@17:55 The reason why you won’t be able to get that surveillance footage is because it’s treated as an open-active case since it recently happen. The detective will hand over the footage once the case is closed. Since they obtained it from the restaurant they will most likely have in the police record system. You will have to submit a “Public Records Request” even if you were the victim of the incident to acquire that footage. Don’t forget and make sure to be on top of that.

Wouldn’t ever expect this happening to you but the fact that it did is shocking. Glad you all are okay as it could’ve been worse, but still I give you props for handling it maturely especially right after it happened. I definitely understand the hyper-awareness feeling dude, I had PTSD for a while and felt the same for like two years. It’s def exhausting so give yourself grace. If it doesn’t go away for a while consider going to a therapist, they can really help with processing stuff like this!

What a Traumatizing event ): Last day I was staying in NY, I was heading back to the airport with my suitcase & when i got out of the subway station random person just came up to my face and started pushing me against the wall and kicked my suitcase. The second that happened I thought to myself, I need to get away from her.. so I went up the stairs to avoid her. She followed me again and SMACK!! She smacked me in the head and knocked my AirPods out of my ears. I was on the ground. Thankfully some random hungover guy ran over and helped me out and that chic just ran away. After the incident I was definitely not okay for quite a long time, I thought i wouldn’t be able to return back to NY. But a couple of months later after learning that the world isn’t a safe place, defn more aware of my surroundings. I’m glad to hear that both of you guys are safe…❤

it’s actually very great that viv can cry it out bc the trauma won’t get stuck in her subconscious mind that bad. and if it makes you angry and upset that’s totally fine, it’s better to process it right away so it won’t affect you that much in the future mentally. the reason why men in bigender society are more likely to have an unsolved trauma deeply affecting them and their actions towards others as well is bc they restrain themselves from processing it in the moment like crying or being basically upset and self-aware about the hurt. so yeah glad that you, viv and your brother have each other in that situation at least even though it’s horrible you three had to share it. communicate and support each other and you’ll leave the traumatic situation way faster 👍

hey eric hope you guys are doing well now, similar thing happened to me while i was in chinatown but the man had grabbed me in the neck for some reason, me and 2 friends were walking down the street near the street venders area and a man came up on the side looked at us and started saying stuff like "you guys are making fun of me huh" (you could tell it was a crackhead" and the man proceeded to grab me by the neck (keep in mind i was 16 at the time) so i full understand how you guys feel, i was more so shocked than scared but it was truly a scary experience. be safe out there eric!
