I was Buddhist, then I saw a Lady in Blue Light: How Mary Led Me to Jesus 

Mary came to me when I was 4 yrs old and hit by a car. I had an out of body experience. She was right by my side. My parents were not Catholic. About a year later I saw an old black and white move of st Bernadette. When Mary appeared on screen I literally started screaming. That was the woman that came to me. It started my journey to be Catholic.

Mary is mother to all of us. “Behold thy Mother”

The Blessed Virgin Mary is: - the “woman” of Genesis 3:15 & Rev. 12. - the nemesis of Satan (Genesis 3:15) - the mother of God (Luke 1:43) - the spiritual mother of all (John 19:26-27) - the new “type” of Ark (Rev. 11:19-12:2) - the Queen of Heaven and Earth (Rev. 12:1-2) - FULL OF GRACE (Luke 1:28) - whose soul magnifies the Lord (Luke 1:46) - the Almighty has done great things to (Luke 1:49.

I love your story. I can relate in many ways. Out Lady drew me to Jesus just as she did for you, and Apostolic Succession brought me to the Catholic Church (I researched history after a Baptist friend of mine made fun of Catholics). At first, I thought all Christians Sects were the same, but truly they are not. Jesus only instituted the Catholic Church as the vessel for our salvation.

We must pray unceasingly for all those who still do not know Jesus and the true faith as Our Lady requested us at Fatima. God doesn’t want to lose one soul; therefore, I pray daily for poor sinners. God is good all the time. He wants everyone to be with Him in Heaven our true home. I live in the world, but not of the world. Jesus, I Trust In You! Mary, I take refuge in you! Our blessed mother brought me out of Buddhism to her Son. My family was new age.

Mary appeared to me. I felt immense peace.

Beautiful story. I also need to become Catholic and long for confession, it is very clear to me now. Unfortunately I live in a country where I hardly speak the language so the local equivalent of rcia is not available to me. But at least Fatima is only a 4 hr drive from here. I will go there next week and pray about it. I just might have to move back to my home country (The Netherlands, which is quite possibly the most secularized country on the planet right now)

I have a similar experience. Still, I think that buddhism has been an important part of a jurney that God put me before me to get through Him. I still thank the teachigs and the teachers that put me on my way to compassion, and peace that I had lost. The very sad thing that Protestants do not get, is that Mary is a path to get to HIM, not to her! Maybe they feel they can get directly to God, but for a lot of people, Mary is the one who made it to show us how to "come home" to God. I respect our Christians brothers, but it is so sad to see that someone thinks to be entitled to decide on this Earth who is lost and who is saved. Only God can see this
