Good luck to Luke, he's living the dream. No one would have been surprised if he didn't win the premier league and yet no one's surprised he won it. His biggest strength at the minute is, he just plays with the total freedom of being a 17 year old, who could very well be the next world champion.

i bought my boy the like littler loadout darts , he loved them but realised they are not for him , ive just got him the aspinall gen 1 and now hes throwing decent

Humble and well explained. The kid is a phenom, and continues to surprise what we'd expect of a 16-17 yo. Worried about the temptations ahead for him when he can legally drink but he's surpassing most of our expectations during this manic 5 months of new found fame thus far.

I thought the Premier league was too soon, I was worried if he got beaten too often it would affect his game 😮 I've never been more wrong....'duck to water' springs to mind !

Well none of us live forever so nobody can say for sure that there’s never going to be anybody that can beat Phil Taylor’s record, there is always going to be somebody.

Most defiantly has brought so much life to darts, arena sellouts, huge sales in dart boards/darts, and has actually made it interesting to watch now, he plays how he likes which also adds an extra twist because he is unusual

I think Luke’s gunna be the first to start something new in a way, the amount of young people he’s now got playing darts I can see this becoming somewhat of a regular thing where we will see young 16/17/18 year olds coming through and it just becoming a common occurrence, obviously I’m not saying every year or two, but I can definitely see a hell of a lot more teenagers becoming big names, some will probably fall off and crumble/burn out. But this kid has DEFINITELY changed the sport for me…

Followed his career b4 he went into the pdc & honestly not shocked at wot he’s achieved so far. Ur right about 6/7 works titles & a burnout. Hopefully doesn’t make too much money & walk away too soon

My only concern about Luke Littler is how he performs towards the end of the season when it gets meaty, around the start of fall. A lot of phenoms in baseball and other sports which have long seasons aren't used to the length of a professional season. Even with load management, it can be a challenge.

I think you were totally correct. And the fact that he has skipped a few Euro tours and player's championchips. He also skipped the World Series now. I think the really big mistake was to put him in the World Series. But he has done way better than I thought too.

Best thing to ever happen to darts. Think he will have a dip at some point, but let's just enjoy his incredible talent. Also, crazy to consider Taylor's 16 World Championships, and Littler having to win it every other year til he's 50 to reach that milestone!

Something akin to breaking up with his girlfriend or sudden health issues might put unforeseen pressure on him… we’ve all for the most part lost our first ‘true’ love… he’s 17… lots of life to live away from the oche… wishing him all the very best… in darts, he has found his niche… definitely can’t ever take that away from him…

I don't think he will burn out, he is too relaxed and is just born to play the game. As long as he has a good circle of friends and family to support him, he could retire by the time he's 30 with the amount of prize money he could pick up.

I had similar fears and reservations for Luke. My concern was he'd be another Kirk Shepherd. That said, I'm happy to be proved wrong!

Luke is just one of those phenomena that comes around in sports every 15/20 years. He loves his darts, he doesn't care which is why he's so good, he plays through enjoyment, he’s humble has a great family network around him that keeps him grounded. He will only get better, he is already deciding whether he is going to play in this tournament or that tournament. He has such a natural talent for the game. If he loses a match he brushes it off and moves on to the next. I don't think Phil Taylor’s 16 World Championships will be beaten, it was at a different time and there wasn't the number of quality darts players as there are now. He will get to Goat status though and at this rate that might be a lot quicker than any of us could imagine. I will enjoy seeing him beat Jeff Smith this evening (Jeff’s arrogance will be his downfall) I could be wrong but it's going to take some exceptional darts to beat Luke or Luke will have to have a bad day. However, I believe he's there to win as he was in the premier league final. His focus was unbelievable and if he had that mindset at the US masters, only Humphries at his best could beat him

I’ve followed your channel for years and I couldn’t agree more with you about Luke Littler and “burn out” for one so young. I also thought the premier league was too soon but I’ve been proved wrong. Luke reignited my interest in darts during the 2024 WC. I’ve been watching darts since the Eric Bristow, John Lowe, Keith(138c/o) era from the 70’s and 80’s and my interest in darts started to wane over the last few years same boring players week in week out MVG’s level started to wane and the excitement for me had gone. Along came Luke Littler and the rest is history. As long as his schedule is managed properly and he has the right people around him(his family) he’ll go a very long way in the sport.😇🙏🏾

He's definitely brought so much more attention and its for the better it will only make darts bigger, was annoying at first thought cause I couldn't get a new dartboard anywhere cause they were all sold out 😂. I reckon 8 world titles I don't think he will get to 10 but he's got the ability to but with the amount of talent now it will be hard to get more than that

As someone who has only started playing darts recently. So from the perspective of someone who only finds out from the news etc. I would say the only players that are household namesare Bristow, Taylor and Luke littler. People with zero interest in darts wiuld know those names. I didn't know who van gerwen was until I started playing. And I didn't know fallon. Still don't actually if I'm honest. I don't think you could stop any random person on the street and they would know who van gerwyn or fallon necessarily are. The other three are household names. At least in my eyes.

Have you seen some of the young players coming up? Luke has maybe 5 years until he isn't so far ahead of the other top players anymore.

I can’t see how fallon sherrock could ever of been spoke about as the next big thing. She only beat a man and never did anything of substance at all on the men’s tour. Luke on the other hand smashed his way though the worlds and now winning everything.

Luke is great for darts. There are loads of new players and teams trying to join our league in South Manchester. Hope Luke can keep it going, his game could go up a few gears when he turns 18 lol 🍻🍻🍻🍻 (or down 🤣)

He's had a flying start but I worry about his mental state. His outburst towards the 'doubters' right after he won the Premier League shows me he's going to struggle to handle adversity when it comes. And it will come. When he gets even better and starts winning everything, people will turn on him. Its the way British people operate.

This is a comment i made on Reddit about 5 months ago hahahahah: He's simply too young to be featured. The strain the Prem would put on a newbie, let along a 16 year old kid would kill him off if the media haven't done so already. Unless he wins the World's, there's a duty of care to safeguard players and throwing him into the Prem without being reigning Champ is just greed from those up above at the cost of this poor lad that's just trying to get started on the pro tour.

The video title says you were wrong but in the video you say that you were not wrong… i expected an apology in this video but you still don’t seem to have understood: the nuke LOVES playing darts. The fact that he won the league puts him in a very comfortable situation regarding the burn out risk. It was the best decision ever. For the pdc, for the sport itself and for himself. He seems to be confident enough to claim freedom towards his management regarding breaks. And the management seems to accept that and support him really good. If he WAITED 2 or 3 more years (like you suggested) God knows if he’d ever get to where he is now. Maybe in 1 or 2 years we’ll already see the next 2 or 3 youngsters appearing on tv. With a similar Progression. The thing is: the nuke is ready. And you doubted it. But instead of an apology we get to see you justify why you said what you said and flatter the nuke. Basically you still don’t seem to have understood what is going on here. The darts sport‘s popularity is growing massively. The average beer bellied 35 years old pub player will no longer stand a chance to survive in this sport. Luke Littler sure is an exceptional talent, but more competitive, young players will pop up on screen sooner than you’ll think. And they will be prepared. And they’ll be greedy.
