Congratulations on your big move. You're so lucky that you have a wife that supports you dreams as much as she does. I retired early with the support of my wife six months ago and haven't looked back. I wish you, your wife and children all the best for the future and i think you will make a success of your endeavours. I look forward to watching ghe progress.
@@TheSwedishMaker I do indeed, although this time it was mutual, as my wife got a promotion at work so it was an easy decision for me to leave my job and look after our daughter and enable my wife to move forward with her career.
First and foremost, I would like to congratulate all of you on your decision to sell your house and embark on a farm adventure, pursuing your dream. It takes great courage to stray from the beaten path and follow your heart. I want to thank you for the inspiration you have provided me through this video. As I sipped my first cup of coffee for the day enjoying the Dutch sunshine, I became captivated by your remarks about chasing dreams and the risk and time it takes. It felt as if you were speaking the words I needed to hear right now. It reminded me that things happen for a reason and that we must embrace them. I have been contemplating starting my own woodworking business for quite some time, and your video delivered a clear message. It was as if you were telling me that it was time to take that leap and pursue my dreams. Yes, I know what you mean, so I’m going to plow my terrain and find something I’ve been looking for. Truly appreciative of your honesty and sincerity in sharing your experiences and insights. Wishing you and your family, tremendous success and, above all, joy in your new adventure. Life is full of surprises and challenges, but I am confident that you have the courage and determination to face them head-on. Enjoy every moment, from working with your hands, and cherish the valuable moments shared with your family. Once again, thank you for your inspiration and the impact you just might have on my life with this video. I look forward to your upcoming videos, and I am certain that they will be just as engaging and enlightening. Please continue your excellent work, and keep motivating others to pursue their dreams. Tack så mycket!
I don't know how many think at this way or if algoritms like this but..just showing how you make these wonderfull wood products on youtube is good enough for me ;) Then i could buy one of youre products. Greetings from another maker ;)
Congratulations! I love seeing these “I can finally quit my job to do RU-vid full time” videos. Live your dream. I can’t wait to see where you take us.
Pierre you are the bravest, honest, and most creative person I have ever known. You are so talented and truly inspiring and I have the honour of calling you a Friend. I wish you and your lovely family all the success you deserve. I fully believe you will achieve all of your dreams because of who you are as a person ❤
Wishing you all the good things and luck and best wishes for the adventures ahead of you. Rest well and thank you for your videos. Will be following your journey with great interest.
RU-vid showed one of your videos the other day, and since then i've just been watching your videos. The personality your videos have is amazing. I don't throw around comments, but you and this journey of yours deserves it! I wish you the best of luck my fellow northerner!
I have just subscribed because I love a good renovation series. Better than any of the nonsense on TV! good luck with it, I wish I had your courage to start again.
Dear Swedish Maker, I resonate so much with this video, you almost made me cry. Man, I am glad people like you exist. I feel less alone in the world and much more connected even though I'm in Australia. I'm like you in that I left teaching 9 years ago to pursue a life on a small farm. The freedom is incredible. My cars are less than perfect. Money has been hard to come by at times so I've returned to teaching part time to fill the financial void. My wife also teaches part-time. I dont regard this move as failure but rather a worthwhile compromise. I still get to pursue my woodworking business and other interests + lots of time with my 3 growing boys. All the very best Mate! Looking forward to your future content.
I loved your views on life. Family will award you many more times then your employer, yes we need the financial support of work but not at the expense of giving our family the greatest journey and education of true values. Many holes will appear along the road but a hole is there to be filled leaving no trace as we become more aware of the beauty we have created. Enjoy the road as life is just a breath on the winds of time.
I started my business 23 years ago with a $300 loan from my mother. I was that broke. What I have realized over the years of ups and downs is to just stay busy...just keep working...keep moving...keep getting things done...even when they are not making you money right this moment. Best of luck to you. You seem very honest and humble...something much needed in any space.
Thanks for posting that. Thats what it is all about I think. Keeping our selves busy with the things that gives us the most joy and not the things that gives us the most money.
Thank you for your content. Thank you for your craftsmanship. Thank you for being inspired and inspiring. Your method of presentation and personality is my preferred way of learning new skills in woodworking. Flash and all that jazz is is not you. You be You. I'll groove on that.
Well done! Some of us reach retirement with a head full of ideas for projects. Projects that will mostly never see realisation. It's great to see yours coming together. I do hope you and your family thrive in your new life. Lycka till indeed!
You are a very cool man. I just moved back to Denmark after 30 years away. I'm just getting my workshop up and running. Teaching myself, trying new things. Lots of second hand tools. Planting some crops and getting sheep and chickens. I'm making things from recycled wood, pallets etc. I'll be 60 next month, and I'm finally following my dreams. It's exhausting and stressful, (and expensive), but without challenges, what have you to live for? The next time I'm in Sverige for some fishing and camping i would love to come by just to say hi. I'll bring some real beer and proper whiskey, (Irish)😉
Hi, just found you and liked your honesty and wish you and your family well in your new ventures. Don't know if you have seen Ran Sailing, but they are a couple who have recently bought a farm in Sweden and are building a yacht in their barn. Seems you are both on similar ventures. I am viewing from Tasmania.
Congratulations, love this video and your genuineness. I’ll keep watch and will keep sending positive thoughts to you and your family. All the best from Oakland,CA.
great for your frankness, great for taking risks (big fucking risks), you are great, I hope everything goes well for you, if not... you have a woman who supports you, you will get ahead, I am here to see you become even more big
@@TheSwedishMaker you're up there with bourbon moth and blacktail studio, to me. It's a matter of time before you blow up. It is a lot more work to make videos while woodworking than I realized.
YT algorithm comes up good again... no idea why your video appeared in my recommendations but I am delighted it did!! I am very happy to subscribe and am excited to follow your progress as well as learn more of your past doings. I'm rather more at the tail-end of my life now retired, looking back over my own achieved dreams and those which took a different turn to the one planned. All is good experience and valuable education on Life! I wish you all the very best of good fortune and wonderful experiences. Fortune favours the brave!!! XX
Never heard of or seen your channel before RU-vid recommended this video. But I'm glad I found this. Looking forward to exploring your videos. Congratulations on all your success! Best wishes from another Swedish maker 😀
I have been following your video since many years ago, and I'm very happy that your channel keeps growing, even to the point that you and your family came to a big decision. Keep up the good work and follow your heart.
1st video I have seen. Instant subscribe. You have a heart and a passion for what you do and your family. I don’t make content but I quit my job to do what I love and spent more time with my family. My advice is to wake up everyday and “go to work” I start and end at the same time everyday. It’s from that discipline I been successful. It’s easy to take random days off but twice as hard to get start working again.
Fuck yeah dude! I'm glad you're getting the chance to do what you're doing. Having a good partner in life, as in crime, is invaluable. Best of luck! See you next video.
I wish you and your family the best of luck! This is what we all need to be doing honestly to rediscover happyness. To disconnect from the structures and requirements around us and focus on what is important for real, family, friends and what ever stimulates us.
