Nile, you just demonstrated something really wonderful... you caught yourself doing negative self talk ("It was rubbish...") and adjusted it to be about how you were feeling. ("That's not right. It felt so wobbly!") I hope you know how incredibly emotionally intelligent and healthy that is! Most people never figure out how to do that. Well done.

Nile, I’m a former figure skater and I just want to give you props for how FAST you mastered skills that normally take most people 2-3 YEARS to accomplish. Non-skaters might not catch how impressive this is, but BRACKETS after just a few months? Bruh. Respect. You are truly a gifted athlete with an incredible work ethic, and you should be proud of how far you’ve come in such a short time period.

You got this! Watching from BC, Canada. Ex-men’s figure skater as well. Your edges are excellent, you have the core ability, trust yourself and it will happen. How about a couple of toe jumps or work on some more intricate foot work. Just remember your skates are an extension of you and trust yourself. I know you can win this!

The thing I noticed in previous vlogs showing Nile competing, is that he had very elegant body lines. So you saw the elegance not the effort. That translates very well into the ice dancing.

When I was younger I did competitive gymnastics. I loved it. My family moved and then I got into figure skating competitively. I started watching you for gymnastics content, and love that I now get to watch you do skating! My 2 favorite passions of sport!

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is such an awesome idea for a skating programme! I would love to see someone do this in competition (if they have, I have never seen it). Maybe this will give an idea to someone next season - we see the same musicals and soundtracks over and over, but this is not one that has been done to death and would be great to see.

I watched another couple skate after Nile and Liv and the difference in skill level was huge. I was shocked when they gave them 7.5s and 8,I thought maybe a 6. The judges are definitely being overly generous. And they weren't even the ones to go home! I haven't watched all the skaters but if that other couple is indicative of what Nile and Liv are up against, they've got this in the bag.

There's a few good ones getting almost as high scores as Nile and Olivia, but none of them can quite match their technical level. Part of a performance is of course the acting where some participants may be further ahead, and who knows how the audience will vote, but I believe Nile's heading all the way to the final 😊

The judges have got to keep the competition tight. It's more entertaining that way. If one team was far and away scoring better than all the rest, the excitement level decreases because you know what to expect.

The Chitty Chitty Bang Bang performance was phenomenal. You owned the ice. You looked very comfortable and in control of your movements. You could see how much you enjoyed it. I'm excited for you to push yourself in other areas other than gymnastics. I'm a 53 year old woman who has never done a cartwheel and yet I never feel shamed by you or your friends. Honestly id be more on the floor then skating. Each time I go roller blading I fall like about 20 times before I finally get it again and then I go crazy turning and doing stuff I prob shouldnt be doing. Cant even imagine skating on ice lol
