Do these these guys consistently and the Tool army will show up and reciprocate. The musicians are for real, the vocalist is a poet, and every song is a new experience. 😎
Your boy Paul got you headed in the right direction with this band. Legend level musicianship great lyrics and unpredictable. They are a total one off, once in a lifetime band. With Tool you need to come with an open mind and let them take you on the journey that each song takes you on. I'm a fan of this band for 30 years now and I'm still discovering things in their songs I listen to countless times.
The band records the instrumental part of the song. The singer listens to it, gets a feel for it and writes the lyrics accordingly. It’s part of the reason it all goes together so we’ll. Plus they’re all top notch musicians.
I really enjoyed your reaction! Hopefully you continue the Tool journey - I'll be watching if you do. My personal favorites: 1. Vicarious 2. Right in Two 3. Pneuma I'm really leaving out some amazing songs, but they really are all great! They say in the Tool army to "spiral out" (a reference to lyrics of the song "lateralus") .... Tool lyrics force you to look at yourself and the world around, to make some uncomfortable decisions, but always to understand more and more. A spiral never ends, nor does our desire to learn and understand. Keep Going!!!
YT algorhytm didnt find more? Could as well write down the entire 7 tracks you can find reactions to on YT, as if the rest of Tool music sucks or someshit.
I have so many memories that still give me goose bumps, memories of landing from shrooms with friends as you come back indoors after adventures outside, and just put on The Pot while a buddy rolled one for the team, while I popped an expensive bottle of wine for the same.
Honestly, that was one of the most enjoyable reactions to this song that I've seen! I'm so jealous of you getting to hear the legendary Tool for the 1st time. Enjoy the journey my brother, spiral out 🤘🤘
There are things you have to do and there are things you're going to do when listening to Tool. You have to listen to the studio version. You have to have the lyrics in front of you. You're going to shit your pants. Your third eye will be opened. You will spiral out. You will go crazy trying to figure out the lyrics. You will Google what the lyrics mean and be even more amazed. You will listen to more Tool. You will think every new Tool song is your new favorite Tool song.
And, you will get addicted to watching other people fall in the rabbit hole over every single song. Keep doing these and watch what happens to your subscriber numbers. They don't call it an army for nothing.
So fun to see people enjoy this fav of mine. A couple of my fav songs to add to your list: The Grudge, Lateralus, and Fear Inoculum. Go on the TOOL journey and spiral out!
This is not normal rock. These dudes are the truth! Every musician in this band is stellar and their time signature switch ups are the shit. These guys are so fucking creative and talented it’s not even funny. ✌️
Tool’s music sounds like no other band. Four musicians who mastered their craft.Great reaction! More tool pls! Also completely agree with your friend. Don’t watch the music videos. Just audio pls and thanks
and another Tool fan was born welcome. You're friend did you right. This is one of the best songs to ease into Tool for the first time with. It's the easiest to follow. Experience Tool Live. It's insane! There isn't a bad Tool song.
I absolutely love seeing TOOL newbies fall down the rabbit hole. Seriously masters of their craft, TOOL is literally an experience; every album, every song. I smile during this whole video, thanks!
Great reaction !! The fact you have some music training means you’ll appreciate the complexity of Tool. Their music is very progressive , and their lyrics are deep and meaningful. Always lyric videos if you can. There’s one live performance that you really should check out ... Danny Carey “Pneuma” live drum cam. Danny is considered by many to be the best drummer ever.
Tell Paul he changed your life...cuz he has and you don't even know it yet. You're the youngest tuber I've seen do a first reaction to Tool. You get it. I'm 61 and can't get enough of these. Tool has saved my ass more than once spiritually. It crosses generations and brings anyone who listens closer together. Your energy is fantastic. Keep listening ❤
Welcome. You have now been exposed to the infectious nature of TOOL. You are now part of our family and you will follow your manager's list and join us. Haha. Fun reaction man. For real, stick with these studio tracks and pull up lyrics and you will go on a sweet ride of introspection and growth. Love it!
Schism is more technical and less aggressive but still a masterpiece, , 46 & 2 is even more a ripping banger than this one, and AEnima is angry yet beautiful at the same time, all brilliant tunes
This whole album is a fucking MASTERPIECE! I am FINALLY going to see them Oct. 11th, bucket list shit! Nice reaction, I have watched a lot of TOOL reactions, and for whatever reason yours is among my favorites. Keep it up!
Tool enhances your mind in ways that no other musical act can. They are the perfect vehicle to accompany you on this crazy ride we call life. May they continue to make music for as long as possible.
TOOL concerts might surprise you. A transparent veil around the band that they project images onto... incredible lights shooting across the arena. And of course the band sounds amazing. But a lot of us TOOL fans are a bit old for mosh pits. :)
TOOL is just incredible. For those people that are not fans, don’t get upset that they are just flat out smarter than us. Timing sequence, lyrical content, percussion at it’s finest. One of the greatest rock bands ever, and still WAAAAY under appreciated
They are coming to a city near you. Whatever it costs you need to go. Best show I’ve ever been to.four of the best at their craft meshing together! It’s truly amazing how spoiled we are with this band…
Welcome to the rabbit hole of Tool. It brought me great joy to see your reaction. No matter how many times I've heard this, I'm vibing right along with your first time.
