My mom told me, when I was around 2, I'd go around the house singing this song at the top of my lungs all day... In 1992, she gave me 3 ceramic hippos, a mom and 2 babies... Someone threw a ball and the mom fell off the mantle shattering. My mom was super upset... But, to this day, I have one of the babies sitting on my desk beneath my computer monitor. It's been there for almost 27 years now! I don't think 2 year old me could have fully appreciated Lauren Tyler Scott belting this out as much as I do now ;)

Lord jiminy coleslaw. I've had the original song in mind for years now and I've somehow let PMJ slip my mind the last couple years and only now do I see this cover? Amazing, glorious, fantastic. The singer is fabulous. Nailed it completely. It's the same song but without the childishness. It's amazing.

so story time! My dad loved having a cup of tea, and had a walkie-talkie to call me whenever he wanted a cup from me cause I always made it perfect in his words. whenever the commercial that had THIS song in it was on TV.....my dad would hold the walkie next to the TV when the song played and I'd hear it almost non-stop all christmas I now have a charm on my necklace to remind me of my dad- a Hippo.
