As i see your a fellow passionate bruce lee fan, you gained a subscriber. I was hooked on bruce 36 years ago when i was 9. (Im 45) and everyth8ng changed. I was obsessed. Im still able to tell the exact move from any of the 5 films based on hearing one short sound sample.

Hi Stripey! enjoying you're passion for Bruce! were in it for the long haul "a lifetime!!"😂 I am hoping that Warner's may bring out Enter the Dragon in 4k this year! laugh is I still haven't got a 4k tv yet!! Enter my favourite Always! Apparently the older films produce the Best quality when transfered to 4k so Basically be excited! I'm hoping there maybe a cleaned up version of Ahna Capri's 8mm film's a remastering! as that was Special and a long awaited for lovely treat for us True fans All the Best lovely collection Kind Regards.
Cheers Roy, Who knows what's being planned for Enter the Dragon's 50th, hopefully something special. I like the idea of Ahna Capri's 8mm film being re mastered, that would be amazing indeed. You get a 2K on the Greatest Hits boxset but a true 4K would be amazing. I guess we'll have to wait & see. Thank's Roy
i did what you did , i collected everything bruce , i had original enter the dragon cinema poster and fist of fury , the k f monthly full set plus books, LPs, etc, way back in eighties i was moving house wife was moaning about my collection so give my collection to a neighbour , now i look back i cry , as you say they a worth a fortune , as i keep reminding my wife , yes we are still together after 41 married , so was it worth it ?
Hey, Thomas. It is what it is, my friend. I sometimes think, If i'd have kept it all the Bruce Lee stuff over the years, the collection would be amazing, but I didn't. I have a tiny Bruce collection now, but I can rebuild (if I wanted to). I will get bits and pieces from time to time. (looking forward to the Arrow set in July) But I enjoy watching Bruce collectors, here on RU-vid, Charles Damiano, Hector Martinez, Dave Love & others. Congratulations on 41 years married mate, It was worth it.
Ah thanks, Steve, I really appreciate it, mate. I wasn't sure about the jigsaw but it is kinda cool & I loved putting it together. I do miss the Bruce Lee Movies group (and now I forget birthdays lol) but I have no interest in setting up another, to be honest. Faceache did nothing to help me & I was on the platform for 17 years & I lost a ton of memories. I love Bruce, mate, and have done since my youth. it was a shame but I couldn't do it to myself again. When we were kids we all wanted a physique like bruce lee , slim but with solid muscle and a natural look that is obtainable by basic high intensity exercises . Now all the kids want to look like the huge anabolic steroid abusing hollywood stars . Tbh hollywood has a lot to answer for . . Everyone was making nunchuks out of broom handles and practising their best bruce lee howls in the mirror lol them were the days. Thank you stripey rambles
Hello, I like all your reviews on Bruce Lee & his films. Just watched your clip of the 'Way Of The Dragon' editing. I wonder what you thought about the scene in Enter The Dragon where Bruce appears to leap backwards up onto a tree limb. How come it's never been discussed why it looks like the scene was shot with Bruce jumping down from the tree, then it was played in reverse.
9:54 Man, I remember those huge box sets when I first started collecting DVDs. Always wanted one but they were really expensive. I know Warner put out a bunch of different ones, I know there's one for Matrix and Blade Runner and I think there's one for Gone With the Wind, but I can't remember if they made any of the Kubrick ones. They still impress now, you just don't get that kind of presentation on physical media, at least not from major studios.

Love your vids , specialy the one ARROW 4K box wich a have BUT. Must wait till Christmasss and i must buy a 4K player. I’m a old skool SONY guy but the SONY 4K players are not that good i read everywhere. I have also 4 German Blu-ray’s with retro covers comes from the real Super 8 of the ‘70s. Do you have see the quality of the German versions ? Big Boss is the best picture 5/5 Fist Of Fury 4/5 Way of the Dragon 3/5 Game of Death 3/5. But also great covers without age sticker on the front (reversable cover first edition) but the German DVD’s and Blu-ray’s have sometimes an issieu , they wont play (UNIVERSUM) brand logo

@@StripeyR hi, no i was thinking of the old school covers like you were showing @ 6:15 - i have them on my old VHS collection, but have never found them in dvd or blu ray - Did they only sell these in the UK ? i'm old school, i want those Bruce Lee movies with those covers, nothing like the ones we grew up with :)
