As a black man, I appreciate how Aba and Preach check each other in a healthy way . I feel like that allows their friendship to thrive and grow soo amazingly. Big Ups
They're business partners in this youtube channel and with their comedy but they don't hangout together like friends do. That's what they said in other video. They don't have the same group of friends,etc... they may hangout with other comedians or some of their friends but they're what we would called acquaintances. They met through comedy and they vibed well together and they decided to start being a duo. They were doing that even before they started RU-vid. I went to one of their comedy show!!!
@@MyOwnChannel92 okay nice. Still admire how they handle each other ever the less. A lot of men (black or white or whatever) aren’t as open to check each other when they step out of line. So I commend them
This is why these boys are the best: they take someone's unhinged anger and transform it into a genuinely self-aware reflection about themselves and society
After I cracked up at the song, I didnt know they were gonna be mature and poignant...but I should have known. Preach: "I dont think he knows what he is pissed about," was a legit cherry on top of his train of thought.
I also thought it was wholesome af hearing preach say “you called me out” and aba saying that he edited it out (for preach’s honour) and preach ‘i know but i reflected on that and grew because of it’ ❤️
True signs of a heyoka empath. They mirror people back to themselves. It's not meant to be mean, but to help others see where they can improve. Also to show ppl the bigger picture or a different perspective. They can also break down ppl who are full of themselves, in humorous ways. Heyokas are the peace keepers.
Some of the most honest humble and self-aware men on the internet. I don't always agree with you but I respect you guys because of how genuine you are. You say what must be said to create a healthy dialogue.
@@briankenome Pearl started out reacting to Aba and Preach videos, and she knows how massive they are, she was probably dreading it inside. Even Sa Ra was shocked and surprised he tried to go after them. He also thought it was going to go viral and "light up the internet" he was after his 15 seconds of fame and some recognition from Pearl
Man. The level of emotional maturity in these guys, and the want to attack the problem at the root, and even handling it with humor. This is why I will forever love these guys. They’ve got good heads on their shoulders and it’s reflected in almost every argument they encounter. Their videos are not just top tier, their character is top tier. That’s why regardless of the studio, the mics, the creaky floor, or anything else the critics can name, they will continue to grow. Y’all are the best.
Exactly, we aren't so shallow as to allow these unnecessary esthetic related things to distract from the very real, very intelligent arguments A&P make! If your points are good, I dgaf how simple your set up is, and adversely, if you make shitty non points, your nice set up is not going to save you from that, especially not in this case, with Mr. 12-word-vocabulary 😅 No wonder he had to just keep repeating himself
This dude is the prime example of "not knowing when to shut up". The others are like "we were talking about divorce where did this come from?" and he kept going.
not the first time he done that on the show either. I watched a few episodes with him & this guy always derails the convo off topic & just keeps rambling.
It happens when you plan to do something your thought was the right thing then you find out midway that you messed up and should not have even thought about it but you can't stop mid-way cos then you look like a Muppet and then you just have to see it to the end, making yourself look like a ginormous Muppet 😂. If that guy doesn't cringe watching that later, then he's a lost cause.
And YES you are correct about some black men feeling they have to overcompensate. It’s a symptom of a group who feels like they are losing and then in turn want to make another group feel like they’re losing. In this case it’s against other black men and black women. It really hurts my heart seeing this played out so often and it being fed into. 😭
When we talk about “I’m better than you” We are talking about 2 men, who are in the same room they started RU-vid in, with a creaky floor, ALONE with just their own opinion and humor.. who have millions of followers, and views Vs. Multiple people who need to spend thousands of dollars on a fancy set, who needs guest to keep it interesting, who need to say outrageous things to get views, who need to start “internet beef” to stay relevant, who wouldn’t be able to sit in a room ALONE with his own opinion & talent & get HALF the views as Aba and preach…. I would have to argue… the two men who don’t need anything but themselves & their floor to be HUGE on RU-vid… are the ones who are better. But hey, that’s just me
Don't change a thing about your production. You guys keep it simple, and this makes it feel candid and real. I don't agree with everything you guys say, but I respect your induvial views/thoughts. I like keeping an open mind by listening to different sides.

