I got to the part where you get an aerodactyl and I was like, wait, wait wait, I'm one step away from my meltan research part where I need to catch an aerodactyl so I need to get myself the damn marowak preevo I need to catch before I can catch that aerodactyl. Now I need to go to some nest tomorrow and get that so I can catch that aerodactyl 😂

I love that the steps of this research are not only themed around the Kanto gym leaders, but also reference the entire journey through the gen 1 games: Clefairy for Mount Moon, Snorlax, Gastly for Pokémon Tower... Really a nice touch!

The first day went pretty well, managed to get through over half of it in an hour or so...part of which involved burning my daily raid pass on a Darkrai for the research task then immediately leaving the lobby (trust me, nobody else was going to join). 😂 I got a 98% Hitmonchan and 96% Raichu among the rewards too, can’t complain. It made me smile when I realized each stage gives you the final Pokemon of each Kanto gym leader, just a neat little pattern. 🙂

I have gotten two shinies from this event. A random shiny geodude and a shellder after 409 checks. This event has been pretty good so far.

yes!!! you got shiny illumise!!! that was a risky play crashing your stack but clearly it paid off! also i think lickitung has increased spawns this event and probably comparable shiny rates to rare ones like lapras, got it as a house shiny this morning

I only got a shiny Volbeat, but I was excited because that I have no idea when I'll ever get to that region to catch it in the wild. And, I also Go Plused a shiny Meowth last week, my first one!

Wow, great acting. At 14:41 you check the weekly task for a shock to see a shiny when you had to have known since it stacked the wild encounter and didn’t load when claiming a weekly challenge.

the only shiny i got from this weeks event was a shiny abra (after abra comm day), hatched a shiny eevee and caught a shiny squirtle. very disappointed especially when i went hard chasing venonat

Done the research on my main and back up accounts, the main got a hundo arcanine. The back up was all garbage and both accounts had random shiny abra pop up, like i need any more after com day!

I’m excited for Sinnoh week because of Cresselia. I’m yet to get a shiny Cresselia so having another chance is super exciting (plus it’s my favourite Pokémon). Kanto week is my least favourite just because as a Pokémon fan I’m really tired of Kanto. We get Kanto shoved down our throat all the time and it’s kinda bleh

Wow omg congrats on shiny illumise!! I’m still looking for that (in USA)! For this event, I’m super excited about shiny venonat and venomoth also, and shiny charmander in particular so I can evolve it to finally hopefully get a shiny charizard for the first time!!
