I have always liked the idea of a trolley that is remote or the ones that follow you around, exactly for the reasons you have said here at the start of your video Dan. Bad back, and easier to carry my camera and tripod etc whilst not worrying about about carrying a bag or push a trolley.

Dan, you should try some weep holes in the retaining walls, Talk to the builders, even though the walls are not that high it will help remove underground water in the event of heavy rain or even flooding. Just in case you have not drained the area

Hope you provided some drainage behind that retaining wall. Quite important so the base of the wall isn't always wet like it appears to be 😮

Always wondered why you never used a trolley. The umbrella holder on trolley bags are made for the camera tripod 😉

Down again to visit my in-laws in 2 weeks, and we'll be playing at Torquay with one of his Saturday roll up pals, as we always do. Fancy giving Churston a go as well as we've never played it, it looks in good shape and it'll be nice to finally play it after seeing so much of it on the channel. Another great SMS.

I enjoy a scramble but im a big fan of alternate shot matches. Dont see just 2 people do them generally for obvious reasons but i think it could be a fun video to see the pair against the course and may help produce more pressure shots etc or descend into chaos, either way may make a good video 😁

Any format except the random club game. Watching you hit a wedge off the tee and a driver 60 yards from the green gets very old very quickly. Playing with a half set or 4 clubs could be interesting. You still have to manufacture shots but at least you are using a fairly appropriate club for each shot.

I'm not sure why you would apologise for not using Pxg irons. As you said, the fitting process isn't always ideal, and most other RU-vidrs would revert back to their gamers. I think a set of Ping Blueprint S irons would be ideal for you. Look at what it's done for Peter Finch's game.

Do 6 holes match play, 6 stableford and 6 stroke play. It varies the round and competition a bit - u could even do a tour winner overall by recording all the 6 hole wins 🏆

I'd love to see more footage off course while traveling. The pubs, the restaurants, the people and all of Lester's shenanigans.

Ireland sounds great. Please no dice games 🙈. Suggest a breaking par and a match play 👍. Club fittings are great to see and doesn't matter if not used👌 You always go back to the trusty blades any way. Maybe👍 Final suggestion is a Japan Golf trip. Very cheap to travel there at mo and an amazing different golf culture experience. Maybe with Joe the pro, would get lots of views. 😊

Did you consider popping back for a tune up ? But it’s golf. It’s your golf. And it’s not an exact science. Good luck in Ireland. Do a better ball type thing with Bernie to break a course record.

Looking forward to the Ireland vlogs. Straightforward match play is always the best format. LIV has turned me against anything different. They're playing 20 minutes from my house and I'm not going. I think it's because I'm old but I want things as they were.

I have an MGI remote trolley with gyroscope, for redirection if it bumps off course in the rough, and GPS built into the top display. It's brilliant.

I'd love to see you both playing foresomes. Test of friendship every time 🤣🤣🤣 I went to Titleist Ely and was very disappointed. I've been to ping twice and loved every minute. Now have a full bag of ping. ❤❤

Hi Dan. Love the Sunday morning show and miss it when it does not arrive at 7am. Always enjoy match play. I would love you to do a session on how you arrive at your carry numbers - I think it is a brilliant idea but I struggle with taking indoor numbers out onto the golf course, dealing with the variation between winter and summer, how well I am striking the ball etc.

I was one who totally supported the idea of getting fitted by as many as 6 or 7 manufacturers, and then playing them each for a couple of weeks, with a final verdict at the end of the year. Only thing with mulch is you’ll be replacing it every year as it degrades. Make sure the local cats don’t hide any presents in it too, hard to see till it’s too late! 😷 Pizza oven and barbecue for the back corner with a raised chipping tee for practicing short pitches to the lower level gets my vote. In relation to videos keep the games coming, alternate shot, switch clubs, call each others club, use a random club selector app, the dice game you’ve done previously etc. These are the things that will grow the game for newcomers which could potentially help the channel grow opening up how the audience are targeted by the algorithm?

I'm no building expert but noting that your new retaining wall between the terrace levels is wet in parts I wondered if drainage channels were made in the retaining wall? Once you put additional weight onto the upper terrace i.e. tons of gravel, there will be some considerable additional force applied to the wall. Looking forward to your vlogs from the Atlantic Coast of Ireland where there are some terrific links amongst the towering dunes.

