DB Cooper was a real person who, well, did exactly what Loki did. Including jumping out of the plane with a load of cash and disappearing.

I think the reason he couldn’t just teleport anytime he wanted was because he didn’t have the tesseract which contains the space stone. Once he picked it up it allowed him to teleport.

The fact that Loki's little life review extended all the way till the ship went BOOM means that he was still alive when Thor was hugging him and crying and he felt his brother's love and sadness in his dying hours and it HURTS ME.

When Loki was watching his file it ends with Thor hugging him meaning that the last thing Loki felt was his brother holding on to him and not Thanes snapping his neck. It’s really sad when you think about it

Fun fact Alex, Loki wasn't supposed to be in more than a couple of movies, but the fanbase loved him so much that he's been a staple character in multiple since then, even allowing this series to exist at all! The thing I LOVED about this series was it’s aesthetic. The music, cinematography, atmosphere… everything was just so beautifully retro futuristic.

The Actress who playes "Lady Loki" was still breast feeding her child during this. Instead of doing what Hollywood used to do, meaning "you are not getting out of that custome until we are done, sucks to be your child !", they designed the outfit in a way that she could bear her breast in a really short time to feed her child.

Actually, there's some confusion about Loki's last name. Usually, the son takes the father's name as part of his own last name. Thor is the son of Odin, so is called Thor Odinsson. Loki's last name is confused because Marvel has muddied the waters. In one sense, he's Odin's adopted son, so might be Loki Odinsson... but he wasn't BORN to Odin, so might take his real father's name. However, Marvel messed up, and said his father is Laufey (which would make him Loki Laufeyson), when in fact Laufey was his MOTHER. His father is called Farbauti, so he should really be called Loki Farbautisson. Given that in Marvel they said his father's name is Laufey, it would be correct, but ONLY in Marvel, to call him Loki Laufeyson.

One of my favorite BTS tidbits from this show is the design for Sylvie's costume. I'm not sure when, but before filming started, the actress who plays Sylvie had a baby, so the costume designer made her costume in a way that made it easier for her to nurse when needed. There's a picture of it somewhere.

My family has a black lab named Loki, and we're being punished for naming him that. He's deviously smart when he wants to be, but he's also ridiculously stupid, and he's the biggest coward I've ever met. He's scared of my aunt's dog, who is literally two pounds of fluff, and he'll do anything for food. He's a pretty boy, but there's not a lot going on upstairs, except for thoughts of his next meal 😂

You need to see Loki season 2. The best the MCU has been in a while.

Your question at the start about Loki’s teleporting. The tesseract houses the space stone, which allows you to teleport anywhere in space. Loki doesn’t naturally have that ability.

He couldn’t disappear the whole time he was captured. He needed the tesseract (space infinity stone) to traverse space in that way to escape.

I absolutely appreciate how fast you're going through the MCU, unlike some reactors who really try to stretch the time between MCU entries. ♥️

The LARPing scene on Ep. 2, the woman who says "some of us need this", I'm pretty sure was supposed to be Agatha, at a festival in the 80s. Like a little cameo.

I love how Loki's idea was compleatly contradicting his past words to Thor "Lets steal the biggest, most obvious ship in the universe and escape in that, its brilliant thor, BRILLIANT"

Loki was my favorite show from disney/marvel to this date. It's fun, chaotic, it has heart and all the theorizing was sooo satisfying to do while the show was streaming.

The power didn't/doesn't go away, it's the matter that no one survived to change any events. It's kind of like movies that do the "and no one survived" type stories that ignore the fact that the story was either made up from whole cloth, or someone did survive long enough to pass along the story.

When Loki was watching his death, the last thing was being held by Thor on the ground. So he died in his brothers arms instead of in Thanos’ hands. Nice little touch.

Alex, Loki couldn't just disappear he doesn't have that kind of power, it's the Teseract that he picked up that then was able to transport him because it's one of the infinity stones fyi. Love your channel and reactions and watch religiously :)!

I LOVED Loki and the last 3 episodes get even better. Owen Wilson and Tom Hiddleston are wonderful together and it's really something to see Loki genuinely grow and become more redemptive, just brilliant stuff. This show also sets up a lot of REALLY REALLY important things for the foreseeable future. As you know, phases 1-3 are called "the infinity saga" because they all deal w/ the stones and Thanos. Well, phases 4-6 are called "The multiverse saga" and this series is critical to that. Make sure to rest your gooch, episodes 4-6 get pretty wild Cheers

It's easy to forget that this was a Loki from before the redemption arcs he got in the movies after the first Avengers.

Those weren't nukes dropping from the sky on Lamentis-5, those were fragments of the shattered moon falling toward the planet.

