Once again, Thank u OGS for giving me this platform to share, and giving me this opportunity to be able to bless and touch those who watch this video. It is indeed an honour and a humbling experience! 😊🙏
Hi James, seeing your video here. God have already touched your heart and forgiven your sins. Will keep your wife and you in my prayers. May Almighty Lord our God bless your wife and you in this recovery journey. Amen.
Watching while comenting..hmm...Tim...Tim...Tim...i dont see u as a bad person..U ARE BETTER THAN BEFORE! Come on brother..i as an outsider felt proud of u..of the changes uve made for urself..maybe if i am in ur position, i would not be able to be strong to change..but u did till this day..congratulations..remember, good things always last long..and when u die, make the people who still live that know u remembers u of ur good brother..🌈👍🏻🎉🐳
I'm very touched by James' story, it takes courage to recognise your impact on your family and even more to distance yourself. I hope he has the support he needs and hopefully one day reconnect with his family.
I wish I was a drug addict and have a sob story so people like you can cheer for me in the comments and give meaning to my life instead of living as a law-abiding nobody. :)
There's usually no such thing as bad people, only bad mistakes. I hope all the participants are able to forgive themselves and give themselves a second chance at a fruitful life. Wen Qi, am so sorry for your loss ❤ praying for easier days ahead for you.
I met Timothy about 10 years ago. We worked together in a bar in a quiet Tanglin shopping center; he was the head bartender while I was in training. Tim struck me as a quite knowledgeable barman with many skills in mixologist so I was eager to learn from him during those times. However, after many interactions and working together with him that I realized that Tim had had a very rough childhood, and back then he was not an easy person to work with, due to his temper and perhaps damage from all those year under the influence of drugs made him the way he is. We lost contact for a long time, and now it surprises me to see Tim again on this RU-vid channel. And to learn that he went to prison again during this past 10 was somehow regretful. However, it looks like he is doing alright now. All the best to you Tim.
Leave it to OGS to show us another touching story that makes me weep. And best thing is these are all true stories, from real humans living real lives.
Like this content, those pictures really moved me. Saddened me because my late uncle was a drug user from he was a teenager up until his 40s when he passed away. He loves us, his nephews and nieces. The only time we saw him its when he was out of rehab or prison. Yup, he did wrong doesn't mean he is a bad person. Miss him...
😮🙏 We hated how much hellish sufferings being endured through the being slaves & addicted to these demonic psychotic drugs & devil's brew intoxications to these addicts & their families ... Thank You So Much OGS channel for sharing their life stories so as to educate others to practice humility , respect , understanding , gratefulness , appreciation , be contented , forgiveness & to have healthier lifestyles in our lives so as to make good use of our given previous transient & temporal human life before our unions face their eventual dissolutions ... 🙏🕯🌏✌💜🕊
Thanks for sharing your stories. They made me tear up and I think there’s such a beauty in the fight to change and show up for yourself and your family. Also, I used to watch the prez star challenge with my sister, didn’t realise they support halfway houses too!
Thank you OGS, for bringing these men's stories to us. Very well crafted interviews and definitely a brilliant idea and heart-warming gesture to create those portraits. To Wen Qi, deepest condolences and stay strong.
All 3 gentlemen are decent and whole. Wrong decisions were made it seems because of insecurity... and you have all gone through hell to be here with us now. Thank you for sharing your stories. For what it’s worth, I’ll remember your stories and wish all of you the very best. You are enough, you deserve our respect.
This was such a compelling watch and I loved the mix formats of tea talks and can ask meh, felt so candid and it made the ex offenders feel more personable too. Hope they’ll be happy to watch this video and that the documentation of the (very nice!!) photos will remind them of growth and all. Also big hugs to Wenqi ❣️🥺
Thank you OGS Tea Talks for doing this. Awesome job as usual ❤️ Adel, it was a star-struck moment meeting you 😅 Men whom I respect and care for. James, Tim and Jadon, you'll never walk alone.
Thanks for this video. It was a touching one indeed and hope more people will be forgiving and less judgmental toward ex-offenders and grace them a second chance.
There stories really do makes me feel that my problems are nothing infront of them. I can't imagine myself in there shoes. It help me to see life from different perspective! Thanks!
Can I suggest that you guys do one on ex-offenders who went on to study after their release? From Prison School to taking up their diplomas and degrees with Yellow Ribbon or Singapore After-Care Association (SACA) education support program? Will be an interesting documentary to see how they adapt, work, and study.
Thank you for sharing your story! There is always a chance for reconciliation as long as you are alive . One day I hope u have the courage to face your family and children ❤❤❤❤
I lived all my life as a law abiding citizen and never got into trouble. Yet here I am a nobody looking at prisoners who have people in the comments section cheering for them. I feel I have wasted my life being a nobody. Look at Hitler. He committed so many atrocities and people will remember and discuss about him forever, while the common soldier in WW2 who fought against him will never be remembered and only die as a nobody. :)
Thanks everyone for your support and encouraging messages :) We shot this video at HCSA Highpoint Halfway House, which is one of the benefitting organisations of the President’s Challenge. They provide a safe and substance-free place for homeless newly released male ex-offenders and those in recovery from addiction, to restart their lives. If you’d like to support other former offenders who might be on a similar journey, do consider making a donation to the President's Star Charity via mediacorp.sg/psc2022
This is such a great and meaningful content. I just wished Tim had an episode of his own. He seems forthcoming and eloquent. Really listening to his story. I pray that they move on to greater things in life and be able to give back to society in their own way.
All of these men are so lovely ❤️ I feel hurt and sorry thay whatever happened to them had to happen to them to make them a more beautiful version of themselves. The Indian uncle particularly (missed his name) comes across as such a genuine and gentle soul 💜
Very insightful session. Love hearing people from all walks of life sharing their stories. Does anyone know in Singapore if they hold these kind of talks/events publicly? Will like to listen to them one day
