My son turned me on to Mac a couple of years ago. It's absolutely heartbreaking to think of where he would be now. 😭 But, I think he wants us to, yeah, give him his respect but not get too caught up in his death and miss the message, ya know? Glad to see you take this dive. Keep going. Mac always felt like a little brother, he was a few years younger and all of my friends who looked up to me were heavy into his music. It wasn’t my style at first, but I grew to appreciate the way he was growing and learning to express himself. Losing him was something I didn’t know would hit so hard. What a beautiful soul. I go back to that record every so often (even after listening to it over 1000 times) and still catch some possible different meanings. The artist that Mac evolved into towards the back 1/2 of his career was honestly incredible to witness. The utter growth, vulnerable, introspective was beautiful and with that Mac developed truly his own style, sound, and energy. Truly 1 of 1, and for someone like yourself that utterly loves music, I highly recommend diving into his catalogue my guy. It will exceed all your expectations and you won’t regreat it

Mac miller is one of my favorite hip hop artists out of all time and the different eras. Probably the only rapper whose death i truly felt in my soul man. It still catches me hearing his voice cause of the unbelievable potebtial as a musical act that we missed out on. I been linding feeling it recently in my life and this song is kinda getting to me thanks so much knox for finally taking the time to get to mac man i wish youd go through more of his collection. Him and kid cudi are the two artists that have made going through anxiety and depression possible to live with.

Mac Miller was so different from every rapper out there but his genuine love for music is what made him special. He cared about the world and people in general. When he passed it really broke my heart and my own perception on getting through depression and getting out of our own way, especially when he was right there but couldnt push through. Its so difficult when you’re in your own head 24/7, and Mac Miller knew how to make you feel like you’re not alone. Im sorry to hear about your grandfather, he lives through you and the rest of your family forever.

I was just _starting_ to get into him when he passed away. I had already sort of dropped out of Hip Hop by that time, but I noticed Mac Miller was bringing something fresh and authentic into the scene which really resonated with me. He was a very interesting character… and it's like his story had _just begun_ to unfold before his untimely death. But hey, he'll go down through history forever in the Bible of Hip-Hop… not just anybody can claim a spot like that. But he did, and he deserves it. He's just one of those cats. There can never be another Mac Miller.
