This is the only guy I still enjoy talking about pac. He’s loyal and honest. Pac made a lot of mistakes choosing friends but he made the right decision with this guy !
Much respect for Angie Martinez. She was young in the game and releasing the interview probably would've shot her to the top early in her career but being an honorable woman of integrity and her genuine love for hip-hop and people got her to the top anyway.
Actually it would have crushed her career, she would have been fired like wendy williams and that would be the end of her. Perhaps she would get lucky and get a TV show like wendy but the odds of a radio personality making it in TV is rare.
Ignorance is bliss... Out west, Pac was their hero, because they really began hating NYC artist. Those same people turned around and murdered him. How foul is that?
Pac is and will always be the realest rapper/human in the entertainment game, watching his old interviews brings me more joy than listening to todays garbage
Angie didn't put that interview out because everybody 2Pac named was connected to her in some way, whether business relationships, or personal friendships, or third party members thereof. Puffy and all of them would've blamed her for allowing 2Pac to use her platform to talk trash. That interview wouldn't have helped her career as a hip hop journalist, because all the major players in the NYC music industry would've had her blackballed. But yeah, putting that interview out would've also further fanned the flames of the east coast/west coast beef, most definitely. Puffy even had his goons stealing the turntables of any DJ who played Hitt'em Up in his presence. So yeah, he would've had Angie fired.
Man when did u ever see puffy steak the turntables ? Who else u heard say that puffy and then stole the turn tables? U really believe that just cuz puffy snake ass said so..? So u believe him when he say he’s not a fruit cake and u believe him when he say he didn’t set up biggie.. ok so u must believe pigs can fly also right
I love how much Dialogue starts salivating at the mouth whenever he hears new Pac information for the first time.. you can literally hear the spit buildup through the phone.
Yo I wanna diss you, but your comment is too f**king hilarious. You earn a pass on this🤣😅😆😅🤣😄😀😂 You deserve a 1000 likes for this comment. It was indeed funny😁
@@jalenaverylloydaveryiisson8862 the same with Malcolm X and Martin Luther King so what's your point? A soldier guys but once, How many times have you died? Coward
Tupac said it right when he said, “real nig*gas don’t die” you gotta understand what he was saying … he is a legend.. on the level of Elvis, Marley, etc
Sadly out of all the people Pac knew, Napoleon and Reggie are the only ones that seem to keep it real in the interviews and not try to rewrite history.
If you ever read Angie's book she put out years ago she mentions sitting on this unreleased interview and she would never put it out because of what could have come from it especially during those very heightened times.
Its not footage. It's a audio recording. It was recorded before being Aired on radio. It wasn't even recorded in New York or a radio station. Angie copyrighted it. Not Hot97. It was recorded in LA at 2Pac's mansion
Muta Beal is the realist … taking up the religion allows him to give a honest and straight forward perspective of back then and what these things and live style can bring
It's naive to think she care about the the out come of the interview. i think rich ppl who's there names were in the interview don't want it to come out. ppl like Jay Z, Puffy
What about everyone else who was around Angie Martinez when the interview was done? The engineers, the technicians, the rest of her camp and 2pac camp?
Bro it's not disrespectful at all, it don't matter if pac is dead for 20 something years, pac mentioned some REAL NEW YORK STREET GOONS names in that interview, he was angry and wasn't thinking right .. she shouldn't release that interview, and if she do release it she should edit out that part ..
I doubt that’s the reason why Angie didn’t release that interview. She’s from the east coast and has a lot of relationships with artists and labels from New York. She just didn’t want to lose it all and burn all her connections for a pac interview
@@alpha-boss she's at an age now where she wouldn't have any children but I would still build a relationship with her because she's a very authentic woman
@@alpha-boss He was already dealing with problems. She was more than likely not trying to make problems for her East Coast Friends. I remember hearing that Puffy didn't want it out.
Dude! When he said Pac started mentioning names, my face was like 😱 If that interview releases, the conflict continues, but at least not for 2Pac and Biggie anymore. Another thing is, the interview might also do some justice against people like Suge Knight and Puff. Wow. The chills man 🥶 Hopefully one day I'll still be alive when that interview gets released.