As a mom of a black male child, I absolutely love how Aba n Preach address/diffuse conflict with mental toughness. I hope this catches on worldwide. My child is growing up in Chicago and we absolutely need more, not less, examples of how young men can manage conflict resolution productively. Bravo amigos! 😀👏👏👏 Edit for the trolls: my son has a father, my husband, who is raising him. I'm speaking from a community pov. My children will have to interact with other children without stable homes. We need all the positive male influence that we can get. But thanks for all the unsolicited parenting advice. I hope you all practice what you preach! 😉
Mental toughness? They bash a woman for her views based on her Catholic upbringing and you think they are intelligent? God help us if you think you think bashing views based on religious choice is conflict resolution. Your son should be getting his life skills from his father not 2 guys on the internet.

Never get rid of the creaky floor. That's part of the personality of the "show" and gives what you guys do way more character than these fake "60 minutes" interview setups.
Much respect to Preach bringing up his own faults and self reflection during this. He didn’t have to. Both of you consistently do that and it’s a big part of what makes you the kind of role models young men need. Keep it up brothers.
ABA let's women put fingers in his butthole and you actually think he's the kind of role model young men need 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 . ABA has said on multiple occasions that they don't give af about y'all
In their current "form" Aba and Preach are untouchable 1. Their takes are generally logical so for a sane person at worse you can disagree with them but can't really ridicule them using their takes. 2. They apologize when they realize they are wrong even if there is no backlash or push back against something they have said. 3. They are introspective (demonstrated by Preach's story of how Aba checked him when he was holding on to the FnF thing for too long) further making it less likely to he caught sleeping. Like honestly it is borderline stupid at present to attack them... You can disagree with them but if you come with a "I got smoke" mindset you will be resoundingly owned.
People don't understand that the true fans of AnP we are here for honest, true, unbiased content. We all want more peace in our lives and you all encourage us in one way to think about why we act a certain way. It doesn't matter the size of the production, how expensive the mic is, it's about finding your inner peace.
It’s really them keeping it real that keeps me watching, the honesty, because everyone on planet earth has biases, but when you acknowledge that and still try to get to the root of things that’s real
Those sqeaky floors, that background layout, the single angle POV, is part of the ABA and PREACH RU-vid EXPERIENCE. Nearly 2 million views AND SOARING, and STILL keeping it real!
It's laughable what passes for "alpha male" these days. And the fact that it matters to so many guys in the first place is even more laughable. That being said, I cried when that man said "Don't say we. Just say you." Bro should have really read the room on that one.
It’s generally the opposite. Emotionally immature, lack of self-awareness, poor social capabilities, inability to lead anyone. Generally the idea of a masculine figure is someone who’s strong, a good leader, capable of providing for those in his familial circle, displays good judgement. The “alpha male” entertainment plebs on RU-vid are literally just a 14 year old boy’s idea of a strong man. If you scratch beneath the surface they’re all soft boiled eggs who don’t have any business trying to lead lost men out of the wilderness. They’re just trying to grab headlines and get RU-vid money for chatting shit.
I will be so upset if Aba and Preach ever get rid of the creaky floor…pure comedic genius. Sometimes in their silence the floor speaks 😂. I watch this podcast for Aba’s articulation, Preach’s realness and both of their perspectives!
Hes on an entirely different wavelength from everyone else in the room. They were lost because they didn't know they were supposed be upset. He's by himself for real. He needs to get it together.
He needs a slap! I hear Aba with all the allow the violence stuff but sometimes ppl just need to get slapped! Those who don’t hear must FEEL!!!!!!!! 👋🏿
I'm not usually a huge proponent of the "Toxic Masculinity" arguments but I'm definitely seeing more and more that there are real examples of it and generally it's actually to our own detriment. I think the reason i didn't like the idea was that the ideology was/is too often used to devalue Masculinity as a whole which I think is wrong, and I think the other reason is that the ideology regarding it was/is also too often stretched and contorted to explain many women's issues that weren't necessarily the result of toxic Masculinity.
@@PorchBanditwhile you aren’t wrong, there is still Some serious issues amongst men(of all colors honestly) that NEED to be adressed or we will suffer harder and our sons will soon too.there I balance that can be achieved in keeping our stoicism while taking away habits and certain traditions that haven’t truly benefited us
This is why I love you two, you're not far left off the deep end woke, and you're not far right off the deep end conservative, you're just regular people with common sense! Why is that so rare these days? Especially online and on social media, everyone is so ridiculous and illogical and offensive just to get attention, no wonder politics are a hot mess.
Maybe because they’re immigrants, they had clashes with gangs growing up, and they listen to wisdom where they can, displaying it on a platform that reaches many ages, helping it with humor. And maybe because they’re artists they’ve resisted identifying as conservative, but a lot of what they say is stuff traditionalists have known for a long time (minus stuff relating to sex). Looking at the slavery situation in Qatar, I’m still appalled so many Americans don’t understand how the outside world is, let alone how the human condition works.

