Did not need a smashing. Needed 3 points, which we got. We keep improving year after year since Arteta has taken over. It’s not a matter of if anymore but when. I’m loving this team. I’m living that everybody is signing contracts to stay. Timber will be great for us next year. There’s a lot to be excited about yet some Arsenal fans still say Arteta out. That, I’m sick of. That Villa game was always a big concern for me, because it came between the two Bayern games and after the CITY game, plus it was the highest placed team left to play, Villa are 4th for a reason and CL brings a new and additional pressure that this team isn't used to, which showed not only in that 2-legged tie, but that terrible 2nd half Villa performance. Losing at home to WHU hurt us, but which ever way you slicey/dicey it, losing 5 games when trying to pip this CITY to the title, is a big-big ask.

Facts 💯. Had Arsenal went for the jugular at Etihad when City were a liability in defence and seemed to concede every time they faced a shot was an inferior complex to park the bus 🚌 . Arsenal could afford to lose or draw against Villa. Drawing that game at Etihad left them with no margin for error in the remaining fixtures. And in the Prem that was suicidal, with the amount games left.

OK, let's do some quick math. In order for Arsenal to win the league, we need mancity to draw or lose regardless of GD. So if Arsenal win their remaining 2 games, even 1 nil each. That moves our GD 4+ City. If it comes down to GD, it means City draw 1. .meaning they have to close 4+ GD in one game to tie things up. And that's presuming Arsenal only win 1 nil at utd and Everton. Personally, I think we will win both games by 2 goals. So it's not really as significant as you think.

Must win and the dream for Spurs will be to get a draw against City and then we loose on GD, those two goals against us making the difference. City could easily get 7,8 or 9 past West Ham if they needed to. Xmas lost it for us, though we might not of had our run and AV doing the double. So let's hope Tottenham beat City we win tomorrow and WH put up some sort of defence against City. (and we beat Everton).

Im Utd fan , and i want Arsenal to win the league because i don't want City to break another one of our records by winning 4 on the trot. You are much better than us , we have had a dreadful season, but we have 3 or 4 individuals who can do something out of nothing. We are a chaotic team who play in 10 minute spells , you should win because we are terrible at the back , but if you go 1-0 down having to get 2 the pressure will be on , if you go 1-0 up it could be an easy day though.

As a City fan can say Arsenal will win the title in next 3 yrs for sure, probably not now, cuz City found the rhythm.If City won the league now...beat Liverpool in last fixture and United now probably Arsenal crazyy. Cheers

As a spurs fan, if we lose against city assna fans will be like, small club mentality letting city win but then if we win you would call us spursy for winning you the league so I'd rather go for the latter because either way you wouldn't let us have peace so ange should just rest son, madison, VDV and others and let academy players have fun

Fair point - but they lost to Brighton and home and away to olympiacos - first half should have been 3-0 up but Villa deserved in second half and that is where league lost.

You guys who wanted Arteta out a year ago shd be aware that any team challenging City shd be lauded as City pay twice as much in wages than any other club & have 2 world class players for every position. Arsenal don't. The mass media also never criticise Guardiola - even if City pay over the odds for players or waste money on Kalvin Phillips or when they lose games - so Arteta is under much more pressure. No neutral fan wd want Monopoly City to win the title again. Arsenal didn't lose the title race v Villa. Were many games that City got favourable refereeing decisions & players like Chris Wood squandered easy chances v City.
