I had no idea the Tropicana was demolished.😞I used to go to Vegas a lot in the mid-90's as a youngster. And often, we would stay at the Tropicana. I'm sure that Ramona took care of some of our rooms! So from someone whose room you likely cleaned... Thank you for everything you've done, Ramona! I hope you enjoy your time off and may you have amazing adventures yet to come! ❤❤

I was expecting a LOT worse for it being the last night that hotel was in use!

Hopefully you made it back for the liquiation sale they held over the next couple months (probably now concluded). Yes, they sold linens. Yes, they sold furniture. And yes, if you were willing to do to the work to remove it, they even sold toilets.

I stayed there last year when I was “stuck” in Vegas while a snowstorm blew through Toronto. The hotel portion was run by Hilton, the casino was small, but I really wish I could’ve check out the pool, but it was early March. Of the 3 hotels (This one, Flamingo, MGM grand) (and 1 motel, the Travelodge airport) I’ve stayed at in Vegas, it was my favourite. I’ll miss it.

I was near the trop yesterday and it looks so different, the towers are down to their bare bones. 💔

I was in Vegas when the Mirage closed, I stayed next door at Treasure Island and wandered around the mirage the last night before it closed, was really sad to see these iconic casinos close down.

Theres just something so interesting about being the last person ever to see a room or building interior. its almost like at that moment it's just still in time, liminal.

If you all don't know why it's being demolished so basically the Oakland Athletics baseball team has playing in a dump stadium for the past like 20 years or so they need a new stadium however for some reason, Oakland couldn't get them one and so now they're relocating just like the raiders did and the Tropicana owner was working to replace it so the new land will be a baseball stadium and a new casino

I remember staying in this hotel with my family like a few years ago and there was a shooter me and my family were extremely scared yet my dad was so calm it was scary I wouldn’t want to stay at the Tropicana again because of that bad memory but it was a cool hotel still

The Mormon man is truly the last one to check out ever at the casino resort. Ramona was so diligent in the years of her employment. Her duty will be greatly missed as the joint is being demolished. It'll be a new chapter at the location with a techy ballpark! The guests as baseball fans can hardly wait to see the first homerun committed by an Athletic just to be "matchful".🌵

While the stadium will occupy nine acres, Bally's will keep the remainder of the 35-acre (14 ha) site for a new casino resort. New name of the new casino will be known as Bally's Las Vegas, it will include 1,500 rooms. Work on the new resort could begin some time during the stadium's construction or at a later point following the latter's completion. Bally's may also partner with another resort operator to begin the project sooner. It has been suggested that Bally's new property in Las Vegas could be developed similarly to their property in Chicago.

I do remember staying here to a trip to Las Vegas. This was around sometime in 2016 or something. This is truly heartbreaking I remember unpacking to come here arriving to the hotel and everything. R.I.P one true legend of a building. Also any more clips you will do of the roadster?

Kinda like the SOFITEL hotel here in the Philippines, they are in the coast and the government were planning to move(expand) the land in Manila, and with popular demand, they closed down sometime this year. It had a huge impact on the lives of the filipinos as it was established in 1976, almost 49 years ago. Good thing it is not getting demolished since it is still a landmark

I was actually the very last guest you can see me walking out behind you when you leave the hotel. I checked out mobily after we walked out And I was the last person to have purchased a drink at the Tropicana and I was interviewed by Cristen Drummond. I have the footage to prove it too. I just didn't make a huge RU-vid video about it that's all. I don't have a channel yet.

the stuff on the floor is definitely cat litter, my boyfriend has a cat and i'd know that infernal substance anywhere. i literally have a pair of sandals i keep outside the bathroom bc i cant stand the feeling of stepping on litter. we have a covered litterbox but it sticks to the cat's paws and he even KICKS it out of the door!!

Outside of The Tropicana is Mandalay Bay, and in 2018 a shooter rented a suite, and he shot from the suite, and outside of Mandalay Bay was a concert, so he shot at the concert, and it was one of the biggest mass shootings in USA
