I've tried the Zoom G5N for 6 MONTHS: FULL Review

Excellent review. I would suggest to press the two type button simultaneously; this will let you choose effects much faster. While pressing one button, you can scroll the other button when selecting an effect.

I'm not a beginner and I love mine. I work with it, always with micro On. Never used patchs factory. 🙏🙏🤘🤘🤘

Do you also tweak your amp setting when using the g5n for getting desired tones

Zoom works very well with the added analog pedal. I use it like a pedalboard with the external wah and drive pedal.

Isn't it better to use NO Amp Simulation and NO CAB efx at all if using a real amp? Ive heard that the sound should be worse in G5N if using Amp/Cab simulation if going to a real amp - which should sound as it is...I understand that it might be useful to use Amp and Cab Simulation if going direct into the DAW/audiointerface/mixer without amp. Ive got the ME-80 and G3X and always done it like this. Are there global settings to swich off CAB and/or AMP Simulation like it is in the Zoom G3X? Ive ordered the G5n already, hoping it bring improvements in the "drive" section. Overdrives have been always the weakest point in multi efx. What do you think about the OD and distortion efx in the G5n? Do they sound naturally or still harsch (to much high freqencies) or muddy?

If i want to record from this, is it better to use the USB connection or to just go from the mono out into my interface?

For the zoom g5n can the pedal chain in this processor be split before passing in the amp? Like if I have to make wider tones like using two amps one delayed after the other to create a wider tones... To create like a hard panned guitar / dual tracked guitars..... Can I do that in this processor?

all i can say after using this for 2 years and switching to line 6 helix is it is 100% worth it for beginners. zoom g5n's main drawback is the overdrive and fuzz and some effects like the pitch sounds very digital. line6 you cant tell from actual pedals. for the price, it is 100% better than competitors. g5n amps amd cabs are suprisingly accurate.

what about boss me 80 in comparison to zoom g5n

May I shut off the cab/mic options in the patches by using general optionone for all without getting mad in doin it preset after preset? Thanks.
