

I am from Chattanooga Tn. I remember Pat Boone use to come to the Childrens Home on Bonny Oaks drive quite often to visit with the Children there. What an amazing person He and his wife are. So sorry for the loss of his beautiful wife Shirley. RIP God Bless You Pat Boone

I always said we could not have had better examples. My husband went home 5 years ago. Seems like yesterday, still such a precious part if my life. When my husband went home I remember falling on my knees at his bedside with the tears rolling down. All of a sudden it was as if someone lift placed theirs beneath by elbows and lift me up from my knees. This over whelming peace over flowed me and has not left me. This is what I pray for you and your family. I could not have made it without that peace that God gave me. Praise His Holy Name.

It is so hard to be parted especially when you have spent your whole life with your sweetheart. My parents were married the day after they graduated from high school. It literally almost killed my father to lose her. His grief was palpable. I hope Mr. Boone has come to a place where he can stand knowing full well "That this World is not my Home", as the old hymn says and he certainly will see her again in the City Foursquare. I attended the congregation where Nick led singing. He sounds a lot like Pat. They had the difficulties all marriages go through...but they hung in there and righted their ship.
I remember meeting Shirley. She was such a gracious lady. I had hurt my hand and she knew I was a pianist. She mothered me, gave me suggestions...just sweet. Praying for you, Pat. You will be with her soon! We all will!

Cant remember the song but I played it over and over until I learned how to whistle with Mr Boone. Always admired him and loved his talent and happy attitude. Guess shirley was greatly responsible for that. May she rest in peace.
I don’t think Pat would ever see my comment,but I got saved at a David Wilkerson teen challenge ralley in Anaheim,ca. It was 1969. (I was in 8th grade) He (Pat) and Debbie and Cherry all sang that night. I seriously walked forward not really understanding the gravity of what was happening. In the coming weeks I felt Jesus in a most profound way in a humble small home. I have had a few bumps in my road of life but always know Jesus IS the way the truth and the life. Thank you Pat. I met Shirley Boone the day she was on TBN . We met at the Circle Restaurant in Portsmouth Va. she was with 2 people from Dallas the show. I was so excited to meet her and blessed.

I will never forget being on TV with Pat when I was 14 yrs. We became friends and he has always been a great person as he is such a fine Christian. I know what he has gone through as my husband died in an accident and it was hard. I pray for him that he will remain strong for his family and live a good long life liked his parents did. I knew the Holy Spirit since age 3 yrs, but did not get filled with speaking tongues like Pat until I found out about it and wanted it for myself. Sadly I did not see him at Pat Roberetson's 70's birthday party in D.C. as Pat's Mom went to be with the Lord that very day, but I met his dear friend, Gavin McCloud ( Capt. Stubin on LOVE BOAT). GOD bless PAT for a long life and hope he finally moves to Florida where he was born.