I saw a reaction video to Tool recently from a classical composer. He was very impressed with the talent and technique involved and said something like, "I don't think anyone else sounds like Tool because nobody else can." I can't say he's wrong. They are that unique.
I love watching someone else experiencing Tool for the first time! Like I’m hearing it again for the first time myself! Tool is about as unique AF as a band gets. Genius’s
Here we go down the Tool rabbit hole! You will remember this moment when your manager introduced you to Tool. Every song is a masterpiece so strap it ….it’s a beautiful ride!
Tool is an experience. Whats best about your videos, to us that are familiar with tool, is to see your reaction yet we know the best parts are coming and cannot wait to see your response. Tool is a band almost in their own genre.
I loved your reaction to a new band... And one as extremely talented as Tool. However, one song your friend failed to mention was Lateralus. That song will break your brain and rebuild it anew. Also the Live Drum cam of Pneuma will blow your mind at how darn good their drummer is. Live large!
Tool are some of the best musicians in the world. When listening to them you really just need to empty your mind and let the flow of the songs just take you away. Many of the lyrics are complex and deep. You'll find yourself googling the meaning of their songs trying to understand what the hell was going on. Also, the time signatures that Danny Carey plays on the drums are very unusual. When you're a new listener to their music it's hard to keep the rhythm but you eventually get used to it and it will feel natural. At some point you need to check out the drum cam live version of Danny Carey playing "Pneuma" on youtube. The guy is 60 years old and you'll be amazed watching him play. It's a surreal experience!
Loved seeing you enjoy this so much! Check out The Grudge after the other songs on your list. Maybe then you’ll be ready to listen to Lateralus. Greatest band in the world. Enjoy the ride!
The energy and natural reaction you feel is from true musicians, creating a new expression of the art of music. Can't capture this with buttons on a mixing board.
TOOL is on your right now! If they are coming near you, this is a must see live show! Going to see them in October for the 4th time! I will always go to their concerts anytime they come to my state!
Tool was mainly known as an Industrial group back in the early 90's. I recommend checking out bands The Prodigy, Nitzer Ebb, Lords of Acid and Front 242 to name a few. Industrial is almost like a metal dance music.
Tool is band that I truly believe make art. Music isn’t a strong enough word for the experience. They really are masters of their craft! You are in for some amazement on the TOOL journey friend.
I truly enjoyed watching your reaction. It has been a tough day and watching this changed my mood and brought a smile to my face, I hope you continue your personal journey into Tool as I have the past 30 years of my life. They are very deep with their lyrics and their music takes quite a bit of time to create as they are definitely more artists than just musicians as it has taken them 33 years to produce 5 full length albums and 1 EP - think Quality over Quantity. I've seen them 25 times in concert and will see them twice more in November. You should expect to hear from the Tool Army with plenty of requests and feedback. By album, here are my favorite tracks and, in addition to agreeing with your co-worker to avoid music videos, I will add a suggestion to avoid live performances until after experiencing the song by itself first. 1. Jerk Off, Opiate album 2. Swamp Song - Undertow Album 3. 46 & 2 - Aenima album 4. Lateralus - Lateralus album 5. Right in Two - 10,000 Days album 6. Invincible - Fear Inoculum
Awesome watching you’re reactions. Tool is the shit. Very complex and everyone is a master at their craft. There isn’t another band like them, best in the world
Tool was the largest, most energetic yet peaceful pit I've ever been in. 10ft from the stage swirling, dare i say spiraling out to 200 plus and back again.
This song is a masterclass in turn of phrase and hard punching imagery. "Weeping shades of cozened indigo, got lemon juice up in your eye?" Indigo is an artificial color, and lemon juice to force tears in court has to be my favorite bit.
Rock concerts are THEEEEEEE BEST !!!!!! Tool is touring rn 🤘🏼. Seen them 3 times and perfect circle once. Awesome freaking shows. I love me some rap but rock is my first love ❤️
I never tire of watching someone hear. TOOL for the first time. The Pot is a great entry song. You really can't miss Lateralus though. Probably one of the best outros ever. Or Vicarious or Invincible or Right I Two. So many great songs unlike all the others. Play it, and they will come.
I dont know where you are at...but Tool is touring...im in NY and theyre coming to Rochester in november. A Tool concert is an epic experience. Looking forward to your journey!
Yess!! My favorite band! Can't wait to see them in October. Looking forward to more Tool reactions. You have a good starting list there from your friend. 😊
Don't go to just some rock concert... GO TO TOOL'S CONCERT!!! You won't regret it. My friend introduced me Tool via this song and the next day we bought tickets. The show immediatelly went to my TOP 3 live concerts that I've EVER been to! And I've been to many rock/metal shows.... Tool is just amazing band! I've seen them twice live so far and I will to their next show too for sure!
