Okamoto is doing a decent job interviewing fighters and I enjoy the answers that the fighters answer , at least he is not a sneaky dude trying to put his nose in everything and I don't get the toxicity or the hate he gets, infact if all the interviewers became Ariel Helwani then this sport's media would be boring to watch
@14:15 this bozo reporter said 4 out of his last 5… he’s won 3 out of his last 5- you unprepared dweeb😂 funny how Dustin agrees & earlier stated “he’s lost 2 in a row”, forgetting he just beat cowboy lol--facts were clearly irrelevant here
One of my favorites. And even tho he’s getting credit now he’s still somehow underrated. His boxing skills don’t get the credit they deserve. Slick slips, great counters, strong jab, dangerous hooks. This dude is a straight beast.
Do people just not care about how amazing his boxing is and how awesome it is to watch because he isn't getting first round KO's or something?!?! I'd rather watch Porier fight or someone with similar style than some flashy KO.
@@sallgoodman2323 first off love the name. My favorite show right now. Second to add to your comment about his striking, we can look back at the finishing combo in the 2nd CM fight. He hit him with a flurry and the last shot was thrown with extra sense ability. He knew conor was going down lol
The thing with dustin is the path he is on and the champion mentality of picking himself up after all the set backs has given him a wisdom that no other fighter has and I have no doubt he will touch gold at the end of the road

@@scottybuckets2365 Amazes me how his biggest "fans" can never spell his name right. It's either "Connor", "Macgregor", "McGreggor" or a combination of two of the three.
Dustin Poirier has matured so much over the years..good to see him have patience Giving a slow boring interview with a dull interviewer and poor production quality despite the big banner. Schmo would've done 20x better job with Helen holding the cam...😪
This is what real confidence looks and sounds like. Not fake bravado. Dustin knows he’s put in the work, he’s been through the fire. Conor may have the skill, but not the will.
@@jakecohen9715 He's been on longer win streaks but I should say he was clearly outsized at welterweight though. Especially against Usman and Covington. You can't deny that. It's a miracle he even managed to win those 3 fights.
Anyone that thinks that he's too nice of a guy, go back and watch his fight with Irish Joe Duffy. No fans, so you could hear everything. When you hear what he was saying, he was like a maniac. It was a rare chance to enter into the mind of a person who's like an animal. The anger that came out was really something. Makes you think he puts on a good front, but maybe what's underneath is truly crazed. He's not going to say it because of his image, but I suspect he's the kind of person who wants to literally kill his opponent.
@@the_ofa I mean like if someone were to ask you what the taste difference is between sugar and aspartame or erythritol. They are both sweet but there aren’t exactly words to describe why they taste different.
This man deserves to be the champ, great fighter, and this guy has never had boring fight, he goes to war every time. And not to mention his philanthropic work. He’s just a good person lol
14:11 ”Conor has lost 4 of his last 5” Maan this narrative is crazy he is 3 and 2 in his last 5 with 3 being wins if you discount mayweather which you should
Dustin is the most entertaining fighter on the planet at this time. Every fight is a bombfest. Conor is a legend and in his prime age to be at his best. I cant decide who to pick. Im just glad this is happening. Amazing fight. Thanks UFC
Dustin is a very good man, he represents America well. The guy really has the heart of Captain America and no doubt he'd jump on a grenade for his own.
Dude you won, you could have the belt and you instead give Mr second chance his fight, you risk everything to get a title you already would have if you wanted to. Respect
I want Conor to win, because I’m not ready to give up on seeing how far Conor can go, and how amazing would it be to see Conor get the belt again? However, if Dustin wins, I really want to see Dustin get the strap finally. Hopefully the winner gets the chance to get that belt.
Because you can get demonetized for the words it’s just how tv works especially on a national level but the actions don’t matter because wit part of the sport and business
For the biggest fight money wise of the year and your right the audio sounds like a courtroom in Bismarck North Dakota. Billion dollar company and its main guy at espn interviews like a sports journalist from the local paper. Unbelievable
When he started talking about taking it to deep waters and testing his will that’s when you know he’s a real warrior. He isn’t looking for an easy win.
@@kartikraj1779 oh shut up. So many comment warriors always say this familiar line to someone's opinion. Its not his job to interview them like its ariel and Brett's.
Actually the other way around, Ariel literally cries that UFC doesn’t even show his tweets in fights, he gets kicked out of FOX and ESPN, his job gets taken by Brett and The Schmo took his silly interviews, so in actuality Ariel got EVERYTHING taken from him 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Khabib was great, but not the GOAT. The greatest not only dominate, but continue to dominate. Khabib would barely fight once a year. Now he’s retired. Greatest while he was doing it. But that wasn’t very long. I’d
@@bay6899 Ariel was the first guy to cover Conor, he gave Conor a lot of attention before anyone else. Therefore Conor and Ariel always have had a good friendship.
Dude i freakin wstched that video of dustin smoking and inexperienced sparring partner and then gloating over the knocked out dude. Couldn’t believe what i was watching cause yah the diamond always seemed like one of mma’s goodguys
Love Dustin, but there was a piece on Bleacher Report where he was kind of talkingshit on Conner, which I thought was out of left field because he's really not like that
Obviously. He has to sell the fans on why he took the pay day against Conor instead of the tougher fight in Oliviera. If he trashes Conor on a personal or professional level, it makes him look like a hypocrite for accepting the second fight.
"Real genuine guy" really ?? Knocking a new young amature fighter, shouting at him "and new" and also demanding 500k from conor as conor had some debt lol ... yeaa really shows his character but not a good
Knocking a new young amature fighter, shouting at him "and new" and also demanding 500k from conor as conor had some debt lol ... really shows how he is when there are no cameras around ... fake dustin soyboi porier ...
