Hi everyone! Welcome back to my channel. 😊
Today I wanted to speak about some of the fears I had when starting my creative business and how I overcame them.
It unfortunately wasn't something that happened overnight, and I dealt with the fear and anxiety of working in my business for many years. I experienced a lot of self doubt and it took a few things for me to stop getting in my own way of reaching for my goals!
There were a few things in particular that I did to help move past that first really hard part of getting started, and I wanted to talk about them today.
Let me know in the comments if you've had your own experience with this, I'd love to hear! 🙂👇

Definitely needed to hear this and related so much to what you said about wasting time and wishing I had starting things sooner! I'm turning 30 this year and constantly feel like I'm behind..plus, everything feels like it's moving so slowly too! I just wish I could skip to the successful part haha

Ahh those feelings hit hard! 😭 But remember everyone is on their own timeline, and I often regret wishing about skipping to the successful part when I was younger. I think because I realised the times I felt most creative and inspired were while I was working towards my goals. I feel like even when you achieve those goals, there's always something else that you'll want instead. Enjoy the journey as much as possible!😅

Great inspiring words, doing it for future me really hit home. I’d be interesting in seeing your RU-vid or Instagram editing process. Like do you use after effects for motion graphics, sourcing B roll and music etc.

It always hit hard for me too thinking about that! I’d love to do more tutorial videos on editing for YT and IG, definitely will be adding those to the list! 😊

Your openness to share keeps me coming back. I like the do it for future you idea. I’m in my late 50s and, not to be morbid, am finally doing it because I don’t have forever. I’m focusing on branding work in the wellness space.

hi kayleigh! i've been loving your videos, they've helped me a lot and i've taken your advice. however, instagram isn't pushing my reels or posts to non-followers much as i decided to bring an oldish account back to life and i think many of my followers are inactive so there's VERY little engagement like 2-20 likes per post/reel. should i make a new account or continue to post daily in the hope of seeing growth soon?

Thank you so much, I'm glad they've been helpful for you! 😊 I totally know how this feels! My advice would be to figure out a really consistent schedule and experiment with posting for a little while. I'd be inclined to try and post reels daily, even if it's just for a month! Then see if that makes a difference, I'd be really interested to see if that helps improve your reach. When my reach has dropped significantly in the past, I've found it usually works to post daily for a little while, and the more you post the more Instagram recommends your content to non-followers in general! 🙂
