@@RohanDureyI guess they are just fed up with modern conventional super hero movies. I know i am. What i like about the boys, aside from having great characters and plot, is that its almost a meta commentary on modern superhero movies and multi billion corporations such as Disney.
@@moonlightmando7163I agree, while I still love the usual superhero movies, a lot of times it’s disconnected with the reality, Homelander would be an actual Superman, the feds would have got their hands on him and turned him into a sociopath like that for sure That’s a really accurate show
This moment genuinely made me tear up, even tho Homelander is a monster beyond redemption on the inside he's still that same scared little child trapped inside of a lab.
well said bro. We dont need to forgive him to somewhat understand and feel bad for his position. Hes evil. Irredeemably evil but his life story is still super tragic and unfair. Everything he does is a result of his immaturity, complete lack of empathy, trauma, need for validation and narcissism as a consequence of his f**ked up childhood.
You know , I like to think that the real reason he will never redeem himself is not necessarily because there isn't even the slightest trace of good in him , but because he knows that , despite his sick mind , to truly redeem himself he would have to reveal to everyone the true about what he is and what he does and deal with the consenquences , that means everyone hates him and this is something he can't and doesn't want to deal
To some extent, it is true because they are some heroes who due to injustice or any other reason, became villains. However, half of them if not most are villains because they want to commit villainous acts.
I thought homelander is a goofy villain but after this scene, he has become one of my favourite characters 😢 hes damn relatable, even i want someone to understand me and love me, no one does that except my lord, my mom loves me the most in this world but doesn't understand my opinions😢
You lost any sympathy as soon as you mention "the lord" Unless it's Lord Megatron or smt else I have no empathy for you, religion will never love you, "christian love" is only gonna let you down as soon as you disagree because nothing they say will ever be genuine, it's pure narcecism so they can get into heaven, stray from christianity and learn to love without a god then you might find actual people who love and cherish you for for what you are not for what you believe.
That's why they're heros and we're not. They all have bad backstories but instead to choosing to take their anger out on the world, they chose to protect it so that the world doesn't have to experience what they did. They're better. 🗿
@@iconicsolos1234 bro theres so much shit homelander does thats downright despicable in the show . Hes both broken and evil thats what my comment said. Homelander raped Butcher's wife He killed a whole jet's worth of people and before they were killed, homelander proceeded to leave those people there before threatining to kill them. He literally threw somebody about 100 ftin the air in the first ep for i believe robbing someone These are just a few but in what media is Homelander not evil ?
This scene in my head canon, Was John talking to Homelander. But at somepoint during s3, probably here John, the little boy who craved love died and Homelander took over.
Growing up, villains are becoming more relatable. At high school, I met a lot of "friends" and I wanted to fit in their circle of friends. I become the class clown and very active at class and I keep on damaging my dignity in order to get a little amount of attention and an indirect help, I always try to keep talking to them and always started the conversation but they never seems to understand me as I am quite abnormal to them and they don't seem to understand me at all. All I want is a happy and healthy relationship but at what cost? Yeah, nothing. This somehow becomes more relatable as I go through my life, learning that it's either you change until you don't like it anymore or you change the people around you
Love is not obtainable now its made, made for the evil to get what they want moral of the story if you're crazy enough to die in that path meybe you will find true love
It’s really weird how people turn you into the monster they hate, and complain about you being a monster? But that’s how you made me.. well, maybe like, an abused person would show the love that he never had but that’s a whole different story Amazing edit btw❤
Exactly, I just keep wondering why Butcher & the others don’t seem to realize he’s not a evil person, he’s broken. People like Stan Edgar made him into this. All he wanted was to be love by someone, by anyone ☝️🥺♥️
@@selenarodgers5667He was broken beyond redemption though - there was no turning back for Homelander. When your that twisted, the path forward is almost blinding.
Do you blame the nuke or the one who pressed the button? He can't be blamed. They created him and unleashed him into the world. So, everything and everyone he destroys, is on those scientists who stopped thinking.
Great analogy bro, very fitting. The scientist could've treat him with kindness when they were experimenting on him, but they treated him like a lab rat
When he asked himself “So why do you keep running head first into the same brick wall” Whatever you are going through in life, that line hits… especially his reaction after.
