I have been there several times; the view through the 36 inch of Jupiter was only so-so, but the machine is a marvel. The view of M13 through a 12 inch refactor is unforgettable. Google Earth has some really great views taken from the inside of the domes.
I was in San Jose for work exactly one month before I took my first astro photo in 2016. Had I known what I was going to get myself into I would have checked this observatory out. Maybe next time, lol.
