ENCARNACION, PARAGUAY -
Just a 5 minute train ride away from Argentina, Encarnacion is a city in Paraguay which is famous for its incredibly cheap clothing. Tons of people from Argentina and Brazil travel there to go shopping. Even though I didn't need to buy too many things, I decided it would be cool to check out Paraguay for the first time and learn a bit about the culture and life there.

The price went up because of the inflation in argentina, 1usd is 500 pesos, and 2 chipas for that price is reasonable, here in asuncion you get one chipa for 10mil guaranies, or like 900 pesos

The guarani is one of the most stable currencies in south america and the one that has lived the longest, 1 usd is approximately 6900 guaranies or 7000

Yeah, the accent is a bit different than most of SA. Additionally, most will mix Guarani in with Spanish. The Peso is declining badly against the ₲. I was blown away to see you were less than a block from my home. The Plaza de Armas is my favorite spot in the city.

Do you plan to come to asuncion? i can give you some advice for places you should know here and other good places in the interior of the country, there are places like paraguari, villa rica, the german colonies, the chaco, san bernardino, ciudad del este, the jesuitic ruins and more

I am from Miami and married a Paraguayan, so that's how i ended up traveling to Paraguay . We divorced, but i still continue to go there and hook up with her brother in Asuncion.

I can't be sure, but if you were paying in Arg$ pesos, the prices can easily vary from 400 to 500 in a day ... After all, even Argentines don't want Arg$ pesos😂 As for Chipas, Pão de quejo, Bunuelos, whatever... Is a dough made from manioc/cassava flour + the local cheese. It's universal street/cafe food pretty much everywhere in hot Latin America... Better than empanadas 😊

1. Because we buy clothes whose function is to dress. We do not buy clothes to: a) Solve our inferiority complex, thinking that expensive clothes give you more value as a person than cheap clothes. b) Arouse the envy of others to feel more important. 2. Because we have our own thoughts, and we have no need to follow fashions imposed by others. 3. Because we are practical, and we believe in the equality of people, knowing that a Chanel jacket fulfills the same function as a jacket that your grandmother sewed for you. 4. Because in our country taxes are low. 5. Because the Chinese make a lot of clothes with cheap labor, and the middlemen are not as thieves as in other countries.
