POLO, just an idea 🤔💡💭... Have you ever thought about doing reactions from songs that had a huge influence on you growing up and even up until you started this YT Channel?? Some of your 300k+ Subs can be introduced to a song that otherwise they NEVER would have heard or known about. Kind of like watching you start your journey with *TOOL!!!* 😏😎
@@ILikeDonuts666funny you mention portnoy as they brought him on to replace the rev and he couldn’t fill the shoes left for him by jimmy so they let him go.
For those here complaining about the song being metal. Metal is a genre that has saved my life and countless others. It’s given birth to some of the greatest musicians of all time, and many amazing songs bands have come from it. It’s a genre with some of the best fanbases in all of entertainment. You don’t have to understand metal to appreciate what it is, or what it has done for others.
@@JoeandAngieChrist isn’t real… how is a fictional character created by man gonna save someone’s life? I guess the people of Gaza and Ukraine need to find Jesus 😂
I heard System of a Down meets dream theatre and said, “yes, totally!” out loud to an empty room except for my cat, who stared at me and Yawned because it could care less.
It's been a while since I've heard Bat Country. It was my first trip down the Avenged rabbit hole. I don't regret it even though I've moved on. I appreciate your willingness to try all genres.
@@Bloodtoxx yes sirr, thank you, been listening to A7x since i was a kid, they also bring the used to the show, but i only know 1 song from them, maybe I should learn more about them idk
The song appeared in these video games… Madden NFL 06 (2005) NHL 06 (2005) SSX on Tour (2005) Saints Row 2 (2008) Rock Band 2 (DLC) (2009) Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock (2010) Rocksmith 2014 (2014) Tap Tap Reloaded (2023) In the movie: Big Mom's House 2 (2006)
I can’t believe I forgot how amazing that drum stuff is. Lol. Click track flick that I don’t know whatever that shits fast.😂 also, this is the soundtrack to the movie about Hunter S Thompson.❤
A lot of their songs are on guitar hero. They have songs in CoD as well (mostly zombies): BO1: Not Ready To Die - Made for the game Nightmare - Not made for the game BO2: Shepherd of Fire - Not made for the game Carry On - Made for the game BO3: Jade Helm (Instrumental) - Made for the game Shepherd of Fire (Zombie Chronicles: Origins) Nightmare (Zombie Chronicles: Moon) BO4: Mad Hatter - Made for the game Treyarch loves A7X so much they actually made M. Shadows (lead singer) a character skin in BO4 My top recs for them are: Not Ready To Die I won't see you tonight part 1&2 Save Me Almost Easy Acid Rain Roman Sky Lost it all Nobody
If anyone dosent know this song is based off the 1998 movie "fear and loathing in LAS VEGA. in this move there is a part where the attorney and his defendant was driving through the desert triping on acid shrooms you name it and while they were driving in the night a bunch of bats are coming from everywhere surrounding all around. Its a crazy movie but its good!!! Hence the song called batcountry
Metal is expression, anger, frustration, infinite creativity. This song evokes rage, releases pent up emotions, unlike anything i have ever heard! Love the chorus as well, the drums, etc. Badass discovery all around!
Honestly, the band featured on like, Tony Hawk's American Wasteland, NFS Most Wanted, Guitar Hero, Rock Band, SSX3, not gonna google which 1 this track was, but that's where your nostalgia is coming from
Omg! I did not have you reacting to A7X on my bingo card and I’m SO EXCITED!!!! Seize the Day is a song my sister and I would sing to each other when she would leave for army assignments. Give that one a listen if you give them another whirl. Soooo many good songs.
you should definitely do more reactions on this band, they have made 8 albums and most of them sound different from each other, for next reaction i suggest Critical Acclaim (live in LBC) (it's so good that it's better than studio version)
“Critical acclaim - Live in LBC” - there’s a full upscaled version of the concert on RU-vid, with timestamps in the description! Would love to see your reaction to it!
Avenged and Slipknot are my guys!! (Corey Taylor is my profile pic!🤟🏼) Thanks for giving it a shot! Some of Matt’s vocals on other A7X songs are CRAZY!!! Also, NEW SUB! Not sure why RU-vid hasn’t recommended before!!
Check out Buried Alive, Nightmare, Critical Acclaim, Beast and the Harlot, A Little Piece of Heaven, Shepherd of Fire, Hail to the King, Fiction, The Stage, So Far Away! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Late story! But I got into A7X because I remember faintly my Dad playing this song at one point. I believe we were in his truck too. :) It's a little fuzzy and I can't remember how old I was (some time younger then 15 since my Dad passed away at 15), but yeah!
Thanks Polo for you being you. Been here since about 30/40k subs. I can't buy you a coffee right now as many are trying to tread water with this Building Back Better. But.....If you haven't, try some Incubus. A buddy turned me on to them about 12 years ago, I was going through a divorce, custody battle, bla bla. Nice to see 304k like, love, and respect you and your work.❤
Possibly my favorite band of all time (except for the latest album……please don’t hate, A7X diehards). Some other options: Critical Acclaim live in the LBC The Stage Buried Alive (my favorite)
The song appeared in the video games Madden 06, NHL 06, SSX On Tour, Saints Row 2, Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, and Rocksmith 2014. It also appeared in the movie Big Momma's House 2 and both the TV shows Bones and About a Boy.
RIP Rev, a true talent gone far too soon. Love A7X and hope to journey along with Polo as he enters yet another rabbit hole of amazing (and often under appreciated) art!
Anyone else remember when this song had a grip hold on the #1 spot on TRL. Pretty sure they even made an appearance on the show which was an extremely big deal for "metal/hard rock" bands back then.
Avenged sevenfold made music for Call of Duty Zombies specifically. In the Black Ops series. Look up “Not Ready to Die” by them and you’ll recognize it immediately if you’ve played zombies. Edit: also “Shepherd of fire” also in B02 zombies and one of my favorites from them.
Love Avenged Sevenfold! Mostly the older “Rev-era” ones. They did a song remembering the Rev after he passed, called “So Far Away” which is quite emotional. One of my favorites by this band is “Afterlife”. It isn’t too heavy for those who dislike metal. Most metalheads do not consider Avenged Sevenfold to be metal at all, as a matter of fact.
This is A7X’s love letter to Hunter S. Thompson. If you watch the first 10 min of the movie Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and then watch the video for Bat Country, you’ll understand a little better. “We can’t stop here, this is BAT COUNTRY.” Actually, you should probably watch the entire movie. Johnny Depp’s portrayal of HST is fantastic and yes… it’s a true story.
Cain and Abel, "where is thou brother God asked Cain, knowing full well that Cain had murdered him because God didn't accept his sacrifice. He became enraged and slew his brother. The beginning of sorrow upon the earth, because their parents had disobeyed him. "One day ye shall surely die".
If you said that Avenged Sevenfold was the best band ever, I would fight you 😅 That being said, they ARE my favourite band of all time. Also, if you don't like this song, there's likely at least one song that you will like lol
This was 100% on Madden 2006 and NHL 2006. Those songs, whether I liked them or not, are seared into my brain from playing those games for hundreds of hours. That said, A7X is awesome and you should definitely do more. My next recommendation would be Critical Acclaim (live in the LBC). I'm sure people will say to do A Little Piece of Heaven, which is an amazing song, but the video provides some shock value that people like to see reactors experience. I would say to save A Little Piece of Heaven until you get a few more under your belt from them. Great reaction, man!
