What people in England do not understand is just how politically & religiously driven Scotland is. here is how it works If you are a fan of any club out with The OldFirm you will 100% be a Scotland fan. If you are a Rangers fan you will follow ether Scotland , Nothern Ireland or England. If you are a Celtic fan, you will follow ether The Republic of Ireland or Scotland. I am from The Rangers' side of the fence I follow Scotland & Nothern Ireland & if Scotland was to play Nothern Ireland, it would be the most default situation it would be like a battle between friends if I can put it that way but ultimately, I would want Scotland to win as it has always been home, but my grandparents both sides buy & large vame from Nothern Ireland except my Gran on my Dad's side. Why do some Rangers fans follow England is because when English clubs were banded from Europe Graham Souness & David Murray signed a lotvof Englishman & Rangers became a fucel point for Anti English sentiment in Scotland & so it remains to this day If you go to Ibrox Stadium on match days it would be no surprise to me at all if you seen some Rangers fans with England shirts on. In terms of Celtic The reason why the majority of Celtic fans support The Republic of Ireland is due to their heritage & and their clubs history. but some people from both Old Firm clubs will follow Scotland but I would say since the 80's that is the exception rather than the rule. Most Scotland fans follow ubs like Aberdeen, Dundee United, Dundee, Saint Johnstone, Saint Mirren clubs like that they dont tend to be Old Firm fans. Ally & Alan know the score full well up here they are just playing stupid like they do not because of the politics of the situation the show would not be on air long if they did & the angry calls would fly in they know this full well. The caller will be a Rangers fan, I would put money on it.
