Research note: the KISS logo that is mentioned at 50:53 (while not standing for Knights in Satan's Service as per his main complaint) does resemble a symbol used by the N*zis which I was unaware of at the time of filming. Looking back at the original tape he does mention it briefly but I completely missed it because it's glossed over for the sake of calling KISS Satanists. I've been a Pokemon fan since the late 90s, early 2000s, the first Pokemon games i had was Pinball & Silver. I did watch the anime, read some of the manga, played a lot of the games, even tho i like Digimon, Pokemon & Mario i've known the longest.

17:57 The really funny thing is there are quite a few people who interpret a Christian message in the Wizard of Oz 1939 (and I think the first book too) Funny enough though in the og book series there is mentions of this fairy queen named Lurline who was the one who originally created/enchanted the land, which is boardered by a deadly desert that kills all living who come in contact with the sand, so you can pretty much only get there via magic or freak accident (not to mention that every time Dorothy goes to oz and/or the countries surrounding it and other magic lands, with the exception being in book 6, it’s either done via a method that would normally kill someone, or something happens that could potentially be dangerous such as her going off with the shaggy man (who to her is a random stranger) and ends up in places she doesn’t recognize) and so Lurline is pretty much like a god The current/rightful ruler of oz, Princess Ozma is descended from Lurline, and could arguably be considered a demigod of sorts, she is also said to be kind, and has a no-kill policy. There is also this thing called the forbidden fountain which has water that erases peoples entire memories, this was invented by Glinda because there was this one king of oz who used to be evil so she made him drink it, he then later became a better person and king. It also gets used on the nome king in book 6 when he tries to take over (granted he’s a reoccurring villain so this happens multiple times, but I think there are other factors at play that lead to him being evil). Speaking of the nome king, considering the nome kingdom is underground and that people have been threatened with being thrown into furnaces, and the fact that the king of Ev made a Faustian bargain of sorts with him by exchanging his family for immortality. He could be considered to be a devil-like figure, especially with his constant opposition to Ozma, Dorothy, and co. There is also the fact that as a baby, Ozma was hidden and disguised as a boy named Tip, and when she returned the magic spell on Oz making it so everyone there never aged or died also returned. This combined with the fact that Oz is (atleast nearly) a utopia of sorts, it could vary well be considered to be like heaven. So yeah, I definitely don’t think Oz is very “satanic” at least not in the way the term is being used Extra tldr: Oz 1939, and the og books can be considered to have very Christian messages (albeit they are likely unintentional) and are not promoting anything “demonic” Also, even though the books are over a century old, I low key would not be surprised if there was a church of the rock play based on the books

I actually personally remember the religious scare of Pokemon and Dragon Ball Z (which I was a huge fan of at the time as well). My Catholic mother said those were demonic, as a child I knew it was completely harmless and dumb to think it was otherwise. She only mentioned it once but I still remember it as a personal slight. Then I realized how utter nonsense Christianity was when I was 11 years old at church school and how my teacher said she and her husband slept in separate beds and not kissed each other good night but SHOOK HANDS. That alone snapped me out of it. That was over 20 years ago. I'm now agnostic and I always enjoy it when Christians make absolute fools of themselves. 😂

in Halloween, Michael Myers isn't killed in any of the movies. In the first movie, he gets thrown off of a balcony but disappears, seeming like he's not dead. This trend happens in each movie, seeming like Michael dies, but each time he just comes back. So he's essentially indestructible.

As someone who grew up Christian, I had a weird experience. It's like the people I lived with were okay with things like Pokémon and I am pretty sure they wouldn't care if I was into Harry Potter because I remember watching things like Hocus Pocus and Halloween Town and I wasn't a HP fan, but it just wasn't my thing to those reading this and it was yours more power to you. But there were times it was like maybe you should watch this instead of this. Idk my dad is the main person who made these super confusing rules based on his religious way of thinking while everyone else was pretty chill. He is a Christian and would just go back and forth with what he was and wasn't okay with. So, it was a very confusing time and because of using his Christianity to dictate what was and wasn't okay among other things it led me to having Religious Trauma. So, any kid that grew up with religious parents that also went hard on them I am in the same boat. Great Review Avery can't wait for the next one