Fitting videos are great imho. I think it's a great opportunity to see how the process should work and what clubs and shaft options are and how they can make a difference. You don't need to take a set away with you! I just wanted to say to counter balance the criticism, that I like them. Perhaps do a series on them but not up front that it's about showcasing the process and not necessarily about getting you a new set of sticks

Just wondering, which courses are you playing in the North West of Ireland?

the penny a yard game was quite good DH because if you are playing bad you can still get back in it if you win a par 5, believe you did it at gillies home track.

I’d like to see you caddy for each other and tell each other what shots to hit. Rather than making your own mind up. I remember you did it for Bernie previously but it would be good to see both of you at it.

Great video Dan. So comments, 1. Not sure removing trees will help dry out the green as they soak up water but aesthetically very nice 2. Shoes look good, I have some normal trainers and they are very comfy. 3. Love to see the steam train. 4. Have a look at druids golf clothing. Great gear, great prices. 5. What could be interesting is going to all of these hq's for a fitting and decide which head/shaft combos you like from each and then work with a non brand affiliated fitter with each to see which one really is the best fit for you and your game

The channel seems to have changed a lot, info ads and club stuff, when are you getting back to the course vlogs because thats what youre good at, in my opinion, regards

I was fitted for the first time early last year. Got irons and a driver which unfortunately are no longer in my bag! Ultimately you have to use what feels good on the course week in week out and from my experience fittings don't 100% guarantee that.

Dan I watched a video about an electric trolley I believe it’s a UK company, Stewart I think, they make a unit that has a follow feature which is hands free it follows the remote automatically. Maybe get them to loan you one to review. Also there was another company that made one that had a gyroscope that once you put it in forward on a line it self corrected continuously to stay on that line, which both sound more like what you need because you and us need your back healthy. Also you’ve talked about not having time to practice and I see many golf RU-vidrs that say the same thing and when they review certain game improvement clubs they hit very good consistent shots and then they chuckle and say “maybe I should play these clubs all time “ but they go back to their blades. How about finding the best for you based on results game improvement irons and actually playing with them for a number of vlogs and then do a honest assessment about if they made it easier to play better than you have recently. I’ve watched you for a long time and remember years ago you played very well and as you got busier and less time and comps the game fell off some. I would love for someone like you to play those irons without any ego, and I think you’re the only one on RU-vid that has enough character to do it.

Good morning Dan, good Morning show as always. I too have a bad back and so acquired a battery powered trolley about a year ago. I will never go back to carrying clubs again, it is just so enjoyable to walk 18 and let the trolley lug the clubs. You will quickly get used to operating the trolley, trust me. Have a wonderful time in Ireland, I have played there multiple times while visiting family in the Belfast area. Wonderful courses in Ireland 👍. Just make sure you have rain gear in your bag. With regard to writing carry distance on your clubs, bear in mind that the actual performance will vary not just with wind, but with temperature too. Looking forward to seeing your Ireland videos.

Given your an excellent right hand on top putter...I know you did series with Bernie on cack handed chipping but is there some merit for us very right hand dominate to use that putting technique on the chip and runs?

I think the Sunday morning show should be a staple part of the channel as it’s something different to other creators with a chance to be more relaxed.. as for the trip, I think you should build on the what questions to ask in a pro shop, on arrival.. where’s the first tee and what’s the course record then you and Bernie try to beat it scramble fashion.. then with Alex you could go the stable ford chair where you only score when you’re in the chair and the other two play better ball to know you off with the best score then taking control of the chair.. good one for gambling.. 💥💥💥

Don’t give up on your remote operated trolley…..once you become more accustomed to it…..you will love it! I’ve had one for 2 seasons and won’t walk without it!🇨🇦👍

Hey Dan, the best formats for you and Bernie are when you don't do stroke play nor breaking a score, but when you mix it up with multiple formats.

Match play or scramble are always good. I think the message on fittings is good to manage some people’s expectations. They are important but not a magic wand. Would be interesting to see a follow up to see what after care is available. Would definitely like to see other manufacturers too

Would have like to see you use the PXG irons you were fitted for if you didn’t have to pay for them . If you are up front and say they are on loan and are using them for a short period of time to do a full review would have been a nice follow up to the fitting .
