I Visit The Last CU-1 Stage Left on Earth! At CEC Springfield, IL 

I was NOT expecting this show to get saved but I'm happy it was!!!

Dang it felt like yesterday when there were still 3 of these stages

I lived near the Whitehall location. I had held out hope that they weren’t gonna get taken out, cause everytime I asked, the removal date kept changing. But then they got ripped out the ground which was incredibly said. In 2 weeks, they made it look like they were never there. It’s sad how much CEC wants to get rid of their unique feature, cause now they’re essentially just Dave and Busters aimed more at kids. But thanks for these documentations so people will know these guys existed.

I remember when Springfield’s CU 1 Stage show was only in average to decent shape back in 2023. Happy to see it running better since Springfield became a Legacy store in 2024.

I’ve been waiting for this video! I love being able to watch these since I never really got to experience a stage besides when I was very young and scared of munch 😂. These really make my day!

I just visited that location a few weeks ago and man was it cool to see the animatronics in person I couldn’t keep my eyes off them the entire time I was there it’s kinda cool that the closest Chuck E. Cheese to me that still has the animatronics are the cu-1 stage

I’m a little late to the party but better late than never! It’s cool you went back here, Chris! This is a store I NEED to try and get to when I get the time off. I was going to try and head to Whitehall but unfortunately they remodeled before I could get a chance. This was months before I was going to check out Columbus as well from Tallahassee. I just seem to have bad luck when it comes to seeing the CU-1 stage LOL! Considering this Jasper still has Beach Bear’s guitar, it is very high on the list for me to see. I read somewhere they were remodeling in September of this year but again, don’t know how true that is since Tallahassee got their remodel pushed back to later this month. Hopefully there’s time to go check it out. As usual Chris keep up the great work! Love watching your rockafire and Chuck vids and always happy to support. God bless!! 😊

You should visit the chuk e cheeses in Covinton Louisiana we have a cool 2.0 stage and go check out the games they still have pac man

I see the title of the video and realize my home chuck e cheese Whitehall had to have gotten rid of their bots recently. I dont know when but it had to have been recent. As a kid i found the bots a bit dcary and unnerving. Now i appreciate their unique technological advancement. Glad that youre helping keep the memories alive. The only, only optimistic thing about removing bots in other places is maybe this location gets spare parts...

Wow! Visiting my local again! I wish I could have met you but I went 3 weeks ago :(, Also the plate was there until late 2019/early 2020 because i remember seeing it myself And the 2.0 date is scheduled for sept 2024 last i heard but other than that the condition is improving bit by bit! It’s crazy how fast these stores get remodels

The Northridge, CA store is about to change to 2.0 and it's depressing.

I heard their 2.0 got pushed for September of next year, who knows how true that is. Heard a worker mention that. Hope it’s true, from Milwaukee and it’s a drive but do want to go see them

CEC really fucked up by getting rid of (and having employees destroy) the animatronics. They should get rid of the awful, recycled pizza, the dirty ball pits and tubes, and should make it easier to win cool prizes. Overall, they’re just shooting themselves in the foot.
