That would not be a good idea for Usman because doing that could just very well give Edwards the openings he needs to land crisp counters that hurt or possibly even finish Usman again. You can't underestimate Edwards' stand-up, he might be a low volume striker who doesn't have a lot of raw power, but his precision, timing and shot selection is enough to make up for that. Usman has to go back to his wrestling roots like he did in this fight, and spend as little time as possible on the feet with Edwards. Grinding out that decision win might be boring, but its the safest and most ideal path to victory especially since Usman and his coaches now know Edwards can knock him out. There's always the chance Usman lands a shot that hurts or even knocks out Edwards on the feet, but it can't be relied upon because of Edwards' skills and awareness.
