Will go down as the most deceptive & opportunist player in Ghana football. Before joining Hearts he was a defender at Dwarfs, was @ the 1996 Olympics although one of the original players selected for the Meteors, was relegated to the bench during the Olympics. How the Kotoko Infested media succeeded in creating the impression he was a hot commodity on the local scene is the greatest fraud perpetrated on Ghana football. It was Coach Midendorp who described the likes of Edmund Copson, Ishmael Addo, Joe Ansah, Charles Taylor etc as generals in their own right the next moment, the anti hearts media took off the s and bestowed the general on Kuffour who was not part of the players Midendorp describes as such as he Midendorp was referring to players who were members of the squad during MAY 9, but had left Hearts when he was contracted to coach Hearts in 2004. Before Kuffour joined Hearts, Hearts was the destination any player will dream of going because the team was an all attacking team. Because Kuffour was older than the core of the players who were firing on all cylinders, he rode on the back of age to impose himself on the boys but so far as I am concerned he wasn't that an extra ordinary player as he sought to create. Even as he forced himself to play up front in Hearts, when he goes into the Blackstars does he play upfront? It is also not true he was being chased by Kotoko before he joined Hearts. They just used that thing to deceive Hearts to go for him and get him into the Hearts first 11.