Naw Some people are more under pressure in their own hood than everywhere else in the world. Living as a bum in a different city is sometimes easier than living "comfortably" in your own hood
Pac should’ve done that interview with SWAY. He would’ve been released it. That’s the problem with the world.. when someone calls others out for doing something wrong, people want to turn their heads away and not rectify the problem/situation. What’s the point of Angie telling people she has a interview with Pac, but refuses to release it? This doesn’t just apply for journalist, but this goes for anyone: “KNOWLEDGE IS A SECRET THAT SHOULD NEVER BE KEPT.”
@@J.C... bro that was 30 years ago, most of us are grown and know how to handle words, I mean how bad can it be for puffy? When there's a guy on RU-vid saying he paid his crew to kill pac, you have Gene Deal saying Jimmy henchman told Andre harell and puff that he was gonna spank pac, so they knew all along pac was gonna get robbed, you have several people on the internet saying suge paid poochie to kill big! I mean damn how bad can it be
@@quanbrooklynkid7776 How? Pac addressed who he addressed...no subliminal dissing. Then everyone had an opinion some genuine and some out to get a boost for their sales.
@@maximillianbruglione6725 Yea but they certainly didn’t do anything to lessen the media hype of east vs west beef either. If anything they fueled it. Tupac always blaming Biggie and Puff for the shooting, trying to create problems with Nas and with JayZ for whatever nonsense reasons. Then you got the Source Awards where Snoop and Suge were on stage saying everything they said. Those dudes were moving reckless af, adding fuel to that east coast, west coast hype.
@@whatwhat9004 Dobyou have any "Street" or combat experience? Your opinion after at least 20 years does not hold much weight as for the Art of War...and "business is just War by a another name." When you claim to humble another person; especially a rapper, by taken their jewelry that is one form of ultimate humiliation and disrespect. When you shoot somebody that is a deadly act that scars them for life. When you brag about it and make music that is saleable it is adding insult to injury. Did you not listen when Pac clearly said, "I told y'all it was just about Biggie and Bad Boy...then other people had to open their mouth with an opinion." Pac was up against known and unknown shooters, gangstas, and killers. These same people loosely and together set him up on bogus rape charges. They left firearms in his hotel room and didn't claim them, or assist him in fighting the charges. (What Stand Up Friends should do in "Street and Loyalty Ethics") Pac needed a Strong and Active team quickly. Death row was the team that Pac joined after being shot and robbed on the East Coast. Most of the East Coast Artist and Magazines jump in something that was marketable but not their damn business. Pac did what he felt he had to do. Pac just needed to move a little better and stayed more alert. Especially wearing his bullet proof vest and staying strapped to defend himself.
Much Respect to Napoleon and Angie Martinez.. both have a good head on their shoulders. Funny how the interviewer was still trying to get some of the info out of him. 🤣😂
If the story of her being respectful and responsible enough to not release it is true, that’s very wise of her. God bless her. It’s really her job to put it out, it’s the artists’ job to be mature and responsible enough to know what to say and what not to say.
Hahahaha. You are crazy man. U believe Angie didn’t release that interview cuz she had integrity and cared about the well-being of others. Boy you are one funny ass individual. Everyone Tupac mentioned and dissed in that interview was connected to angie in some way. Puffy and jay z made her not release that interview if she had put that interview out her whole career would have been over as she would have been blackballed by everyone and everywhere and she was told that and knew that. Stop with the weird shit homie.
She didn't release the interview because of Diddy and the east coast won't have rolled with her for interviewing Tupac not because she didn't want ppl killed The Diddy team didn't want pac to have a voice in the east
He was on a song saying he fucked someone’s wife. She said her reasons and Napoleon agrees. Why y’all weird ass fans act like y’all know these people personally? You’re a fan
Jay-Z have the tape in secure place she said in interview with Fat Joe, all the east are afraid this will get out. Like Mo say Andre Harrell + Puff +++
Can’t give into the trickery..that eventually cost him his life..can’t move out emotion..half the people testing you ain’t got nothing going on..so why feed into it ..beat em down with success
PAC was whooping their ass in success too, he just wanted to really step on them fools neck, success wasn't enough to fill the vengeance in his soul and I understand him for it
It's trickery to tell the truth now....🤔🤔🤔 Pretty much sums up how all the deaths has gotten worse since then... I thought the media were into the standard for manipulations & deceptions...💯💯💯 I guess not when it came to Pac...👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Yup that’s the interview. It will never be released bc pac aired out everybody skeletons in that interview. He definitely would have gotten put back in prison or sacrificed if that got released, Angie triggered him with the naive questions she asked & he was livid so he just spilled the beans ! I heard about what he said in the interview through my sis who use to be close with Angie & she told her a few things pac was saying & yo frfr it ain’t surprising bc the shit he said was tru but it’s just it’s 2PAC saying it which makes it 10x more crucial & factual bc he was so real & the public hold on to his word like the Bible even til this day!
