Hot dam, the Prosecutor did the legal equivalent of a Mortal Kombat Fatality! The witness defense Attorney told the idiot defendant to NOT bring him as a witness because attorney/client would be gone and he did it anyway! It's like a defendant that goes Pro Se and thinks they can beat the case because the Miranda Statement wasn't read to them. They are smarter then the cops, prosecutor, judge, etc.,in their own minds, and think their ideas are right. The prosecutor had no objections because the defendant is doing a fine job convicting himself! This video should be shown to law students as a great example of why pro se is terrible for defendants ignorant of criminal law.

I definitely have a lot of respect for Mr. Wilkerson's professionalism. He clearly advised his now former client to the ramifications of calling him to testify. This was the ONLY way Mr. Wilkerson would be forced to tell the court that his client admitted his guilt on some very serious charges. This is one reason why I couldn't be a lawyer. It would eat me up inside having to defend a person who literally told me he was guilty of the (very serious) charges he is accused of committing. I get the impression Mr. Wilkerson isn't just a competent attorney, he's an outstanding one given he got this guy an acquittal in at least one trial that he was almost certainly guilty of.

My Dad told me they had died and so he had buried them. I saw 4 small bags in the freezer a week or so later. I thought my Dad had killed my rabbits and put them in the freezer! At dinner one night, I asked him “So, my rabbits died from the cold and you buried them?” And he said “yes, Honey”. Then I got up whipped open the freezer door and said “So, what is in these bags?”! If your client confesses to you as an attorney, you cannot allow him to testify otherwise as it would be suborning perjury.

This poor lawyer had to deal with this guy constantly calling and arguing with him while he was defending him. He should be done dealing with this. He shouldn’t have to deal with him sick too. This clown shouldn’t have AXED the lawyer to do this!

For those curious, Article 39.14 provides that represented defendants are entitled to review discovery documents but are not entitled to copies of them. It also prohibits those who receive discovery documents (including lawyers) from giving copies to anyone else.
