As someone who has made Blackpool their home town you can take it all for granted been able to access it whenever you like, but when you listen to someone who comes from a different part of the country and compliments it's hidden treasures of the past it does make me proud of everyone who keeps Blackpool going ☺️💯

Been on all three piers, mainly like North Pier due to the theatre. The view from underneath each pier are just stunning .

Another great and very interesting video Tim. That container giving out free ice creams is a publicity stunt for Netflix's latest film about zombies, watched it yesterday night and gave it the thumbs up, not for the faint hearted though!! Thanks for the video mate!!

There used to be a helipad at the end of the north pier with regular helicopter journeys along the promenade

Around 1963 there was a huge fire at the end of the South Pier which burnt down a theatre I believe. I lived in Blackpool way back then and always remember the sky was red. I could see it from my bedroom window. Just thought I would mention it...🔥🔥🔥

I like that bar on the north pier - it's quite sophisticated (for Blackpool). It used to be scruffy and smelly, but they jazzed it up during last years lockdown.👌

I do like walking along the sea side piers when in the UK. Loved your video Tim as we visited Blackpool on a really rainy winter's day and, not being able to face the rain, we retreated to a Costa Coffee for a hot spicy apple juice (yum) and so didn't get to see them. Your videos are almost like being there and we will live vicariously through them until we can leave Australia's sunny shores for another lovely UK holiday. Looking forward to going on the merry go rounds as they are my favourite fairground ride.

Blackpool gets slagged off all the time, but there is no denying it is amazing for different attractions. I would say if you go there on a family holiday it is fairly safe. However once you go into the pubs and clubs and walking the streets at night after dark it becomes a dangerous place.

I never thought of walking under the piers. the architecture is indeed interesting. I’ve never used the telescopes either.. good piece of information you gave through out the video. Waow the oldest pier is from as far as the 19th century.

Great video I love piers but have never been to Blackpool would love to have the choice of three. I work as a volunteer on the MV Balmoral pleasure steamer and I know she used to sail from one of Blackpools piers occasionally , i believe it was North. Neil Bristol . 😢

Oh to be back in the good old days.... 2 years ago! Also, it is stupid to jump off our piers even in high tide due to currents, pier metal work and the water is soooo cod all year.

Just come across these video's and several have some personal memories, this one with the North Pier as have worked on summer productions in the past, Lily Savage being one. The Winter Gardens another place I know well, its impressive from the public space, but the behind the scenes passaged to the various theatres are really something. Even the Liverpool Adelphi Hotel is in my past. Interesting to seem them all up to date, some doing better than others.....

Started off with Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft and moved onto Blackpool as my family and I will visiting each of these places later in the summer. They used to advertise the comedians by the side of the piers as a kid I thought they must be performing there, I remember chubby brown being advertised there I cant remember the others. Was there a theatre next to it or something? 17.07 you just said its got a theatre. Wonder who performs there now coz it seems all the big stars did.
