I was NOT expecting this to happen! This tent has a GARAGE! and my Harley Davidson actually FIT!! In this video I setup up both of my new Motocamping tents from Lone Rider! Each tent is distinctly different from the other and packed full of opportunity! The ADV Tent was beautifully packed, small, and incredibly spacious once set up. This tent will work perfectly for Scrambler camping trips. The Moto Tent was HUGE!! I was shocked at how much space I had inside he garage and cabin of this tent specifically. She's big and heavy, but I KNOW the Dyna will carry her around like a champ. I hope you enjoyed my initial thoughts and setup of these two motorcycle camping tents. You can find both of them linked below.

Being able to stand up inside is a must for me. Plus I like the extra space when staying in one place for a few days. (Plenty of room for food prep when windy/rainy) The Adv tent would be great if your on the move every day though.

I recommend tilting the bike to the opposite side of the living room. If the ground under the sidestand softens, the motorcycle will not fall on you while you sleep.

Thanks Jess for sharing about this tent. I have been contemplating buying the lone rider tent for a while. I have a 2 person Nallo Hilleberg tent that I have to get down on my hands and knees to get into it and at almost 70 years of age it is getting a little bit much for me. I already have bought a Suzuki DRZ400S because my Honda NC700X is to heavy for me to lift up if I drop it. Bad back and knees just don't like doing all of that crawling and lifting stuff.

I have not seen a sissy bar in a long, long time. 1971 I had a chopped BSA in burnt orange, ape hanger handlebars, highway pegs, and about a 3.5 foot sissy bar shaped like a devils tail. Freaking wow. Thanks for the memories.

If you and your husband split up the big tent into smaller bags then the size issue is solved. I do this with my big Eureka tent when I hike with the kids and it works well. You carry the pole bag, footprint, and rain fly and the other carries the tent and accessories. Anyway those look well made and the zippers are very smooth. Great video!

With the doors either side makes it a better view. I like I’m tall and I can walk without crawling helps. Looks like only two wheels but that’s great! Love some camping but I my wife likes hotels or RV’s. The big tent as the small isn’t for us as older riders.

I use the opposition tent to the Lone rider tent, the garage is definitely a bonus, the only suggestion I would make is when parking the bike on the side stand, always put something under the side stand foot so that it doesn’t sink into the ground and ALWAYS lean your bike away from the sleeping vestibule.... great video ...

I wish I would have seen your video three days ago. I just ordered my ripstop fabric to make a smaller Campfire/Baker tent for my motorcycle camping. I raised my children canoe camping in a canvas campfire tent I made in Montana. This smaller lighter tent will be for my Lady and I. I've used a solo tent and my LUXE tarp for years. This garage tent is a four season tent that I seriously considered. It would fit in my drag sled for Xcountry ski trips or snow shoeing. Cold camping with my son would be comfortable even with the tall ceiling. Thank You for showing both tents. Their quality is evident. I look forward to seeing you in October for Forgotten Angels camp out. Maybe with the larger tent? Do take care, You're in my prayers. Hoka Hey

I never got used to sleeping on the ground/floor - almost your age, it never went away, no matter how much I tried. To me, it's called "cramping". In Europe some commercial camp grounds rent out large ready-set-up tents with beds, subdivisions, cooking, etc. and it's occasionally called "glamping". People go there to have a holiday from their kids, with their kids.

I've had a garage tent for some years now and (apart from being able to fully stand up to get my leathers on), the most useful part is where with the help of some extra poles the garage doors can be lifted up to provide awnings. Sitting in the open protected from the rain or baking sun is the best thing ever after a day's ride. Take down the inner and I've had 6 people comfortably sat in there of an evening. And once another riders tent broke and with a borrowed groundsheet, 4 of us slept in there with more than plenty of room to spare

The caution signal is actually to use the bag on vertical as a hazard cone if you breakdown on the road. And the accordion way is much faster and easier way to set it up. I can set up mine in 5 minutes easily.

I would definitely keep a piece of wood under the kickstands of the motorcycles if you must lean the motorcycles towards the sleeping quarters. Enjoy the authenticity you bring. As for the tents, I'm more in the minimalist camp with an MSR Hubba Bubba 2 person. It weighs about 3 lbs and packs smaller than a loaf of bread. Light and waterproof were the determining factors. Durable...well it is light lol. I used a piece of 6mm poly for a ground sheet to protect the tents floor. No problems over the last several years from Baja to Labrador to the Negev.

After last years rain storm I am loving that big tent. Just to be able to sit outside during a rain is awesome

I love my Lone Rider tent, have the first model and still use it a lot, on my bike and also with my family on car trips.

Nice! Getting excited for moto camping as well. Too bad you didn't include video of tear down of both tents to get the overall start to end. Putting it all away in a bag can sometimes prove difficult. As for setup time, ease of use and portability, I think the first is ideally best. Having a garage is nice but when weather elements play a factor and you're tired, you don't want setup being difficult or time consuming. I would skip the garage version, just my two cents...easy to bring a separate m/c cover.

Two issues are 1) cost at 605$ out of stock in US until April. 2) At 7 feet 11 inch garage will not fit my 2018 electra glide ultra classic at 8 feet 5 inches. BUT if you're bike fits I would buy it in a heartbeat. I tent with a cot (better on my back) and am looking for just this setup.

I saw these online a while back, nice to see how they look in “real life”. A bit pricey but quality always is

Check out Redverz solo and Atacama tents. Made by REDVERZ in Colorado. I have both, but primarily use the solo. The tents are very similar to the bigger tent you demo’d. A couple of tips/safety items. Always park the bike with it leaning away from the sleeping area. Also, always set the small sleep door into the wind and stake it down first , then once the poles are in, pull back an up on the garage to erect the tent. Enjoy.

Both look great but I really like the garage one for longer term camping even with the extra weight, great job!
