OP was so stupid not having a prenup after finding out cheating wife who was girlfriend then had already cheated and lied to him. Whoever cheated and lied to me before getting serious is a huge red flag.
The only thing I blame the guy for is that he was spending WAY too much time away from her at the job. When she was unemployed, and he was so busy, he should have brought her into his own workplace, for office management or something, nothing too ambitious. Then she would not have felt abandoned, and she could have continued trying for a kid.

I don't even get why she and her friends were so fanatical. She screwed around, they had no kids, she showed absurd contempt, all his 'friends' did too, even his partner, which is insane, can't even begin to grasp what that moron was thinking. There seems no basis for reconciliation at all. Also what he said at the end, that she still didn't really get what she did wrong, which is normal for the masses of high body count types, to these women sex has lost all meaning and it's mainly transactional to them, they're serious when they say 'it meant nothing'. If sex "means nothing" with randos she's with, then sex means nothing for her with her partner, either. And it's even worse of an insult to her partner that she would betray him for something "that means nothing". Basically says that she has so little respect for her partner and value in their relationship that she's OK risking that relationship for "meaningless" betrayals for selfish thrills.

Sluts think nothing of sex, for them it's just like making someone a cup of coffee, it's a tradable item for them, which allows them all sorts of goodies they want. But even when she's a virgin when marrying, she thinks far less of sex than her groom, and she's in it for the security, resources, while to him her sex (and children) is the main reason for marriage.
It is easy to overlook home when you are working so hard to give your wife the best you can. I did this almost lost the very woman I was working so hard to give a nice home to. It is a tight rope to walk, but when it's right it is wonderful
If this was part 2 of the same OP, maybe if this OP character stopped being a doormat, stop putting women on pedestals and stop worshiping them, they wouldn't be cheating on him and his friends would expose their infidelities.
Based on this stories and what ive seen in women get jobs by using there assets. When they are in they dont mention that they are married or in a committed relationship in order to advance or find someone they think is better. One thing he said about the conversations he knew she loved him based on the recordings from the PI. NO brother a women respects the man she loves. Her and her friends actions say that they don't have respect for him.
He was a woeful husband. Cared more about his job than his wife and cared nothing about her happiness and well being. It takes two to make a marriage work.
