As someone who commutes to NYC everyday can confirm that the city is utterly broken as far as Pokémon, but good luck trying to keep your Pokémon in a gym for more than 2 hours

I live in the city, you have to play in Manhattan from 110 street and down … in midtown all the raids will always be full

I used go work in midtwon. Raid hour was amazing. It was a powerwalk from raid to raid, instantly full lobbies. Kinda miss that but I hate going to the city now that I WFH lol

Bouffalant is also in the near by states as well, it spawns when your close enough to Buffalo NY. I've found them as far as Baltimore. Don't know the exact range though

Seeing all those packed pokestops really makes me resent the Wayfarer community. My job takes me to small towns and I try to create obvious pokestops for the local players and they just get rejected.

I love playing pokemon in New York, train takes me about an hour and it's so nice to go for a 30km walk in New York.

I have visited NYC and Santa Monica Pier. I thought the Pier was better, but the Pier was 2016, during the summer of Pokemon and NYC was around 2020.

In my city it’s super rare to see one person in the raid, and there is only like 12 level 50s in the city to my knowledge

Dude!!! I was literally in New York City on a school trip 2 weeks ago. During the Bug Out event, I got a shiny Wurmple, Tapu Bulu, Burmy and a Scyther! And I can confirm that the raid lobbies do fill up fast!!! I also saw a lot of things that you saw as well, I went to Bryant park and was LITERALLY in front of the lion statues that you saw, two weeks ago. It would’ve been so sick to meet you😭

Was actually in New York for Sustainability week! Managed to hatch smthn like 300 2k eggs and had absolutely No shinies from it. Managed to get a single shiny Male Combee from the research tasks tho. Only redeeming factor was the 10+ other shinies i got that week xD

Ever since I have visited NYC I have gotten buffalant spawns in the wild. So they don’t seem so special to me. 😂😂

Bouffalant spawns as far south as Washington DC - I've found it in Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Philadelphia. Not sure how far north of New York City you can find it - probably Boston and Albany at least.

My first carbink encounter was a hundo

it seems to me that if there is a lake around, Niantic shows it as a beach. I play near a grassy, tree covered park with a lake, and it always shows a beach, which is not correct.
