Since it can do Polycapo, it seem like it would have enough power to run a couple Effects or equivalents at the same time. If I remember right, it already has a combination Delay/Reverb. More "combination" Effects would make the unit even more attractive and useful.
I love this pedal!! For us guys that are using stomp box pedalboards, this is the perfect 'Swiss Army Knife' pedal for those one-off effects I'll use for 1 song in a set. I run it midi through a Gigrig G3S and can recall any effect per preset. Perfect pedalboard pedal!!
@@davidmoore8397 Very true. The thing that sticks out most, if it's able to do poly capo, it has the dsp to run 2-3 stereo delays. Probably has 1/3 or so of the HX Effects DSP power, but they only let you use 1 at a time. I'm definitely not their target market. If it does want you want for options and size, enjoy!
You're thinking about it jn the wrong way. Pros and session guys don't like menu diving and prefer tones from analog stompboxes. This is the perfect swiss army knife to have a one off effect that they might not normally dedicate a pedal spot to while also being able to do things that analog stuff can't do.
@@LeviBulger Other than the hx1 is a digital device with lots of menu diving options and a tiny screen? If it works for you great. I think it's too expensive compared to the HX effects. I'd rather buy a used HXE for an extra $100. On top of that, if it can run poly capo, it's capable of running 2-3 delays. So the unit is way more capable but line 6 decided to only let a single effect be used. Possible that decision was based on the form factor?
Hi, thanks for the video - sounds interesting. But how do you determine when an effect is placed before the Tonex and when an effect is placed after the Tonex? Since you are using the 4-cable method, the output from the HX One is only mono, or am I mistaken?
Hey Jason! Did you find that the signal is one sided when you turn on true bypass? Mine is having that. But it’s normal on stereo when on dsp bypass. Need some help!
@@stevieknighten Yes, it then shows the preset name. Now I get what you're saying. But the plus is that you know what effect is engaged of that preset. I actually like it now because I know how to tweak the effect (on the fly) when I know what the effect is.