Fun (?) little detail: when the compilation of Loki’s life ends it says “end of file” but you can rearrange file so that the line reads “end of LIFE.” In the Thor movies it’s established that Thor, Loki and the Asgardians aren’t actually gods. In the first Thor Odin says something like “we’re not gods. We live, we breath, we die. Just as they (humans) do.” And in Avengers Loki says to Thor “the humans think us immortal, shall we test that?” So for all intents and purposes Loki even tho he’s known as the “god of mischief” in the MCU he’s not actually a god. He’s an alien that just so happens to have an extremely long lifespan That “oner” at the end of episode 3 was solid! No where near the level of Daredevil’s true oners but still pretty good

Loki is up there with Falcon and The Winter Soldier for me as my favorites (depends on the kind of day I’m having for which is #1). It is so different than anything we have seen in the MCU and we finally got the Loki screen time that we had been wanting!! Quickly want to note that the Loki we are following is Loki from 2012. At the beginning he still believed that thanos was on his side (thanos loaned him the army to invade earth and also gave him the staff which allowed him to control minds) and hadn’t yet gone through all of the character development that the Loki in Infinity War had. While they did a great job covering much of that development in episode one (please see realizing he indirectly killed his mom and that trusting thanos lead to his death sort of) he still was a little ways to go and it is a fascinating show to watch. Loki on the plane. This is a huge nod to one of the most unsolved cases ever which is the case of D.B Cooper. Guys gets on a plane. Hands the flight attendant a note (yes he also tells her to read the note because he has a bomb) parachutes out of the plane and he, along with the money he had (stolen I believe? I can’t remember the details of how or why he had the money) was never found. The show was like nah had to be Loki doing Loki things because nothing else makes sense. Fun fact! When Tony is figuring out time travel in Endgame he asks The computer to form the module into a Mobius strip. Mobius being the name of Owen Wilson’s character. Sort of time related by name. Yes this is the girl version of Loki. She is a mix of two characters from the comics. Lady Loki and the enchantress. I don’t believe that the enchantress was a Loki variant in the comics but she may have been taught by Loki? (Don’t @ me my comic knowledge comes from people who have actually read the comics 😂). So is everyone at the TVA being a variant a big deal? 100% yes. It means that someone is lying. At this point in the show we don’t know who or why and any details really but we know that there is a big lie being told to someone. That is all for this first half of the show!! The amount of brainpower this show requires I think really ramps up in the last three episodes and I have found that after letting it simmer for awhile it’s a bit easier to untangle.

Looking forward to this as a follow-up to Falcon and winter soldier. Also, save Hawkeye for an Xmas reaction. Fits the theme of the holiday season!

DB Cooper who loki was pretending to be on the plane was something that was an actual real life case although no one knew who he was or where he went.

I laughed so hard when you said the thing about the cat named Loki, because that's my cat's name. And he for sure is a deceitful little trouble maker.

Was so looking forward to you doing this series once I caught up on your reactions and saw you started to do the shows. You're fun to watch and it's incredible to rewatch the MCU like it's my first time through you.

Even tho I loved it, I'm a bit surprised by how much of a power buff Loki got in this series tbh. Admittedly, it's not the first time we've seen him use those powers in the MCU, but he definitely seems more powerful now: - he used telekinesis in Thor: The Dark World after learning of Frigga's death - he looked in Valkyrie's mind in Thor: Ragnorak to see Hela killing her sisters/ the other Valkyries. I'm surprised we don't see Loki use those power more often tho tbh, especially telekinesis 27:38.

some people say this show is boring . maybe they are right. There are characters who sit and talk to each other all the time. Even in the final episode, three people are sitting and talking. but man, I love every single scene of it. For example, it is very enjoyable to watch Loki and mobius sit and discuss about religions and beliefs or Sylvie and Loki's interpretation of love. I hope the loki team does not take such comments into account and the second season will not be full of similar action scenes.

I god damn love Hiddleston and Wilson's chemistry in this show. It is work of art.

So him watching the highlights of his later MCU stuff was super important because this Loki was the evil Loki from the first Avengers so he did not have all of that character development, so force-feeding him all of that was the show's quickest way of getting this Loki to the approximate maturity of the dead Loki in Infinity War.

Why didn't Loki just disappear the whole time while he was captured? Because he didn't have the tesseract. As soon as he had it he was able to shift to another location. Loki has been my favorite Marvel Disney+ show so far. When I heard they were making a series, my first thought was, "Wouldn't it be cool if they started right at that scene where he disappears in Avengers:Endgame?" and so you can imagine my delight when they did exactly that! The emotional and personal journey Loki goes through in this show is one of my favorite parts of it. And, I don't know how or when they're going to do it, but the reunion between Loki and Thor is a given and it will be incredible. By the way, for those who are too young to get it, the joke at 10:32 is that Loki was "D.B. Cooper", the famed hijacker who is the only one to this day that successfully* robbed and escaped an airplane. [* The jury is still out on whether he actually could have lived. He was never captured.]

Thanos is actually a Eternal. Only thing higher powered are Celestials. One such Celestial you have already seen in the MCU is Ego (Peters/Starlords) dad. Eternals on the other hand, you will see soon enough since I believe its one of the movies coming up for you to watch.
