ngl im glad there was no real shaming in this video. we RPers get a lot of flack just for being RPers, non RPers seem to think all we do is ERP, when that's only a portion of us (and if all you do is ERP, that's fine too, you're valid) but we're just here to write stories and develop relationships between characters. hell, im asexual, i dont even get my rocks off in ERP, i just do it for character develpment (bc yes, you can have character development in ERP)
I didn't know our opinions affected you this much. Seems like if you actually didn't care what we think, you wouldn't feel the need to write that there's nothing wrong with RP when there is.

so as I was watching this, I decided to go visit Balmung to see what's going on there. I'm still in the loading screen, and someone immediately says "Posterior breeding thanks???" which I don't really get, but I understand.
ERPers in Balmung are actually incredibly sweet people, and you will never find a more rabid mob when it comes to consent. If the Shout chat even detects someone harassing someone else, then those guy will WISH a GM will be the one to take them out. They're definitely a weird folk, but goddamn could you not ask for nicer people.
Can't be much weirder then anything you could see just taking a casual stroll through Limsa. Only real differing factor would probably be the speedo population
Yeah I dont have the erprer mods that some of my fc members have. Was switching gear and apparently mod checked the entire group. I'm also on malboro. Its been interesting having to switch gear in private. Though now that the afk timer is removed I might put my character in the fc and mod check them while "afk"
They're nice bc they're societal rejects. It's common sense to be nice just to be liked. I've met nice(r) people before, and guess what, They're not ERPers.... You can be a nice a person and not erp in a teen game....
I mean ERP is still RP and a good portion of anyone who RP's, ERP's. Doesn't just relate to XIV either, MUDS are filled with RP enforced servers and it's termed Mudsex there, WoW also has a lot of those who RP that also indulge in ERP...just can't have one without the other lol.