@@sunset2798 Snippets were released. Because, they only played about 15 minutes of the interview on Hot97. Angie even told Pac right before he ran into Nas at Bryant Park at the VMA after party where they squashed their beef, that she wasn't able to play the whole interview and she said Pac told her not to worry about it. She said he told her that he just appreciated her coming out to Cali to interview him. Angie has 3 hours of unreleased audio from that interview. You've never heard that interview because it's never been released in its entirety.
Im gon take the Snoop Dogg angle and say that's why it didn't come out...Pac was REALLY pissed at Snoop and I think Suge made sure that didn't get released bc Pac already said everybody he had a problem with....And allegedly he called out the Bad Boy street team some by name and Angie wasn't down with that bc she gotta walk around in the NY streets
I mean damn Gene Deal already said jimmy henchman told puff and Andre harell, he was gonna spank pac then robbed and shot him at quod studios, you have retired police saying puffy paid the crips a million dollars to kill pac, and you have the Crip making videos talking about meeting up, there is nothing that can be worse than what's out there
The media didn't make Tupac drop Hit em up. The media didn't make West Side Connection drop Bow Down. The media didn't make The Dogg Pound drop New York New York. When the biggest rapper on the East Coast ( Biggie Smalls ) is murdered in a paid hit on the West Coast. It was most definitely an East Coast vs West Coast war. I hate when they say it wasn't real and the media made it up.
I agree with you about the beef. 25 years later, the ones who were in the game then and are still alive, always say it was the media. I'm like don't act like we don't remember what happened!! Was it the media when Suge Knight got onstage at the Source Awards and dissed Puffy and said come to Death Row?? Was it the media that made Bad Boy records release Who Shot Ya shortly after Pac went to jail?? Was it the media that caused Biggie to go on the radio station and announce that west coast rappers were in town filming a video, and someone did a drive by on the Dogg Pound? Was it the media when Pac dropped, Hit Em Up?? What the media did was report the facts of what was going on. Maybe Dre and Snoop and Puffy dont "remember" how things went down, but us fans still remember!! RIP Tupac and Biggie.
That's not what they mean. Before all of the things that you pointed out in your post, Vibe magazine put out a front page cover with East vs West on it. Isn't a popular national urban magazine the media? There were people who worked at the magazine who disagreed with that cover being put out on display because they said it was going to cause bigger problems and their concerns were ignored and it was put out anyway.
@@mr.allfacts9489 Who you callin' sis, Bitch? I don't need to check my date cause you read it wrong. I was saying that the magazine cover is what made it what it was. Nobody was calling it East vs West until the magazine cover. But speaking of the media, when Hit Em Up and Bow Down are played, where are they played? On the radio. Are the artists playing the records themselves? No. The radio stations didn't have to play the records, they chose to. New York New York wasn't a diss record. The video was a diss, but was it Snoop and the Dogg Pound that aired it on the music television stations? No. The music television stations didn't have to air New York New York or Hit Em Up, they chose to. It wasn't an East vs West war. It was a Bad Boy vs Death Row war that got of of hand and the media played a large role as to why it got that way.
My speculation is that it wasn't about East vs West, yet he was talking about people on the East... she didn't want to escalate the situation & "inadvertently" protected those people on the East by not releasing.
I know I’m not bugging and I need art or day one to confirm, but I know I listened to a exclusive snippet of the interview, like a voice over from her book on art channel, been looking for it since. Feel like it got deleted!!!