I’ve been watching you two for about two years now. Don’t get rid of the creaky floor. It keep your platform real. Kind of says, what y’all doing is from the heart.
In 1 sentence Aba summed up a plague that is endemic in poor Socioeconomic communities “Blackmen have to over compensate for their masculinity and act way tougher than they actually are…!” This in my opinion is pivotal
Part of it is also they are mostly raised by women, so what ends up happening is a severe disconnect from masculinity and failure to see masculinity represented in a healthy fashion. This is why a lot of these alpha male types in the “black manosphere” space reflect a lot of the “overly emotional” behaviors they criticize women for.
@@suzygirl1843 That has nothing to do with that point being made. The point is about how it is between black AMERICAN men amongst each other regardless of who else is around. The over compensating their masculinity always trying to one up the other beyond who they truly are is a problem.
Don’t forget the fatherless rate so a disconnect in true masculinity. To be fair, the poorest communities in the US are white and in the south (specifically KY, WV) and the same thing isn’t seen. Violence is a big factor for the way BM/BB behave as they’re surrounded by it.
I think Aba N Preach need to make a course on how to stay chill in a world where people just want the smoke for no reason. Your patience and humour are legendary.

I like that you’re in the apartment w the squeaky floor. It’s more intimate and original than the whole podcast setup that most ppl have. The sets are like watching a daytime talk show and every channel is the same three setups. I don’t always agree w you guys but I like the different perspective and I love the originality.
"I feel like they only have this type of energy for other black men" is the absolute truth, and add ing black women to that equation shows that you guys are in tuned with what's going on in the black community, because where there's smoke for BM there's fire for BW all over social media. And why is he sitting on there defending that woman as if she can't defend herself? If that girl, with barely any lived experience, has the gall to sit on a podcast aligning with misogynist talking points... she articulate enough to defend her own self.

This was a reply but i want to post this here too. I'm 19 years old atm, pretty young for the audience of this channel but i really like to model myself after aba and preach. Their character is somthing i want to achieve for myself, especially how they handled the whole fresh and fit thing, it was very telling with who is more logical and relaxed and who is emotionally reactive. Hit me hard too because ive had to deal with a lot of anger, vengeance, depression and victimhood. Seeing how fresh and fit reacts especially when i was used to watch their vids. It showed me what is masculine and what isn't. I saw some my character and the way I behave in the way fresh and fit behaves and I did not like it. I knew that if I want to be the masculine man I've always wanted to be have to confront these behaviours. It's difficult and uncomfortable, I'm still dealing with this today but its helped me to learn a lot. It also showed me how to control my aggression. There is levels to this shit and if I'm over aggressive right of the bat how can I ever think logically? How can anyone take me seriously? Just watching their videos I've become a lot more balanced politically too. I've learnt to look at things more objectively and decide for myself rather than pick one side and agree with everything they say just because its my chosen side. I've learnt to do research and shut the fuck up if im not well versed on what im talking about. The way they handle disagreements sometimes looks like they hate eachother for 2 seconds but I realise it's actually not that deep, that's what a healthy disagreement is actually supposed to look like but I've never seen it in that way before. They're male role models for me and watching their vids has helped me learn a lot
