Truth be told the Bible doesn't teach that false doctrine. The fact of the matter is that God chooses us we don't choose him therefore study the scripture to have a proper understanding of God's word. And furthermore unless you obey God's word in Acts 2:38 you're not a true Christian you're not even in the body of Christ.
