This song is played every summer in the UK, when it's hot and we're out with the lads or maybe abroad in Spain during summer you'll always hear Brits blasting this

The good memories this song puts into my head makes this an all time BANGER for me

The Spanish island of Ibiza nicknamed the White Isle for several reasons has a huge music history - Google the legend that was Tony Pikes to read all about it. It's mainly known for it's incredible Techno & House clubs/parties kicked off in the 80s by the UKs top DJ/Producers. The island was beautiful then, a feeling of love, peace, freedom, VERY different to the commercial side now sadly. The early UK pioneer DJs that went there came back to London wanting to recreate that Ibiza vibe & Acid House raves exploded 1st in the UK & then all through Europe. We broke barriers - helped stop racism & football hooliganism as everyone became one on the dance floor. The famous 2nd Summer of Love took over with our smiley face emblems everywhere on our clothes & flyers (now on every emoji!!) & we thought we were changing the world for a better place. American DJ Producers came over to catch the mad vibe that was going on & a strong bond between our crew & the Detroit Techno & Chicago House guys grew & is still solid today. They loved coming here as they felt less racism & they were hugely admired where they were being ignored in America & rap was running the scene. These guys in Detroit developed SO much crazy new technical equipment for the studio & playing live that few people are even aware of this now. Sadly a lot of the music was Hi-jacked by cheesy & what Americans call EDM artists 😬 (WE HATE THAT EXPRESSION HERE as it means cheese not quality) but the greats & originals who originally mixed vinyl on 3/4 decks & developed the mixers & drum machines that everyone uses today still fly there every Summer & pack the venues out thank goodness. The sad thing is we thought we were creating a peaceful, loving new world - NOPE - the mandem these days prefer to knife each other to death over stupid post code wars & then rap about how they ching each other up on Drill videos, end u being thrown in jail; Mad waste of talent. It is what it is 😞 The venue where this was filmed is a hotel that has live gigs so invites rappers to perform alongside its pool parties throughout the Summer but the island stays mainly true its musical roots - where you'll find the likes of Idris Elba DJing his incredible House sets for example in very cool venues & beach parties.

Also Konan came up a few times in this video and it's sad how he hasn't been able to get the recognition yet from yourselves. I'm sure you know he's part of Krept and Konan but 'Last Night in LA' by Konan HAS to happen!

The reason for the tweet at the start of the vid was because everyone was at Merky fest. A festival which Stormzy hosted for all the rappers out in Ibiza. Stormzy, Krept & Konan, Aitch, Jorja Smith, soccer player Jadon Sancho, and, naturally, J Hus. All them appeared in the video.
