Moonlight Magic is a free event for Disney Vacation Club members at Disney California Adventure. Brickey was invited to be a guest at the 2024 party, and let's say... it was a shocking night at DCA.
@@HeyBrickey We watched it from the guests-only balcony of the Grand Californian. Maybe not the "best" seat, but it was a great show from that vantage point.
Brickey, I am a new DVC member, and this was my first Midnight Magic event as well. For what it is worth, when I got my tickets, I was able to have a party of up to 10. Also, I did receive a free parking pass. The only issue was the food, but that was only during the double loaded park from 6-9pm. Lesson learned from that. The theming to me was the empty park. A really terrific perk. This evening plus the Tomorrowland lounge and the area coming to DCA and great perks. Really enjoying your videos, especially the Disneyland Forward series.
...WAIT, what? ..Why haven't I heard of this?? ...OMG, It doesn't look like anyone is walking around in this video, I need more info! ...I'm so glad he's bringing this to our attention, an actual after hours event that might be worth it, I'm about to get off this page and go see if i CAN.. .. .....AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!! 😖😭😭😤
Underarm ice cream 🍦😂 Thanks for the breakdown and the exclusive view. I'm stoked that you got to go and best yet, hang out with 1313 buds in an empty park. 🎉
Hey Brickey! It was nice seeing you at the event, we are DVC member and this was our first Moonlight magic event, we surely love it just the meet and greets alone were great for us, thanks for the video.
I grew up in Southern California back in the 70's & 80'S, and my mom worked in a grocery store and was part of a union. And often times they would have special nights just for certain union groups and while the events weren't to long, maybe 3-4 hours(tickets were cheap as well)? Everything was a walk on, you could ride Space Mountain, run back around and get on it again, it was crazy. So even though it was a short night, it didn't matter, as you could ride everything within a few hours anyways. But that was back when it was just Disneyland, no DCA, no special themed nights at all, at least none I knew of back then. It was just an entirely different ran company at the time. So it's amazing to see a night like this that so closely resembles the special nights I got as a kid.
I did Epcots last week. No theme, half the World Showcase shut down. But we had the vouchers, free ice cream and no crowds!! Test Track and Rattitoule walk ons! Lowest wait times ever. Good deal
I think that is what we all want no matter what it is. True honest opinion, good bad, or indifferent. No matter the topic, success, or failure, everyone will defer to their own opinions regardless. In a side note, how weird was it being that alone in the park not having security or CM's hiding behind a shot as you make your way out the park when it closes.
As a DVC owner- those owners who complain about this event? So entitled. Like you said- its free. I would have loved to have beat the lottery and gotten the opportunity to go and just enjoy the vibe if an empty park. TY Brickey!
Thanks for covering this. Most of the Moonlight Magic videos are from WDW. This looked like a great night. I would assume with 2 West Coast DVC now these will be more often. Keep up the good work !
The characters were on point! So many of them and great footage. Also the low wait times. 🎉 Umm…Grumpy had his eye on you - you were on thin ice w/him! 😂 @Disney- it would be appropriate to have a night like this for Magic Key holders -it would go a long way in regaining good will.
A chill night as DCA seems like a perfect Brickey! night. I'd be down for that sort of thing as well. You don't need to apologize for loving on Disney. I'd like to think your subscribers and viewers generally love themselves some Disney, the good and when appropriate, also the not so good.
When some as technical and... well, ok, picky as you has a positive review, I have to believe it. Good stuff. Like, I'll never get to go to something like this (but then again, I was never going to go to the Galactic Starcruiser), but hey, that sounds so very, very cool.
Great sum up Brickey....I know I had a blast and it was great seeing you in them Hollywood streets....sadness did hit me with the AP night throwback events of the before times reference....im greatful for my Dislyfe fam member that allowed me to be present for such a great event. The theme for me was the present of being present. Keep at the great creations Brickey, we appreciate you and your craft.
We were there! It was great seeing ya Brickey! Hehe that was us saying Hi when you were shooting Little Mermaid during One World of Color 👋🏽 We loved the event
I know this was an informational video of the event, but you took some really beautiful shots! You could definitely make a vibes video out of it. And I can’t believe all of the characters that were there! So cool!
Disney has done so many wonderful special events that have made people’s experiences their so Magical and even if someone doesn’t like the event at hand there are always a huge number of people that like it, like for instance the DVC event that you attended which I believe from what you showed and talked about was an event to be blessed to have and be able to do things that you don’t do everyday at the park aka DCA and if you truly do think about it this is Disney’s way of giving back to those who truly do appreciate the park aka DCA and embrace what the park is all about, so I am so happy that you shared this event with us and what it’s truly is all about and I’m so glad you had the experience of attending this event and it was nice to see how much you appreciated it thanks again for this Magical moment, now with that peace ☮️ love ❤️ and happiness to you Brickey and I’ll see you on the next vlog adventure wherever it takes you peace ☮️ out ✌️
We had a great time as DVC members of almost 16 years and lifetime SoCal locals!😊 It was nice to hear Your perspective on this event! The only perk I really miss as a member was the FREE screening of their upcoming movies shown at the now GONE Downtown AMC theater!😕 Only seems available for WDW reservations (we don'tgo too often) ! 😢 I remember watching the 1st Guardians movie thinking don't know what it was about but it's free. It turned out to be my favorite movie of that year!!!😊 Also, yes we have spent & keep on spending money for DVC plus Annual passes So something kinda FREE is always needed!😂 Thanks for sharing & love the work you do for your channel!!!🙂
The website said that WoC performed at 8:45, NOT the usual 9:00. When I was looking at the website earlier this week I noticed the difference in time. Even though the park "closed" to the general public at 9:00, there would have been some lingering general admission guests who had seen WoC still in the park at 10:00. The "party" guests, technically, had the park to themselves for only about 2 hours. Disney should have scheduled WoC around 7:00 seeing as it's dark by 6:00. Why wait so long on a party night? Disney is sooo generous. Note: Just noticed the burned out lights under the Pixar Pier sign. Classic!
MM is not paid for through dues. That’s against the timeshare law. The event is paid for out of DVC’s marketing budget, which is funded by new direct points sales. That’s why it’s a Blue Card benefit only.
If you’re going to commit to being a dvc, wouldn’t you also be an annual pass holder? If so the free entry isn’t really the draw but more so the emptiness of the park. I would think.
We just went to our first MM event at Epcot a week ago and it was amazing!!! But seeing DCA’s version is giving me fomo! Traversing that park compared to Epcot?!?! 😮hopefully the stars again for a future stay fingers crossed
We just became DVC members- and it seems like a lot of members didn’t get the email about the event to register, at least that what a lot of people in the DVC group for Disney Villa are saying
We had booked someone's dvc room last year and it just happened to be over Moonlight Magic. I was hoping to get in but since we aren't dvc members it was a no go sadly. It was so funny though because when I mentioned it in a fb group, people were offering double what I paid to get our room.

@@RobRoyRoadie you get what I’m saying. If I didn’t purchase a contract from Disney I wouldn’t be able to go. Unless I were given tickets by a member of course.
Dude, your Pringles video is so fun to watch. Would you like to do a live stream sometime together where we have a count off??? You don't have to be vaccinated to come to California.
Yea I guess after you pay 22,000 and 75 dollars a month get in park free and rides and ice cream. I wish most people that would never happen. Unless you are rich
You must have not looked up the current Disneyland president... His pedigree is Disney cruise line and Disney vacation club. This was not about promoting or monetizing the park. This was to bolster DVC.
