You dream of a pond... I had a beautiful koi pond when we moved into our house! It had gorgeous planting all around, perfect boulder placement for optimal waterfall sounds, literally everything you could ask for in a backyard pond... but then my toddler child started playing in the backyard! Ponds aren't so cool then! Put a short fence around the pond to save the beauty while protecting the baby, then had a second child. Your second child will challenge EVERYTHING! Ended up filling in the pond and putting in a sunken trampoline! Wonder if the SIMS will ever add that kind of option! Lol

i love how kayla only ever does sponsorships with brands that really match with her and her content, it says a lot about her as a person (ie that she doesn't just grab whatever deals she can get) and this vlog is so cute!!!

@@reigen_arataka_fan9681 the laptops for what they are, are a pretty good deal actually. $1,300 for a good gaming laptop is pretty standard. It might be expensive for you but isn't really that expensive in general when comparing it to similar products. The casetify cases i do agree with tho, i was looking into getting one until i realised i could legit buy a whole ass video game for the price of a phone case.

what a really neat way to incorporate a sponsor, a house tour, and the Sims! like that makes so much sense, bringing a laptop around room to room and building the house in the game as you go. also i love these little irl house vlogs, they feel kinda special since it's not something Kayla usually does

As someone who actually owns a Lenovo Legion, (albeit an earlier version than what Kayla is showing) I can personally vouch for it. Sims 4 runs really well on it, and I'm also able to run more graphics heavy games like Cyberpunk and Planet Zoo. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to upgrade!

@Mk_Brad⚡️ I don't have it but I am going to assume so because it can rune the sims 4 with all mods and cc just fine so i dont see why not. but maybe bc it's less optimized it might run a little choppier

@@2minixo I have an acer laptop that runs most games really well (sims 4 with mods, cc/planet zoo/dead by daylight, & more) but I don’t believe any gaming laptop would be able to run sims 3 smoothly. You need a beefy pc for that. (Also keep in mind if you go the laptop route, you’ll need an external hard drive all your games and downloads. I got a 1tb for $60 or so from Walmart. It will severely slow down your computer and eventually ruin it if you have everything downloaded on your hard drive.)

Here in Italy the 90% of condos and even some indipendent houses have terrazzo floors, it is always a nightmare to recreate my own house in the sims😂 Anyway, you made a beautiful build as always❤️

It's mid-century modern design. The style originated in the 30's but became more popular after the war. It's peak was the 50's-60's. It's different than a modern home. Two different design styles. A few similar aspects but overall very different.

You know you’re addicted to the sims when you see a house irl and your first thought is “that’s just like the stone from cottage living!” or something along those lines. I often like to go “window shopping” for houses (I.e. drive around looking at houses) and my mind always translates it into how to build it into the sims

I love this! This is the feeling I get from shell challenges when people manage to make the Sims feel more like reality with knick knacks everywhere or using the tool mod to orient some wood beams, etc. In this video the kitchen and the outside especially are really so unlike what Kayla usually does, but it's awesome to see how good this works. (And I'm not only talking about that awesome pond, but that carport was really nicely done and furnished.)

Lowkey unrelated but I cannot fathom using a mousepad to play the sims…HOW. I have a gaming laptop (different brand than the sponsored one tho lol) but I ALWAYS use a mouse to play the sims. Seeing you use the mousepad looked so hard 😂

Growing up, I would take tons of pictures and videos of vacation homes my family stayed in, then I would come home and recreate them in the Sims games!! I've done it a few times as an adult on my own too. It's so fun to be able to see it even after leaving, and maybe share with friends who weren't there. 😊

I always wondered... is it common in the US to have very large, one-floor houses when you have a large terrain, instead of doing a two/three-floor house? Anyway in Spain we usually live in flats or detached houses, so one of these will be amazing here, too, but I'm kind of curious. I use your videos sometimes in my English foreign language classes to teach furniture/housing vocabulary and many of my students ended up following you in YT!

the water disappearing glitch happened to me too and in my case was because the yard was seen as a room in my build but then i took away a part of the fence and it was fine, then to fix the hole i did in the fence i did the little fence outside and the manually place it in its place

I wish you could add throw pillows and blankets to beds, chairs and couches. It could just disappear when they are in use, but a little pillow that you can select can really tie a space together.

I've been building based off of some real life Japanese houses! And it's been such a wonderful thing to do! I also just built a house that has the same layout and floorplan as a house that I used to live in! Just so much fun!
