No. What you do is cut a piece of wood (or PVC, or whatever) just the right size to go from the top of the raised window to the top of the sash so the window can't be opened.
GREAT idea. Only people who have endured a loved one that's had to go through hospice will understand & appreciate your comment & having this for their loved one. ❤
@@paige6028 I was going to say bed ridden, but the beauty of life found in the smallest of these (sparrow/birds) is incredibly more significant in the end of life of others. ~Peace to you friend.
My husband heard a thud hit our window and went outside to see a cardinal knocked out. He picked it up and it blinked it’s eyes and woke up. He put it on his finger and held its legs down with other fingers. He came inside with it and I was sleeping in a chair in our living room. He said wake up look what I have. I opened my eyes and could not believe what I was seeing. I took pictures and he brought him back outside. He put it on our fig tree. It didn’t move for a couple minutes then flew off. It was beautiful. He feeds the birds everyday. They are such a joy to watch.
I love our cardinals. They were having a bit of a fight the other day, lmao, really bitching each other out!! One flew up on my walkway solar light and let the other one have it. They’ve been drawn to our yard this year, making a beautiful new addition to our bird population.
Imagine waking up to a window full of beautiful birds every morning and seeing a peaceful, loving neighborhood outside. Just make sure to clean up the bird poop!
Mine and my hubby's too. Our Christmas decor is all cardinals (they always use the red males instead of the brown female for a couple, so we have to joke about that.)
Why is no one talking abt the lady outside getting her purse stolen😭 Edit:I’m nit tryna be those ppl but thanks for all the likes I’ve never had that many in a life time! 🙏
Only 2? Lucky you! I've got 3 Grey's chasing 2 Blacks (mating season), and 3 Reds (one broke his right forefoot) all jockeying at the window feeder after dawn for breakfast. Peanuts, sunflower seeds, walnuts, peanut butter sandwich cookies or pecan shortbread. Flocks of Blue Jays and Pigeons clean up any mess they make. Happy Squirreling!!
@@anonamatron well, no one has ever claimed Aliens, especially the Greys, were not racist, but do you live in Nevada or have you just never seen different color squirrels before?
@holyexperience662 Or for a better word, I'll say fly-thru; like drive thru but since the birds can't drive, it'll be considered a fly-thru. Where they stop by and get their food. I know I may sound corny, but I don't mind. love animals so much! 😊
I just think there adorable tho I have one that crawls up on my screen so he would love that I just can't put it where I feed them cause the whole wall is windo w doors but that's such a smart idea I just would nt want a spider or snak e getting in there.but I love the idea.
@@kahome Solution: snug weather stripping. Once the birds and squirrels know it's there I assure you that the food doesn't stick around long enough for the ants to find it.
@@Flirri no it doesn’t. That’s like saying you can’t have windows because they can see the birds outside. My cat purposely goes to the back door to watch the birds eat bugs close to the slider. He goes to the front window to watch the birds in the trees. He chases things that resemble birds. In his cat brain birds are the most interesting thing in the world besides mice and the mysterious red dot!
Whenever you despair of this life, suddenly a message like this video comes to you, telling you that the world is still fine. I want to say thank you, like these birds.
Whenever you despair in life, remember you small mercies - food to eat, a place to live, health, love of others, your love for others, love of yourself. If all this have some difficulty know that nothing good lasts forever, nothing bad lasts forever. Life is a see-saw and rollercoaster up and down of experiences to remember/learn from. Stay positive, it so works. Much love my friend ❤️ 😊
imagine waking up to beautiful birds eating at that window feeder. kids playing happily outside , nice sunny days , loving family and everyone supporting you with you decisions.
Omg my lizards would love this, flipped around, on the inside, to sunbathe🤩🤩🤩 they already love the window but the sun can only come in so much. This looks like my lizards' dream come true, if it had a clear top!
You see that metal rod that's next to the bowed part? That's what's holding it together. Find a guy or girl that's handy and they might be able to alter it for you. I'm sure the leggy snakes will appreciate it.
@@tickytacky8078 awesome! Of course I'd have to monitor the Temps cuz it could get too hot at certain months in the summer in nOrtheast. Oh! a screen at the top would work out perfectly since ventilation is essential Thanks for the comment. my loveable, silly, leggy snake goobers aka our female chinese water dragon and 2 male bearded dragons, already luv it in their seperate screened windows n each bedroom, and my female chills in living room window by nature table we made w rocks branches and plants to hide in, its sometimes hard to get out everyday the suns out on the lawn to sit and watch them outdoors cuz they also enjoy being harnessed in or by a plant by me or sittin with me but this would be easier for days I can't get out to the yard in time to get the good good sun.
@@ubetchaslots Oh, ok...then you'd be cleaning up the remains of crickets, spiders, other insects....and cleaning up their Salmonella filled poop off the floor. Alrighty. 😁
This is amazing!! I'd love to have one, but i keep picturing the outside of my house with bird poo running down from the window. Maybe if they had a power washer feeder duo I might be sold 😆
So, birds are very messy eaters. Half of that seed is going on the ground and is going to attract mice and rats. And, unless your foundation is pretty sealed up, they're coming into your basement.
Then I’d only put a little food Purposeful pouring Might not last long And I’ll have moth balls on the ground underneath for the days I decide to do so
