Thanks for taking me around Kalerwe Market. Honestly, am impressed that its more clean here than Owino and Nakasero, apparently coz its more spacious. The number of people in one square meter affects the hygiene and depreciation rate of the place. I wish that the market authorities there consider using that vast space wisely by going verticle. Put in place the likes of Wandegeya or Fort Portal structural plans. It will be more spacious and could free space to be used for parking. This will attract more shoppers and more business for the vendors who make their livelihoods from the market. Good space management would also help n ease the burden of hygiene and house keeping. The depreciation rate of the floors and stalls will also be low. Going vertical means also there's enough air to breath for everyone, a good health option for both the vendors and shoppers Overall, i can conclude from what i watched, that more vendors, if not the majority, are women. A good cause to support Women Empowerment.
