Sparring should be tough, and challenging. I take the stories with a pinch of salt though. Who knows the conditions of the spar.

They are levels to this game and AJ will show that when he sparks dubois out and if Frank Warren or any of his team said the sky is blue, you would still look to check 😂😂

He hasn't fought a big puncher since Ruiz. Will be a good test which he should overcome by round 8 latest. Uysk was the last competive fight, since then it's been cannon fodder to build up his confidence. DDD improved but will come up short. I'd like to see AJ run it back with Parker again

Dubois is no joke these days, those 2 performances + the fuel he’ll have from going in as champion make him a real problem. I back this Ben Davidson trained AJ to do the business, but wouldn’t be at all surprised if dubois is too young and ferocious for him.

Adam Smith has came out since this and said he was there and that all the talk of Dubois dropping AJ is nonsense. He said that 100% that didn’t happen.

If Joshua had just turned pro when this happened ( 11 years ago ) when Dubois was 15/16 years old! then they are both different fighters today, it’s a question of could Dubois of achieved the same as Joshua if he had been in his shoes 🤔

Remember Rocky 5 when Tommy the machine Gunn beat Union Cane…. Union Cane wasn’t really champion as he never won it from Rocky Balboa. Tommy Gunn won a belt that was manufactured. Similar situation here, both fighters going up against each other for a manufactured belt that they never won from Oleksandr Usyk. They both lost to Usyk. Yes, Usyk gifted the belt out of kindness, and because the IBF would have ordered him to anyway, but something just feels massively wrong about calling someone a champion, when they never actually beat the real champion. I don’t agree with that at all.

im pretty sure the fight ends with aj winning...i just think much more experience and too big and strong...plus aj is quicker.....aj beats fury aswell by ko easier than people might think....anthony joshua is a level above

Dubious has developed heart and does have obvious power. However Joshua is just a machine, he may be quite static but his power is absolutely deadly. He’s is 18 stone of pure muscle and for his size he manoeuvres the muscle with ease.

Aj wins, but if dubious catches him? i got a TKO from daniel. I got AJ winning by knock out unless he gets caught. Fight will end early, won't go past 6 rounds imo

Daniel is too easy to hit. Aj has enough power to stop anyone if he lands clean. Aj also has the edge in experience, better fundamental skills and he is still in his physical prime. Aj should win by stoppage around the 8th....Fun fight though. Anything can happen at heavyweight.

Dubois has definitely gained a heap of clout after stopping Hrgovic and rightly so. That being said I don't see him defeating AJ.

Old sparring doesn't usually matter BUT power does, it clearly happened you can tell from Joshua's body language and the way he talked about it that there's more to the story than he's saying.

AJ seems so insecure about it, even responding instantly to the interviewer without hearing what he had to say with “was you there?”.. yeah nah AJ defo got KO’d in sparring. He ain’t got a granite chin, Ruiz who couldn’t KO 65 year old louis Ortiz dropped AJ 4 times.

Really don’t care who won in sparring. Heard that talk too many times to take it as any credible fight talk. Dubois could’ve knocked out AJ in sparring for all I care. I still say AJ whoops Dubois on fight night.

Dubois is good but he makes way too many mistakes comes forward and gets hit clean waaay to much towards the later rounds stops moving his head as much and is again easy target. I don’t expect Dubois to do anything else he’s not a defender boxer more offence which plays best to his advantage. However Dubois best version still gets hit hard by AJ and I see a knockout 5-6 round. We’ll see

Dubois has come on leaps and bounds. However, he takes too many shots. Look at the beginning of the Hrgovic fight. That won’t fly with a fighter like AJ and his pedigree. If Dubois leaves himself open like he does, AJ will get him out there very quick.

Dubois has no advantages over Joshua whatsoever and to constantly go on about a sparring session that happened over 10 years ago is ridiculous . Hrgovic hit Dubois at will in the first 5 rounds and Dubois is made for a right hand and he can’t move his head . Joshua beat Zhang over 3 rounds and when Zhang is absolutely useless after 4 rounds nobody can honestly think he beats Joshua. Parker doesn’t last 5 rounds against Joshua because Parker’s punch resistance clearly isn’t the same .
